This is their last concert before Trish died. Goosebumps.
One of the best bands ever
Damn shame we never got to hear much more of this interesting turn Broadcast took in their last live shows. Still tied to their psych-poppy roots, but here they were transcending into something else even more hypnotic and spacey.
Breaks my heart. Total hauntology.
@@MrJambot yes I'm more taken by them - by her - all the time. Just got into them this year - after hearing them on Marfa public radio ( west Texas ) last year. Yes she's singing in some other haunting way here. More ''mature" sounding, or something, her voice a little lower - bigger sounding. Though she always sounded perfect. The early melodies with a sort of innocent - girl-like voice yet otherworldly. Here in some songs she almost has that Nico singing style - just with her own voice - im hearing Black Cat now - I like hearing the differences in these and earlier sounds.... I like - love - hearing EVERY thing BROADCAST AND every thing even remotely related - from vanishing twin and sound carriers to Italian film soundtrack music to 60s electronic pop and you know the rest- thanks for sharing!
i love their sounds....so hypnotizing.. emotionally hypnotizing.. giving me memories that ive never had
Darkness... from sea... to sky...
A voice repeats alone...
Hopefully everyone who comes here to listen to this magic also knows that a good recording also exists of the SECOND to last Broadcast show, and it is way different from this because it's a full gig rather than a truncated festival appearance. They are both amazing and heartbreaking documents of what James and Trish were capable of.
