Imagine going “flat out” in a scion in a race, and it looking like you are going 20mph. I dont see how this can be called “racing.” Even karting is more intense. Wanna watch a Honda civic with a 10sec 0-60 race a 150hp FRS? Not thanks!

They are just buds sharing the costs so they can go racing. They can’t afford to have people just sending it into a corner and slamming into them and potentially causing major damage that they will be liable for. Huge costs are apart of the sport and everyone on the track recognizes that, but that’s why they also expect the respect of there equipment same as they will do there best to show yours the same respect. Everyone understands things will happen from time to time, but in this instance it was simply a driver being far too aggressive trying to make a pass and nearly costing not only himself but his fellow racers a lot of money for simply being impatient and over aggressive. Good job by Ben to reel it back in and race clean side by side, even on his final overtake
High emotions are a part of racing. You can't get mad at everyone who gets mad. Especially when you make contact with tens of thousands of dollars worth of car parts.
Emotions are high, in Motorsport. You have to remember one big shunt to an amateur racer & they could be done for a long time financially. Imagine someone could take your hobby away from you in a moment.
I can relate to the frustration.. a worse driver with slightly more power can be a nightmare to pass because they just regain on a straight and block you where your better.

The track is called MOSPORT (now renammed Canadian Tire Motorway. But no one refers it to that) the track is about an hour and a half North - East of Toronto
This is actually a great video to show to people who think frs/brz/86 are “crazy cars” nah they are slower that civics in the straights, both are excellent economy cars and you can have fun with both for a reasonable price but its nice to see an frs humbled by a civic, a 9th gen nonetheless
That civic is repping pfaff motor sports, now without knowing all the details of how much is covered by the team, all drivers are liable for their own damage
Lol this is amazing, the enduro racing by me (riverhead raceway on long island) is this goofy little donut and every single car on the track looks like a smashed beercan from all the bumping. Its wild watching an enduro race with basically unblemished cars.
