Nice job 👍 Saludo desde 🇵🇷
Having watched so much 8Y the past 2 years and finally taking delivery of mine last week. All you need is the sports exhaust and ASR valve controller. It’s louder than this 😂
I've watched multiple RS sport exhaust and milltek race exhausts before and after videos. No way is the RS sports exhaust louder. Even in this video I can tell the Milltek is louder, not by much which is the dissapointing part because you spend £2k and it's only a little bit better.
I have a RS sports exahust and drive mine in dynamic all the time where the exhaust valves are open and its deffo not louder.
@@James-ns6jm I’m afraid I disagree from my continued experience. The ASR valve on just efficiency and comfort mode makes my car have pops and bangs. Never mind dynamic and performance modes. This MT exhaust can’t replicate that. Like you say, you’ve not experienced the ASR module which is a game changer for price to noise ratio. I’ve also seen MT exhaust and ASR module combined which still can’t produce the louder burbles, farts or even produce any pops and bangs. IMO the sports exhaust solely or combined with ASR still is louder. Also, having a good microphone on a video or closer to the car doesn’t negate the fact of what the car sounds like in person. 2 different things and once you put them side by side, you’ll appreciate the contrast.
PS: we’ve been over this in the Audi sport forums multiple times that just because you have no ASR and open valves in dynamic, it doesn’t correlate to the ASR module valve opening. Dynamic in ASR and dynamic in no-ASR produce 2 different sounds.
@@gogoakh5946 What? This makes zero sense, you have the ASR module which overides the car functionality of opening the exhaust valves. Doesn't matter, when both our cars have the same RS Sports exhaust and valves open they will sound the exact same regadless if you have the module which lets you manually open them. Not sure why you're trying to make out that it makes a massive difference.
The Milltek Race is literally straight through from the OPF when valves are open which the RS Sports exahust is not, it has a resonator and then still goes through the rear silencer. So how can you still say that your exahust is louder? I have literally witnessed with my own ears the milltek is actually louder. Plus you can just put a ASR module with the milltek and have the valves open all the time too.
@@James-ns6jm All theoretical. No pops and bangs as I’ve alluded to. No point continuing a conversation with a delinquent. Enjoy your quiet sounds 😂😅
@@gogoakh5946 It's not theoritical when i have heard it with my own ears, watched videos and can quite clearly hear the milltek is louder and then there is the FACT that the RS exhaust comes with two resonators after the OPFs and the pipes are smaller and have more bends and dints in the pipework and these then feed into the back box.
The Milltek has much wider pipes less bends takes out the two resonators and when the valves are open is straight piped from the OPF.
You understand how exhausts work right? resonators and silencers? There is no way the RS is louder than the milltek, you're delusional. 🤡
CZcams needs more videos on the 8Y RS3
We will be doing more for sure!
What happened to you stocking Infinits OPF delete? Was there a problem with it?
I’ve got the race system on mine and it’s considerably louder than the Audi sports exhaust, don’t listen to all the other comments they’ve obviously only heard it on videos which never does them justice.
Damn right… this is my whip and it’s definitely much louder than stock when accelerating…
do you have some sound videos.i m planing to buy milltek race
Mate I can tell in this video that the Milltek Race exhaust is louder and thats with knowing that video doesn't do justice.
swapping from a RS Sports to Milltek Race this weekend.
I watched a video where the guy says the bes exhaust mod for sound is an OPF delete and CAT removal which he says sounds better than any after market blower and is cheaper. anyone care to comment and give your opionions?
i pick up mine next week and I really dont like how tall it sits, like a normal A series (i know its lower but still) I have the vorsproung model which has the dynamic shocks i think, so will lowering it make it handle in a negative way or is it all happy days? and whats the best springs? do i ust normal springs or adjustable or any others you think would work better?
Had mine 7 months from new, got a carbon sportback with RS pack. Vorsprung doesn't look as good on the sportback and the round steering wheel that has no place in an RS car. Mine just about manages not to bottom out going down ramps in the multi storey in town. Any lower and it would be an issue for a daily. Leave as standard, it looks fine and insurance is expensive as it is without modifying the car. Leave that for the next owner when out of warranty.
what color is that?! looks awesome
its daytona grey
Honestly I think Milltech Exhaust system is just wasting your money, there's literally not much of a difference... I think Akrapovic is sounds a bit better🤔, just my 2 cents
Sadly a little more than 2 cents more than the Miltek 😂 but, agree, Miltek not really worth it!
I have the Milltek race exhaust and it makes a huge difference.

@@anthonydugan8691 Provide us with a video, we'll compare... But for now I disagree
@@karabolent9005 US spec cars the exhaust system is 100% worth it, mine was much louder than stock after the system was installed. I’d say for the Euro spec with the OPF I’d probably pass.
Do the lowering springs affect the Audi suspension?
Would say it improves the ride, it is definitely stiffer but more precise
Is it possible to remove the soft limiter via programming?
Not by programming in the sense of using VCDS or OBD11, it will only be possible when the ECUs are unlocked. Its the same with the 8V
Does the tyres rub on the rear due to the spacers when you go over bumps etc
People on forums reporting issues when spacers added. You need to remove the plastic trim from the rear arches.
What are the implications for the insurance?
It is worth letting your insurer know if you modify your car any way!
Need an OPF delete otherwise, no point getting an exhaust. Sounds are still muffled too much
We do love the Milltek, it it hard to put across on video, we also have a few more options arriving this quarter of the year!
need an r44 in Australia :(
Maybe one day.... But we do ship to Australia
Will the tyres rub on the arches being that low?
Hey! Nope you can run them without noise. There is a small trim you can remove from the rear to prevent any noise. Let us know if you need any help 🙌🏼
Should’ve gone for an OPF delete, doesn’t sound much different than stock
facts
Videos don’t do I justice, it’s much louder than the Audi sports exhaust in person.
@@Dgc1504 So you keep saying. I've heard it in the flesh, hardly 'much' louder and as I have found with my new RS3, the exhaust sound improves as you put the miles on. Done 3k in mine and it's now louder than when I got it, my TTRS with OPF was the same. The ONLY exhaust I have heard that's decent is the Akrapovikc, but that's over five grand.
yOu DoNt HaVe ThEsE iN tHe Us 🥴
These still sound RUBBISH sadly, 8V fl pre OPF all day
US Spec>
Looks too soft, dated interior, flawed driving position and dynamically poor compared to 8Y. You can keep the 8V, it wasn't very good at all, I owned one. Now got new RS3, in another league to previous gen.
Milltek is junk!
