A few notes: 1) It is an incredibly bad idea to wear gloves while operating equipment. 2) The wood would not require so much sanding if you used proper woodturning tools. Watch professional turners such as Richard Raffen to learn the proper tools and techniques. 3) Get a book of Greecian urns and vases to get an understanding of pleasing shapes and proportions.
It looks like 2 people turned this creation. I do enjoy the shape but please consider a proper tenon & shoulder for stability and safety!
