that means a lot! seriously do appreciate you sharing that keeps me going!
You guy's are killing me my mouth is watering 😂 Those were the nicest Yellowtail I've seen Wow!💛🐟💛✌🌿
they were amazing!
Take a trip to Andros Bahamas considering you love big yellows and mangroves also plenty yellow eye and queens on deep drop
@@urbanacargill Oh they’ve been.
@@urbanacargill Hell just do Dry Tortugas it’s awesome.
As a 12 year old, nearly 45 years ago, I spent the summer with my Grandpa in Florida. We cruised over to the Bahamas for two weeks and fished almost every day. And we sure ate a lot of Yellow Tail! What a summer...
sounds like some good memories!
Will is back! Can't wait to see him cooking up some of your scraps again!
haha right!
Clams is back!!!! Heck yeah
haha he is!
On light tackle, it doesn't get any 'funner'!! Congrats on a nice day!
Really doesn’t!
Those are monster yellowtail...I thought I'd caught some decent size ones until I saw this video!! Nice catch!!
That looked like a fun day and those are by far the biggest yellow tail I've ever seen
it was a blast!
And the cooking on the water in the pan smartest thing I ever seen coolest way to cook
haha turned out well!
Fish n Grits! Come on, let's go!
Haha so good!
Excellent collaboration! Three of my favorite channels combined.
Happy to hear it! Thanks so much!
Nothing better than coming home from a day at the office up in gloomy Washington state, smoking a joint, and watching a KWW vid. I wanna go back to the islands!! :D
😂 love it! Thanks so much for watching as always!
Got it,... you are the man to do shit in the FLA keys.......GOT IT, from your 2 friends . KEY WEST WATERMAN
Haha thanks so much for watching!
Awesome video, Aaron. Those flags yellowtails and muttons and porgies amazing CCC. I prefer porky like you said. Thanks for sharing 🎣
thanks so much for watching!
I really needed this today.......been a long couple of weeks and I am with you on deck, chumming, as I get so seasick, the hot Florida sun burning the shit out of my pale Minnesota winter skin.....What a nice diversion from the horrible atrocities being committed in the world these days.....
Thanks for the break, and keeping it REAL....Yup, someday, I won't be caring for a senile, elderly parent and two teenage boys....and then I'll book with you for a simple cruise in the mangroves to catch lunch.....
happy to hear it! hope it was a happy escape from reality! thanks so much for always watching brother!
I agree a lot of people pass on porgies and grunts. A big grunt and porgy are great eating!
Amen!
Yay clam is back! Great episode. Made me hungry as always
Haha stoked!!
I know Porges are good!
Great video thank you.
Thank you!!!
I sure do love how well you fillet your fish . smooth
I try!
Wow, Those yellowtail were STUDS! Glad you guys had a great day of fishing, hope you see lots of new subs! We catch a lot of sheepshead in our area and they are in the Porgy family. They are absolutely some of my favorite fish to eat for sure. Great content, keep it up!
Haha right! And eaten plenty of sheepshead in my time! Love them!!
Can I go fishing with you one day?
I'm with you, love porgy. Rather eat them then grouper. Looks like you caught a nice one!
they are delish!
Great video, I am a fan of a porgy myself.
thanks for watching! and love them!!!
I was down there when this was filmed. Can I just say how bitter I am that I didn’t see any of you…The Keys are absolutely one of the most beautiful places in the US. I’m ready to head south ASAP💯💯
haha musta missed us! and it really is amazing down here! thanks so much for watching! and maybe see you next time!!!
I just saw this and I love fishing around the Keys, did it twice from " Little Torch key" I was raised in Manatee co. My neighbor here had a house there - fishing in Tampa is good but not as good as there
This is life man .
It’s not bad!
I will settle for giant yellowtail anyday and be just as happy!
haha right!
She giggles . Cool. I just love FISH..
Lol!
Big yellowtail are some of the best eating fish. In my top 2 behind tripletail.
they are good that's for sure!
11.16 in the PM, and although I'm up at 4am, I have to watch before Zeds.
haha love it!
I need a cooking with clams: yellowtail tails episode 🤣

Good to see you with them again. Great vid! Keep em’ cumin’
More on the way!

Haha!

Thanks for watching!
I'm following you all over liking yes it is your ...Blessing
🙏
WOW !!! Monster Yellowtail. Awesome vid ! You do a great job.
thanks so much!
I agree with everybody my mouth is literally watering. I’ve got to get back to the ocean. Don’t think I’ve ever had porgy but have caught and eaten a lot of yellowtail so good.
haha man it was good! and porgy is amazing and often overlooked!
Man I love yellowtail. It's like they were made for a filet knife to go through.
haha right
Nice yellow tail, that water is so blue. Greetings from South Africa
it sure was! thanks so much for watching!
That Danco is a beast!!
love them so far!
@@KeyWestWaterman Look at Paul Block knife sharpener on you toob.... it's small and human proof. Will keep any blade sharp as a razor quickly....
cant wear it out either. I've got one on every boat, duck blind, deer stand, toolbox work bench and in the kitchen... just to touch things up when it needs it...
Still have my wicked edge for tough jobs but that block thing is the real deal and priced right
Great video man !!
thank you sir!
Holy quacamolie. We spent all afternoon on Davis Reef today trying to catch yellowtail. Zip, zero nada. Happy to see what a flag yellowtail looks like. Maybe tomorrow. You give us hope. We are using jig heads and bally hoo chunks. Love your videos. You can cook for me anytime.
They can be tricky to find! Just stick with it! Thanks so much for watching!
Wow, those are huge yellowtail. Awesome video 📹. Sir
They were!
Wow nice catch 🪝👍🏻
thank you!
You even broke out the new Danko for the filleting. I’m sure BG will be happy to see that. The taste test had me wondering what’s in my freezer for tonight. Looked good.
haha, love them so far! and it sure was!
That would’ve been funny, to be diving and see a fishing pole go wizzing by you😂
lol right
SUMAC!!!!!! Love using that lemony goodness!! So many people look at you like, you used WHAT??? 😆 I am so going to try that on fish asap! I use it other places but didn't think of fish. Duh...
Haha will loves it!
so happy to stumble across your channel, future long time follower🤙
Welcome to the channel! Love to hear it!
Been catching lots of sunshine bass up here north of Orlando on the St. Johns. We made the blacken fish and grits and everyone loved it, what a simple and great recipe.
man its such a great recipe! thanks so much for watching!
Yellowtail doing well. I'm still on the grouper. It's only 4 months so grouper deep dropping all the time. Wahoo they're heading to and dolphin just never left. Strange year. That was a big yellow tail great job Aaron like always have a great one. Nothing like fresh yellowtail. That's my favorite fish to eat I do like the scamp I just change it up the season does that for me
been a strange year indeed! thanks so much for watching sir!
Scamps the best!
@@gradybrowning3976 yes they taste better than other grouper. I agree
Great video! Wild calab! Keep them coming!
haha thanks for watching!
Those are monsters gotta love it. Gotta get back there soon, just waiting for the stars to align. lol, you're going live.
they def were! haha we haven't gone anywhere!
@@KeyWestWaterman Haha, rub it in...
Nice bro 👍🏾
Thank you!
Awesome catch love seeing them big flags👍💪🏻
me too!
Came here from bluegabe. Subbed!
Love it! Welcome and thanks so much!
Just watched you and Blue Gabe, damn those are some huge Flags!
Haha right! Monsters!
Those are some serious yellowtails.
It is interesting about the Porgy / Yellowtail taste test
We made ceviche from yellow tail last summer out of yellowtail and mangrove snappers we caught on a party boat, it was great.
In late February we went out on Miss Islmorada and caught Porgies, we made ceviche from them and we thought it was very similar to the ceviche made from snappers.
they def were! and I can always go for some ceviche!
Next time you have some snapper or porgie try making a Sweet and sour snapper. Simple but super tasty...fillet cut intod chunks, breaded, deep fried and tossed in your favorite sweet and sour sauce then place in a pot with all sauce and some onions for about 5 to 7 minutes or until fish is tender
will have to give it a try! thanks so much!
Omg those are some gorgeous yellow tails
They def were!
one of the best channel i know
happy to hear that!
My fav way to catch flags! Nice job! (Although i cut skin off bonita meat so it doesn’t foul hook, lose fish). Damn i miss catching them! 😎🌴🍹
its a blast! thanks for watching!
Nice’s yellow tail Dude !
Thank you sir!
Man I love this channel. I love all types of fishing and hunting because there are NO or very very few people!
I used to be a people person, but people screwed it up for me!
Haha i hear that! Not much i love more than being out there alone!
Dear Cap. Have you try por porgy ceviche Is great …. Good catch 🎉
I sure have
Hey Aaron , if you use those jig heads often w chunk / live bait, why don't you have your buddy do you up a few on a circle hook. I realize the jig heads are normally always on J hooks but just thinking....
typically we aren't hooking undersized yellowtails so never have needed to go that route
Excellent video, brother. Just got turned onto your channel by Blue Gabe. I will definitely continue to follow.
love to hear it! and welcome! thanks so much for the follow!
10/5/23 question: when you’re anchored like that, what type of anchor are you using and can you discuss the reason a particular anchor is better in certain situations? Claw vs Danforth vs Grapnel ? Love the videos
trying to put together an anchoring video!
Aaron what a great day you had with them Flags. I wish I was there to give you a hand😂. Great video as always. Miami fishing Pipo
It was a blast!!! Thanks for watching!
@@KeyWestWaterman My pleasure, next time I go down to key west, will pay you a visit. We have a trip coming up to go to Pulley ridge. I loved the mangrove catching from the back of your house too. So convenient 👍👍. Your dog is so good too
Those are some monster yellowtails. Great job on the video 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
Man bro those were some steamer yellow tails. Need to head and debonair and stuff one of those bad boys. Another killer video brother. Keep up the good work
they sure were! thanks for watching!
Glad Will said at the end he catches 12 inch yellowtail like the rest of us 😂
😂😂😂
Wow that looks like you are having a very rough ride that is a beautiful Yellow Tail though
haha was a little bumpy!
👍🏼 nice Yellowtail
Thank you!

Великолепный желтохвост! 👍
thanks for watching!
@@KeyWestWaterman Thank you, captain, for your work for us!
Living the life...
im trying!
Smashed a bunch of giant porgy in marathon last Dec have never eaten them but my freezer is still full and ill never let another go !
haha love it!
What exactly did you have in your chum mixture. It was a great video. I look forward to seeing more.
Just sand and chum
Where i from people find the yellowtail are "stiff" or firm you all say!! But porgie is really good just a shy fish to get a shot on them.
yea they are almost like mutton! very shy!
I would like to “accidentally” catch some Yellowtails like that! Dang it man, those were BEAST’S!!!
haha right!
I will say this, larger yellowtail are definitely firmer than the smaller ones, I think thats where their bad rap comes from ia people filleting up the barely keeps. Alot of people like to cook the smaller ones whole, personally I like to make ceviche with them, dicing up the smaller fillets or cutting them into perfect little strips/ nuggets for tacos.
can you do a video with Rob, from Deer Meat For Dinner. That would be awesome 🍿🍿
we talked a few times! he's a busy fella hard to line up
@@KeyWestWaterman Yeah, and nows hes on that road trip to alaska. Maybe someday🤞
Who makes the mesh tackle bags hanging from the T top? I think those would be a good addition to my boat. Thanks again Aaron love your content.
I can't remember the name to be honest, maybe tackle webs? give it a google search
People sleep on porgeys- I agree that they are super underrated and one of my favorites.
They do!
Nice catch, biggest yellow tail I’ve ever seen, and yes porgy is better tasting, for me it’s not even close
Some of the biggest I’ve seen!
@@KeyWestWaterman that’s wild
Yellowtail is sooo much more expensive at about $18/lb versus Porgy at $4/lb here in NYC..
Wild!
I just want to give some posetive critisism if you can say so. I like these videos more than just raw fishing. fishing+ccc=
thanks so much! always appreciate feedback!
You had an awesome day. I noticed your watch in your videos, is it practical for the boat life? what watch is that? Sorry if I get too personal.
its a dive watch. for freediving only. suunto d4f
Very good vdo
thanks for watching!
Hey man huge fan!
I’m a charter captain down in Sabine pass tx, it’s a border town between Texas and Louisiana.
My question is who makes your shirts for your business?
love to hear it! and they are sport tek shirts. a local place prints on them for me
The porgies we have here in the north are kinda soft also and I really only like them if they are huge, (3-4) pounders. If they aren’t over 15-16 inches I’m not a big fan, I’d take Black Sea bass over them any day.
I like them either way, use them in soup alot. def a very soft fish.
I am a big fan of porgies also.i Told the capt. On the isladmorada. Princess id be really happy to catch just 3 or 4 porgies insted of yellowtail n notice he looked at me funny. I slammed the porgies that day! Must of caught at least 7 or 8 good sized porgies one after another an no yellowtail from the port side instead of fighting for yellowtail on the stern with all stern hogs. I think he understood me.👍
haha love it! love me some porgies!
I still gotta spear me a yellowtail! So hard to get them close! Maybe Ill see you out on May 1st ;)
they are tough! and ill be out there!
Maybe the difference was that being an older yellowtail VS a younger porgy?
Yea hard to get a fair comparison. I feel like small yellowtails are much softer.
Nice 'tails
Very nice!
Yup....someday.....Bob Marley's,"Everything's gonna' be alright"......playing, fish on the grill, getting hit with lime juice.....someplace without snow.......
haha love it!
You should do a hunting video with bluegabe
we plan on it!
@@KeyWestWaterman can’t wait to see you out of your confront zone. will be an awesome video.
Cut the yellowtail from the back clean and stuff that bad boy (dont open the belly its necessary).Season it properly with a dry rub then butter up ad stuffing mixture of okra thyme garlic carrots calaloo, my mixture is a 🇯🇲 style 🤤🤤🤤 wrap in foil make it leak proof if possible, put that on the grill n I know u def gonna change your life. Yellowtails are deeeelicious imo.❤💛💚🙏🏽💚💛❤
man that sounds amazing gotta give it a try!
Yeeeeeeeeeewww yeeeeeeeeeewww!
haha thanks for watching!
Love the flags!!!!
haha right!
