Eyelid Tape for Monolids with Uneven and Droopy Eyelids

- Over the years, my left eyelid has gotten more droopy and uneven. I've been using eyelid tape to help lift my lashes and skin up, and it's been working well. The only downfall is that the tape does not last too long on my eyes with it being oily or getting watery. Just recently, I tried using glue and the eyelid tape together and realized how well it held up. Usually I only apply the tape to my left eye, but occasionally I will apply it to my right eye to match my left eye depending on how much bigger my right eye looks. I wanted to show you guys how I put the tape and glue on, and I hope that this helps those who have the same problems as I do. :)

I'll show you guys how I put on eyelid tape to help lift my uneven, droopy eye. Let me know if you've tried this or tips on what you do to help with this problem. :)

hey angela! at 2:43, when you wipe your right eye, you get a pretty big eyelid fold! try to put the tape exactly where that fold is! that will definitely help to lift your eyelids, and make your eyes appear brighter!

Hello, I have one monolid and one tapered double eyelid. Will tape or glue make my eyes either two even monolids or two even tapered double eyelids? And can both of those options become a permanent fix with extensive use?
Hello, I just wanted to ask you whether if you had any self hatred for your eyes, and if yes how did you overcome it? Im 17 this year and this is my biggest insecurity. I have thick uneven monolids so I’ve been putting on eyelid tape everyday for the last 2 years. I for sure know that it’s so bad for my eyelids and it’ll make it even more droopy as time goes on but i just can’t stop because i just feel too ugly to even go out when I’m not wearing the tape. I want to stop so desperately but I just can’t because I feel ashamed to show others my real self. Also I wanted to ask you if you ever considered about getting plastic surgery to get double eyelid? Thank you!

I don’t know if you’ll answer this because I’m replying two years late but I totally understand you. I have a double lid on one eyes and a triple lid on the other that somehow turns into a mono lid I guess you can say I have hooded mono lids. It’s really weird. I really actually like mono lid eyes and I don’t want to get rid of it. I just want my eye lids to be even though and have been quite an insecurity of mines too. I have been thinking about surgery but I don’t know if I can keep them mono lids because I don’t want double eye lids. As weird as that sounds I’ve learn to embrace my eyes and I also don’t wear makeup. I really hope your not too insecure now. I hope you sorted everything out and if you do go to plastic surgery I wish you all the luck.

Starting to develop excess skin on my eyelid due to aging and getting lines because of it. I wonder if Blepharoplasty can be use to remove excess skin instead of getting double eyelids?
For all of you guys asking if it's a health condition, don't worry because 99% sure it's normal. I know countless other Korean people (including me) with hooded eyelids. Some of them droop, others do not (I happen to not have a droop). It's just a matter of genes and culture because some Koreans have a double eyelid while some do not. I actually am starting to form a double eyelid on my left eye because of my dad. His eyes started to develop a double eyelid during puberty. sometimes I wake up with a double eyelid on the other eye because I slept on it weird lol.
i was shocked to hear my 80 y.o. dad got eyelid-lift surgery on the recommendation of his doctor and Medicare covered it. apparently his eyelids were drooping so much that it affected his vision? it sounded nuts, but apparently the medical industry does acknowledge this as an issue. i think people should avoid surgery at any cost but perhaps you souls see an eye doctor and discuss what's been happening. thanks for showing us this eye tape.
Oh wow, he got surgery at that age? I've had a couple optometrists tell me about getting surgery as well, but I feel like it hasn't gotten to that point yet for me.
+AngelaMinjiKim Believe me, I thought his eye doctors were crazy, but apparently it's a real "thing" with the elderly. He said he was having trouble seeing the golf ball when it was high in the sky, LOL! (Can you say korean man?!) I still say avoid surgery if you can.
+jcjccmz Of course. That's what I've been doing. When I was a teen, my optometrist told me about considering surgery for my left eye bc of my lashes. I said no. Then couple years ago, I had another one tell me that I should consider it again bc my eye was covering my pupil a bit and it looked like it was gonna get droopy when I got older. I didn't believe them, but now I do see what they were talking about. I've come to love my monolids and the thought of surgery scares me. So instead of surgery, that is why I've been using the tape.
Are you still using them now? Did it caused your eye to sag more?? I only use them for taking photos so that my eyes would look even and not weird. I'm afraid to use them on a daily basis because they say it caused their eyes to sag even more :(( help😅

AHAHAHAHAHA me too to everything in this video...one eye droops more than the other but if I run my finger along the droopy eye, I suddenly get super prominent double eyelids but then because my upper eyelid is so chubby it slips back to it's original position. I never really noticed that one of my eyelids drooped more than the other until I took a picture of myself and noticed my eyes were uneven. Unfortunately my eyelids are so incredibly chubby that it completely swallows up my eyelid tape so that you can't even tell I tried putting tape on- much less a difference in my eye shape. 😂 I cant try eyeliner or anything...

I hope it's not a health issue, Angela. You know Myasthenia Gravis? One of it's clinical manifestation is droopy eyelid when the patient got tired, it will be getting better when they rest for a while. but will be reoccuring every time they got tired.

Lily Seo yes it is because the tape is constantly pulling your skin eventually causing your skin to stretch. This happened to me so I’ve switched to fibre lace eyelid tape
I wear non prescription contact lenses to not feel my eyelashes poking my eyeball. I have tried using tape but it didn't help.
I know what you mean. I tried getting fitted for contacts a while back and after several visits I gave up. The weight of my lids kept pushing my contacts down and was rubbing my eyes so my vision was blurry.

Why do people always leave these kind of comments under Asian make-up videos?? Asian girls can do whatever they want with their own faces. Hardly anyone says anything when *non*-Asian girls change their lip size or make their eyes look bigger but when Asian girls do it, people get all overbearing and are like "but Asians are so pretty, don't change anything about yourself!"

The issue is that it comes off as unnecessarily condescending. And I can understand why people get a bit pissed
