HI EVERYONE! MY VIRTUAL CLASSES ARE NOW LIVE! HEAD OVER TO MY IG BIO TO SIGN UP! I HOPE YOU ALL ARE READY TO EMBARK ON THIS JOURNEY TOGETHER AND LEARN! I CANNOT WAIT TO VIRTUALLY MEET YOU GUYS!
I’m a nurse of 20 plus years, I went to esthetics school and I don’t regret it. It was definitely worth it. Thanks ladies for the information it was very informative.
for anyone wondering! sometimes medical esthetician can get confused with master esthetician, in some states, master esthetician can perform laser, microdermabrasion and do deeper skin treatments but it is in select states and requires certification! aside from that, most states esthetician’s are just limited to the epidermis of the skin, regardless of if you’re in a clinic or spa!
@@justineangelobaranda1379 no the nuclex is the boards exam that nursing students take to become registered nurses. However I do recommend that you do research on what your state laws and requirements are. I hope this helps:)
I’m currently a licensed medical aesthetician in nursing school to become an aesthetic nurse. I’m looking forward to being able to do both of what you ladies do!
@@hangten0346 i personally believe so but it truly depends on the place. Becoming an esthetician only takes 6 months at most schools but as an RN you’ll more than likely get hired somewhere that is willing to teach you
@@VeganismIsDeath-cz9mn I’m a medical assistant and an aesthetician. But a regular esthetician can be considered a medical aesthetician if they are working more in the medical field than the beauty industry. But yes I consider myself a full blown medical aesthetician bc I can draw blood amongst other things that a normal esthetician can not do.
This was really great. I’ve been teetering in which to pursue. I have a cosmetology license and have been thinking about going to nursing school. Thanks so much!
janet, can you do a day in the life of an aesthetic nurse! showing what you do in the med spa and what do in a day for your social media’s !! 💞 i would love to follow in your footsteps but i’m not sure what an average day would be like
Thanks so much!! I have an RN start date for Jan 2022, currently an LPN but I struggle so much with RN school or esthetician course. As an RN my goal is to become a certified nurse injector however, I would love to do peels, microdermabrasion tx, facials and waxing. Thanks for this video!
Same here I want to be an injector but I also want to do the facials, peels, laser, etc. I’m finishing my prereqs and hopefully starting nursing school in 2023 spring
Hi! How are you?? I love this informative video. I was about to throw this dream in the trash, but like you said “follow your heart”. I’ve had dreams and now I’m praying for more confirmation before taking the next stop. Esthetician school cost 10k and I have two babies, a toddler and preschooler. I also am involved in dance/drama at church. I want this to be my “career/work” I’m just hoping I can balance all of it and still be there for my extended family. Btw, both of y’all’s skin looks amazing in this video!! Also, your communication skills are A1. I was engaged and wanted to hear you talk the whole time. Thank you! How do you balance your life without being stressed out? Manage the home? Can I manage this career and be a stay at home mom? Any mommas out there doing it? We plan on homeschooling our kids, but are considering private schools.
@nursejanet can you PLEASE do a video on how you prefer to dilute your neurotoxins and tips for dilution equivalency between different products. Botox, dysport, xeomin ect. PLEASE❤️ I’m a RN & LE btw :)
Hiii :) 1:1 pretty much always! I have a lip training virtual class coming up in a month or so! if you are an RN and are interested, you can subscribe to my email list on my website OR keep an eye out on my IG for the class! There will be a Q&A portion afterwards for questions like this.
Love this video! So informative! I’m a new RN in an ICU, and have a serious passion for skincare and wellness. Would you say having both your RN license and esthetician license would be beneficial? Im thinking about going back to school for aesthetics. Tysm :)
Hi Janet! loved the video so informative. question, can I just get my associates degree in nursing? or does it need to be a bachelors? lastly is it hard to get a job fresh out of nursing school in the aesthetic field?
what if i want to be an aesthetic nurse that focuses on microneedling, laser facials, consults, product recommendations, and deeper peels in CA...because I know estheticians in CA are limited. skincare focused aesthetic nurse
I am a LVN and intrested in this field, I am currently finishing my pre reqs for nursing school within a semester. The waiting list to get into California community colleges programs are a wait 1-2 years....I don't want to go the private route for my ADN because of expenses. Would you recommend for me during that year to complete a esthetician course since its about 6-7 months? having the experience plus my LVN experience....coming out of my ADN will make me more marketable? suggestions welcomed.
I've written a brief pros and cons list about both Esthetician and Nurse aesthetician work. Ultimately, I would work my butt off to do something I enjoy and so far I'm still kind of stumped because I'm interested in both fields of work. Is it possible to be an Esthetician AND Nurse Aesthetician to do both facials and microneedling under one spa or is that too unrealistic?
This is where I'm at, I've been an RN for almost 3 years, worked med Surg, and then L&D and I'm now on a contract job dealing with covid cases for a school district, I think I would much prefer the work as an esthetician over an aesthetics nurse, but the schooling alone is more expensive then it was for me to get my RN, however working as a bedside nurse I don't think I will ever go back to, and I've been looking for dermatologist office positions but they all want you to have experience in my area or I'd be taking a $10/hr pay cut 🙃🙃🙃🙃
Thank you for this video ! I’m really interested in becoming an aesthetic nurse Im finishing my last quarter of nursing school and I’m a licensed barber for 10 years I was wondering what I can do with both of my licenses to get into aesthetics or plastic surgery
I’m so glad you did this video!! I haven’t watched the video yet but I want to do facials and medical treatments like laser, microdermabrasion. I don’t know if I have to be a nurse for that or an esthetician. I’m assuming nurses can do more. I’m having a hard time finding a nursing school that will accept me because they require prereqs of a c or better and I did bad in a few classes.
If I want to do things like microneedling and laser hair removal, is becoming an esthetician and getting laser trained enough in most states? Or would I still need to become a nurse or have more medial training? I find thing like Botox and filler interesting, but I do prefer the more natural treatments that don't involve injections.

No such thing as "medical aesthtician" licence, unless you mean "master esthetician licence".

Did you go for it girl
For a nurse who wants to switch career btw medical aesthetics vs estheticians which one will be more ideal for me to invest in

Hi ladies. Is it normal to get hired as nurse aesthetician but employer does not offer malpractice insurance but says I should find it on my own
