    Nice one, I bought this tent based on your review thanks. Also, that is the problem with Kings, anytime you want a warranty claim or refund, you will eventually get it but you have to push and escalate it. Eg: I bought a battery box, took it home and realised it wouldn't fit my battery, so I took it back for a refund. It took 3 months for that refund to come back to me.

    Starting to have minor issues with mine. The Velcro that holds the tent down when folded up have ripped off the nylons straps. Like it’s gone rotten at the edges and ripped out of the stitching. My straps that go over the cover have also faded & the Velcro doesn’t stick too well anymore. I have a few more tiny spots where the LST has come off. And agree the entry door is too small my head gets stuck up the top too, probably not an issue for a shorter person, I’m 175cm tall. But keeping in mind this tent gets used almost everyday, set up in afternoon and packed up next morning & the NQ sun is a lot stronger then down south, it’s holding up damn pretty well. And you love all the things I do. The big windows are awesome!

    Since I started researching RTT's I found your channel and your reviews and info are invaluable. In your opinion is it better to go with an RTT that can house 2 adults and two kids or would it be better to go a RTT for 2 kids and install an annex for the adults. Cost is not the issue, i'm focused more on quality, durability and comfort. Cheers

    • @Campingdownunder
      @Campingdownunder  Před 2 lety

      Depending on your vehicle if you can fit a wider rooftop tent on it. But then you are also constantly carrying more weight. Where as the annex weighs hardly anything & sets up in minutes. Although that does require extra bedding & another blow up mattress. So it's really a personal choice and what you can fit on your car

    Hi Paul. Good to hear you are mostly happy with this RTT. Do you think you will ever buy the annex that fits underneath.? I know you have the one for the Kings RTT, and not very happy with it because it leaked when it rained, especially when it was gathered at the bottom. Do you think that's a problem with all RTT annex's, or just the Kings one??

      Unfortunately my kids are getting older now and don't want to come camping very often now so I have no need for the bottom annex. Hey we've been looking at RTT for a bit now and you had us sold on the 23 zero until we went into the camping store today.
    We were comparing it with the Darche and the salesman told us that the LST layer tends to peal off if it gets wet when packed up wet or damp. Considering we will be on the move early in the morning to get to the next campsite regularly we're worried about the condensation not drying out properly. Have you had any issues with this. Or can you ease our concerns. Cheers Mark.

    • @Campingdownunder
      @Campingdownunder  Před 2 lety +1

      I've never had any issues with the lst yet. Mines showing no signs of peeling. Although I tend to wait a few hours before packing up if it's rained or if we have condensation we just run over the inside of the rooftop tent with a towel so it doesn't wet our bedding once folded up. It only takes a minute to dry it with a towel

    How'd you mount the 23zero Onto your canopy

      I've got a steel canopy so I drilled it directly through the roof and braced it around the supports. I also siliconed around every hole to stop water from getting in

    Sadly probably the only reason you got a refund from the supercentre is because of your youtube influence, so many other people are stuffed around and made to wait months for refunds, they are a joke of a business and if the do get their act together they are already tainted by their previous bad reputation and drop in quality of many of their products.

    • @Campingdownunder
      @Campingdownunder  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes I understand that's probably the case. But when someone high up from 4wdsupacentre seen the way I was treated she was horrified by how I was treated. I had to wait 2 years & if I didn't make the previous video explaining the issues I most likely never would have got the result I was after. I've kept in contact with this employee since then and have found there are people there who do try to do the right thing but unfortunately there are a few people that don't care about customer satisfaction

      When someone makes a rooftop tent with something similar to LST in this price range then people may buy it. One thing I've noticed since posting videos on CZcams. Everyone complains if I do a review on something not made in Australia "not supporting local jobs" then when I do a review on an Australian made product people complain ooh it's too expensive. People want Australian made products at imported priced. No matter what product I review someone always has to complain about this issue. Can't win either way
