Common problems. The rear view mirror adjustment cover will break almost every time you remove it. New ones are cheap. The door latch is another common problem. You can see his door panel has been off before probably because the latch broke.

Helpful thanks. As others have stated, pulling off the sail panel ruins it. But okay as you can replace on eBay for $20. Otherwise was not a problem replacing speakers on my wife's 2010 Ford Focus.
Thank you very much. I have a 2009 Focus Coupe SES and it is the same except the panel has 3 screws on the bottom because the door is longer than the one on the sedan. Now I just need to figure what parts I need.
CZcams it 111$ for new piece easy fix kind of after watching videos just make sure to tape your window in the upright position or youll have a hell of a time
At 2:29 you remove the cover where they glued it back on. I have a 2011 Focus that I bought brand new where I removed those to replace the speakers and the clips were destroyed already. It looks as though Ford put a rubber washer on it that has a chemical in it that reacts with the plastic causing it to melt. Deep under the clip the plastic was fine, but where the rubber met the plastic it was all melted. This was on all 4 clips to both covers on the doors. I will be going to a tear a part place locally and see if my theory is correct. If so, I think Ford should be responsible and have a recall on the parts and replace it.
@@user-db5zc1gp6t I hope so too! I never did get down to the tear apart to see if the covers were bad as well. I ended up purchasing new covers online and they ship them with the rubber washers in a separate bag. I did call Ford about it, but in all honesty I don't think that they'll do anything about it.
