That last part went from Race To The Sea to Bismarck level of legpounding! This is hands down my favorite song from the album, such a majestic song! Makes me feel patriotic for Belgium, even though I'm from Finland. Sabaton always does that.

A little advice, if you listen to Sarajevo Versailles is the sequel, they're played similar and represent the begining and ending, however they're very different from other Sabaton songs, dreadnaught is epic as hell as well

This video is insanely good! Music is fantastic! I just heard/saw "The Unkillable Soldier". And before that, "Christmas Truce". Damn!!!

Honestly? I didn't know what to expect bc while I knew the event, I didn't know how a song about Belgium flooding to keep the Germans from taking the northernmost tip while also slowing them down enough for the British and French to pull up and ready themselves for the Meuse offensive. With all candor I can say that I cried when I heard this song bc it's both this triumph, but one with this undercurrent of sorrow. It has such defiance and fierceness, but one that is soooo bittersweet. It also just made me so PROUD of little Belgium. And proud of the their "Soldier King" Albert I. The music is like the dam busting open and the chorus like the flow of a raging river. The drums really also made me think of the pounding of water against rock as well. So musically they captured the event well with such a flood of musicality while also injecting it with those feelings of defiance and heartbreak at losing their country. It also really made me think about a certain event in eastern Europe right now. And that tenacity and pluck.
P.S. I can't be sure but it looks like they stuck Pär on a box because everyone else is waist deep in the water while it only comes up to his knees.

I 100% with you, the song really did the story justice! And yes Par is most definitely standing on a platform of some sort lol.

Pår is so short, if they hadn't put him on some kind of platform he would have drown 😂

Every song in the album sounds completely different EXCEPT first song and last song that are same song with different lyrics and tone. Its pretty genius to name first song Sarajevo and last song Versailles and make them sad and happy.

Great review! I'm going to listen to the album to see what it's like. I'd not listened to Sabaton before your reactions. Thanks.
