Sorry, we do not have a manual transmission Jeep JT as part of the Z Automotive fleet. Here is the process to calibrate for that vehicle, www.zautomotive.com/zpu/instructions/jlm6relearn.pdf
Can you change mutiple items before performing the full reboot, sleep cycles and test drive? For example can i change tire size, gear ratio, and tpms and then do the reboot, sleeps, and test drive? Or do I have to change tire size, perform reboot, sleeps, and test drive and then repeat for the other changes i need to make?
I have factory 4.88 gears. Do I need to change that in the Tazer Lite? Or will the factory settings overrule. I just upgraded my tire size. Not sure if I have to let the tazer know the gear size though
I recalibrate the adas system. I use the security gateway to gain access when changing the windshield. When disconnecting this will it reset my tire size?
These are all the steps to calibrate the speedometer. If after the drive cycle you see no change, please email our customer support for assistance- support@zautotech.com
I have tires and rims coming for my 2020 JL. These are the largest tires that can be used without a lift. I don't have a nav screen like shown here. Is the process still the same?
My brother has a 2020 Jeep Rubicon Gladiator with 40s. Will this work on it? If not, do you have any recommendations for fixing this issue with his Jeep. Thank you for your time.
I installed the tazer today and set the tire size. do I unmarry it and the settings stay in the Jeep ? I have 2 more services at the dealer and them I'll probably leave it in.
@@GenX_Dave that part of the video was a reminder to have them at the road tire pressure… again, if someone had their tires very low and then measures the height, it would not be the same height as a tire with proper road tire pressure
Opening and closing the door makes it go to sleep faster, so if the doors are removed you would just have to wait longer. Wait until the screen and dash is fully off
@@zautomotive I see the tab, but I can't press the tab and pull the connector out at the same time. I probably need to remove the kick panel, like shown in this video, to get to the connectors easier and have more room. My question is how did you remove the kick panel? In the video you showed how you put the panel back, but not how it was removed.
@@Mark-zq2iw I see. The kick panel has little tabs on the back, essentially just takes even brute force to pull it off or can pry it off tab by tab with a plastic pry bar. I can send you a picture of what the back of the kick panel looks like if you send me an email at nsilvia@zautomotive.com
Love my tazer. Hate to be that guy, but wouldn't we want to measure from ground to center hub and double the result? The bottom half of the tire is compressed under load while the top is not. The distance from hub center determines number of revolutions at a given absolute speed. Not taking this into account on the upper half of the tire ignores the load compression and over states tire size. Bottom half radius is the constant...Top half radius never happens. Also, for me, once I got a decent measurement I used a GPS enabled speedo app on my phone to check the tire size change in motion. After a couple adjustments, I got the onboard speedo and the app to agree exactly!
also, this video leaves out waiting 60 seconds after the dash goes dark…according to the directions online, you are supposed to wait 60 seconds after the dash goes dark. Why does he not do that. If you guys are going to make support material for your customer base, at least make sure the information is consistent and accurate
Yes, the manual says 60 seconds after the screen goes dark and that is a good habit to get into to solidify settings. Although generally once the screen goes dark, the vehicle is in a sleep state. If you’re unsatisfied with the video material, feel free to just stick with the written manual
@@Haro75410 no updates have not stopped if that’s what you’re implying. Tire size, your manufacturer actually lists it accurately on their website. My Falken Wildpeak 35's are actually 34.5.
I just bought a 2021 Jeep with the mini on it and I had no clue what it was. Thank you for this and all the other videos!

@@deeprai3913 you can remove the Tazer and the speedometer calibration will remain
after setting for tire size do I remove the tazer JL lite ?
You can, yes. If you’d like to utilize the live feature settings though, it would need to remain plugged in
Will the TaZer mini ever see an app where we can make changes from there as opposed to making changes on the dash of the vehicle?
maybe

Yes do the one full reboot, sleep cycles, and drive cycle when you’re done adjusting all your settings
@@zautomotive awesome! That is definitely easier and less time consuming than after every change. I appreciate the reply.

If the dealer already flashed it for the new gears then you don’t have to set it in the Tazer menu
Once I recalibrate the speedometer can i take it off or i have to leave it on
Can remove it
I recalibrate the adas system. I use the security gateway to gain access when changing the windshield. When disconnecting this will it reset my tire size?
You can disconnect the TaZer after recalibration of the tires and it will hold
Will this calibrate your speed once you do the tire size??! We just purchased and done the steps but my speed is still off

This is the EVIC screen above the steering wheel not the navigation/radio
Why does my Tazer Mini always blink Red ?
To show its sending a signal
does this work on a gladiator sport model?
Yes
Will this calibration help with MPG?
It’s the tire size that determines the MPG. Larger tire size, worse MPG
Can you kill the speed limiter on the wrangler 392?
No
If I leave the Tazer installed when I bring the Jeep into the Dealer for just oil change and tire rotation will they void warranty?

I would remove it. As it might vanish mysteriously. No need to give someone an opportunity to steal it.

The settings will revert back to the default settings once unmarried, so you'll have to reset the tire size after getting back from the dealer
@@zautomotive Ok thanks
wth do the tpms sensors have to do with calibrating the speedometer?
If your tires are incredibly low on air, they won’t be the same height as a tire that is correctly filled up with air. Common sense
