I'm getting shown this in school in 2021.
Best thing I've watched all day. Eye opening humour. Nicely done, nicely done.
Brilliant vid. Especially the John Snow pub bit. Genius. Plus i think i might have to start carrying around post-its with 'Like' written on them from now on.
Very effective. Serious points well made with humour. First thing I've seen which makes me want to work out how to keep safe online!
"Oh, you're actually following me!" ....brilliant.
She was wit, I hope he married her since then.
I wish we lived in a world where the question could i be your friend would not be weird.
I love this guy. Did he actually just enter a bar with a sign saying "Interested in men"? You've earned a sub.
Hahaha i got shown this in school and I thought it was hilarious
gay meme I have got it in school to
Same it’s for p4c
gay meme It was philosophy/p4c on google classroom
Same
It's a good movie, I saw it last night at the school of my oldest. Brilliant!
This is great! has the makings of a hilarious play!
This is a very cleaver ad for a new opera.
Very very intriguing - I can't wait to see it when it comes to the Met Opera or on dvd, whichever first.
Love this!
I'm doing online school and the teacher in the other class said (or idk) we have to watch it
This is great. I've already watched it a couple times. To funny.
I love this. I did sort of have to put my hands over my eyes when he was following the girl in green though. Good work.
Very good! Great idea and well executed! Keep it coming lads!
still gold 10 years later
Nico Muhly is a brilliant musician, I wish I could watch this but an ocean is in my way.
HILARIOUS!!!!!!! LOVE IT xxx
Extremelly awesome!!! Cheers guys!!! :-)
That's why it's online and not RL. It's still funny to watch what you do online so casually to be simulated in real life.
where could i find the music from this video. Marvelous!
This is brilliant! And funny at the same time..
a friend is some one that lifts your life up when interacting with them, laughter fun etc.
on line they cant hurt or if they do you can cut them off.
the same in real life a 'friend' that steals your happiness is not a friend
this is brilliant!!
Love. Love. Love.
you are the best!!!! this is the real life!!!
Wow, talk about serious advertising! Almost 1,000,000 views! Two Boys will be fantastic.
'can I poke you'- love it
Excellent and very funny! This social-networking IRL idea has already been done elsewhere (e.g. South Park) but the confused faces of ordinary people in the park and on the street (especially the Asian guy) really adds to the amusement.
Just in case anyone is wondering, there is a reason for the John Snow Pub / Interested in Men skit: The John Snow was in the news recently when a gay couple was asked to leave the pub for kissing.
Yeah this is true, i agree. Great !
Great video! (and just love that he's @ Seven Dials etc :)
Brilliant.
Oh snap. So true! Art!
i enjoyed alout!!!!!!! wonderful lolololol
good job boys
that is so true. i always think about that.
great point!!!!
5 years ago and i find myself today on 0:41.
Alisson Valentim ha gay
jk lol
I have no friends😐
Oh London we love you.
Telling people you like things is something people do every day. And when you make a friend request on Facebook, it's done in the social context of Facebook, same as with meeting someone at a bar - it's not unusual for people to just come up to you and start chatting; it's expected and part of the norms of that particular situation.
HILARIOUS!!!
Ok you guys are seriously clever, respect from the visionOntv crew.
Very interesting to see how it would work in the real Life!!!
A gente vive falando sobre essa questão do quanto nos acostumamos a dar de graça informações das nossas vidas pessoais em troca de status. Vídeo bacana no qual o cara faz na "vida real", o que costumamos fazer "online".
Great video!
Hey why didn't you try 'real life Mafia War"? It could be less different than on Facebook.
Yes!
this is FUN to watch !!!!!!!!!!!!
But I only keep to the friends i know in real life. i think it's socially a lot better to do :)
It is an odd coincidence that I liked this video? And by liked I mean clicked the like button to save it in my Likes folder?
Lol Our Online Life Is Crazy Got Shown This At School It Was So Funny! 😂
I like ur profile pic how nice
can i be your friend ?!
A very good reflection of social media!
This reveals the sad "reality" of internet identities. They are superficial.
I'm surprised he didn't get sued for harassment.
this video clip was shown in our school and everyone was laughing
Yeah, this whole "online" business makes us do weird things indeed... :D Nice video!
Good to learn
Well done! Its a slap in the face for all online/facebook/social freaks! I dont use fb, twitter or any other social network , and I must admit how can someone have 1500 friends? Whey do I want to follow someone on twitter and enticipate when they are going to tweet? Try and live the real life.....
A-MAZING.
@Reemii What's the point in going to a pub if you are not going to meet people. I don't know what bars you have in Toronto but here in the UK people / strangers generally talk to each other, especially outside in smoking areas.
We saw this at the risk factory in Edinburgh 11th January 2019
0:51 ima just walk backwards away from weird man XD
I liked this.
Wow if Facebook was an actual person, we would all end up friendless and only have Facebook as a friend
im going to do this now
Epicly Epic
@arcticsun Yes, she reacted pretty fast to actually first realize, get chocked, calm down and finally coming up with something to say to a random stalker.
I'll be your friend!!!
They're still making operas? Cool!
HA HA HA HA...OMG!!....This is so funny:D
When he did the "following" bit, I thought for sure he was going to get slapped
This is genius!
lol, nice (; i loved the following.
They actualy show this in schools. My ict teacher showed it to my class and we were all laughing.
more videos like this please :)
this man got balls for doing that in public in the name of art
This is realy cool! LOL!!
This is hilarious!
It's hard to compare virtual world and real world because the language is different and, well, a chasm separates them!
Still, I liked the video and I think it raises an interesting and relevant discussion. :)
FUN TASTIC !!
As someone who DOESN'T use twitter or facebook this is somewhat lost on me
so........how would you share youtube videos???
That´s right. I like it! - I follow you!
I would have said yes to being his friend...
Hilarious. It does make you wonder about the social media life.
I think this video was not made merely for entertaining purposes, it seems to me that it wants to portray the irony of our online lives... how easy it is for us to accept a complete stranger's friendship request online contrasted with how hostile we react in the real world.
perfect video superb
its so funny ... the twitter following part was hilarious
that boy is wird you can't just say can i be you'r friend he needs to tell what he likes to do like something like that
@jeras2: I think you've missed the point. You are right-someone playing Mario on the street would look odd. The difference is that Mario is a game, whereas social media are purported to be communication conduits for making personal contact with others.
The critique offered falls into three categories: new jargon ("ROFL" "poke"); amount and type of self-disclosure (e.g., announcing relationship status); and the nature of relationships (e.g., what does "friend" mean in social media v. 3D life?).
It's a great campaign..
This is genius
17 years, to be sure. I left out another important aspect: shallowness and superficiality. Luckily, I have met a few worthwhile people tayht I may have called friends, but not through artifical friend-making and introduction-driving institutions.
Poke..poke?..yeah poke...poke?...yeah poke, can I poke you? LMAO
the poking part was hilarious auaheahueahaiueahae
Obviously a slam at social network sites like Facebook, and a pretty good slam at that.
Most people would be arrested if they acted in public the way they do online.
This is reminding me of a joke someone told me...
i lol´d when he said "lol...rofl"
@postmodernobjection: Yes, that IS the pub! Clever touch indeed. But where can I add the guy as my friend?
LOL at 1:20. He keeps hounding the guy to be his friend. But the guy obviously used the "ignore", so he shouldn't have had to listen to him anymore. ;P
Sorry, I have to push the LIKE button :D
