Sonic Frontiers if Switch didn't exist:
I'm convinced people don't have eyes bro Metroid Prime Remaster looks amazing and it's a Switch exclusive. Frontiers looks the way that it does because there were way less people working on the game then you would expect of a big budget AAA game. The difference between versions is not that noticeable at a glance

@@FuzHammerTrue, but at the same time, Metroid Prime Remastered is a very high effort remaster, (almost as if it were a remake) of a 2002 game which makes it look stunning on Switch. Generations wasn't a AAA game but it's visuals still look modern for a game that came out years back. Frontiers being marketed as the next mainline game should've atleast followed in the footsteps of Generations/Unleashed in terms of graphics
@@FuzHammer Notice how the only good looking games on that system are by Nintendo? They know the hardware inside out and can work around it. Third party devs are cooked on that system.

It felt this good on my first playthrough. Taking off the rose tinted glasses I can still appreciate the things Frontiers did even though the execution was flawed in many places. It's a game I'll cherish forever for sure.

I like this part. Covering The End's whole body with fog gives that sense of sinister vibe. Like it's hiding its menacing appearance.
I will always say this, Sonic was always an anime character. I stand by that. The tone and atmosphere from this mod makes Sonic like a shounen character.
Hopefully, Sonic Team takes notes of these for the next game. Just imagine. Aside from that, cool video.

I agree with the tone and vibe part and I think some adjustments in lighting or stylization would add to the game’s presentation. However this is too dark. Parts of the game would be too hard to see when the game enters the night cycle.

It’s actually insane how these mods make the game look when you compare it to the base game, the mods make this look ridiculously good

It's both a crying shame and completely understandable they had to drop the beta shaders. It looks significantly better than when we ended up with, but even with the Switch out of the picture the footage experiences slowdown. The shaders were too _good_ for their own good, and the processing couldn't keep up with it (And, admittedly, the darkness causes a bit of visibility issues)

That one is a restoration mod for a QTE that got cut from Supreme.

The fog looks so god damn good for the END fight.
There's a mod that fixes the broken subsurface scattering (sonic's skin randomly glowing)

The lighting is SUBSTANTIALLY better.
I just don’t like how much fog there is; you can barely see what’s going on at some points.
There may be a happy medium when it comes to the fog, but as it stands; too much fog IMO.

yea the switch definetly put this games graphics and stuff in the grave. they had to completely scrap most of their plans graphics and performance wise because of the switch on its own

It’s a code for Supreme Unused QTE so in HedgeModManager under codes and under enemy there will be code called Restore Supreme Unused QTE
