2024 here. The 00s were such a great decade for music.
and in 2022 we’re still here standing like statues, 15years after this dropped 🤙🏾
Great comment
2023 we'll still be here...
@@michalleso5895 we are indeed 👌🏻🗿

"This" I mean Sam Fowler's comment, obviously.
Thanks !
bcuz it wasnt in the description
Shit's still got me coming back, going on a decade later. RIP 15 year old me.
+ImmaTonTon I know dem feels..
How old I was the year it came out, yeah. You got up on good music early though. Nice. ;D
+ImmaTonTon I was 10 when my friend introduced me to Enter Shikari, back in 2010.
***** WELL SHIT, GRANDPA.
+TonTon I was 38 when this came out, loved it, saw them in Dublin that year also, oldest one there! LOL
2023. Still feels like this came out yesterday. Bloody hell I still listen to it like I heard it for the first time yesterday!!!
AND STILL WE WILL BE HERE... STANDING LIKE STATUES!!!!
SQIUD MAN SCOTT AND STILL WE WILL BE HERE... STANDING LIKE STATUES!!!!!
FOREVER... STANDING LIKE STATUES!!!!!!!
SQIUD MAN SCOTT 2020
Still listening in 2020....This album is timeless
Yes mr stires you know !
☔️🥴
and still we will be here...
still listening in 2021
WOOOOORD
It's amazing how four kids of 20 years old could create such a great album; with a very curious sound mix, arrangements and imaginary. Always loved this album
True. Finch’s What it is to burn only one i can think of that’s on par & they were around 18 .. insane 🤘
@@guythompson7218I think Say Hello to Sunshine is the more complex, detailed and diverse album, but I get your point.
@@Mrdrowning245 might be more complex & diverse but WIITB is simply a masterpiece from start to finish.. Never gets old. All opinion obviously but I think it’s in a different league to Hello..
Here in 2023. Yup, still a great album.
From one fan to another, I completely understand what you mean, the whole album helps remind yourself of the values we stood for as youth and how important the message was back in 2007
Adieu honestly sounds like a wedding/movie ending/mental breakdown and funeral song all rolled into one. Such an outstanding song
100% agree. That song is a lifetime
Still can't listen to it without ugly crying
this album man, i will never forget it the soundtrack of the best years of my life
couldn't agree more! its sad.
It reminds me of being in high school and the more carefree times. Miss those days.
I love that they put their whole album here to listen to for free. Old album or not, that's fuckin cool of them. I love when a band does stuff like that. Tells me their more about the music than the money. Real MUSICIANS. Good shit, great album.
They even put out their newest album on here for free. :)
I met them in person at Warped Tour, they're very down-to-earth guys.
They're solid lads that love their fans. Once they were doing a gig in a stadium and a couple of fans were rejected to come in to a sound check by security so the singer Rou came out to give them all coffee.
Bullshit :'D Rou's mind seems to be a take in the skies, constantly.
They get paid for it by CZcams revenue you fools lmao
honestly one of the best albums in the last 20 years so original and creative. nothing sounds like this
Exactly. Still to this day
Tbf there was a lot of stuff that sounded like this at the time. This is pretty much the only one that stands up today. Absolute classic record.
@@joelowdon1615 i think even then it still had this very unique british feel to it that all the other american bands didnt have
@@charizardmaster13 yeah, I meant British bands. There were a few on the scene at the time. Nobody made it as big as Shikari but there was a definitely a scene of people trying to do that sound. Haha it feels so long ago now!
@@joelowdon1615 any names u could give as im actually quite interested in hearing some of these bands
Please someone rewind time so I can go back to when this first came out. I remember seeing them in a tiny venue in Leicester called the Charlotte and I was hooked ever since!
THE ULTIMATE NOSTALGIC EXPERIENCE
Hell yes!
I love u
bro I listend to this the year it came out, just listened to it today and this comment was perfect
I was a freshman at work when it came out
So true, even more so when I hear Jonny Sniper. One of my all-time favourite tracks.
Listened to this album die hard while playing Elder Scrolls Oblivion back in '07-'08. Listening to this album brings back memories of that game, playing that game brings back memories of this album. Good times, love both.
Best comment.
My favourite Elder Scrolls!
Have you heard of the high elves?
Khajiit has wares if you have coin
You have Some skooma?
Mothership is the perfect example of everything Enter Shikari is about. No limit on the "style" of music presented, switching seamlessly between EDM, punk, metal and a whole lot else all in a single track that hits hard and captures you from start to finsish
I remember seeing enter shakari in a small little pub in Southampton UK called the joiners. they were just starting out as a band and ever since then I've watched them grow. there one of the best British bands out there. bring on slam dunk 2017
Something about Electronic/Metalcore just gets me, makes me feel that 2000s nostalgia like I'm playing my gamecube while eating a lunchable. I miss those times but they're long gone, thankfully I still got the memories :)
Fucking hell. Just rediscovered this Album in its sheer bloody wholeness. After ten years not listening it all comes back. Fucking shattered mate. Legends.
2021 and I'm still convinced the first 3 or 4 songs to this album is the best intro to any album ever made
This whole album slaps. Front to back.
When you listen to it eleven years later, and you feel like you're discovering it all over again... !
I can't even listen without having to repeat the song I just listened to.. The replay value of this album is so good.
2022?? Any faithfulls still here???
We here in 2023!
i remember the days when this album came out and how odd was the sound to my peers in south europe. in 2022 its still unique and fresh to me. one of the rare albums i can listen without skipping a song
I feel the same way
The final nostalgia trip. Man, that synth right at the end hits you harder than everything!
Everytime i come back to this album, it blows me away. The melodies are genius.
Ten years ago this was out and I was a junior in high school.. Fast forward to last night, I went to the 10th anniversary tour with my fiancee.. Phenomenal. Glad to have grown up with their music. AND STILL WE WILL BE HERE STANDING LIKE STATUES
what a time to be alive
Happy 14th birthday take to the skies, still here standing like statues🎂🎂
November 2022 here checking in on the most influential album of my life ❤️
I collected Mp3's for some 20 years. "Sorry you're not a winner" came on one morning before work. I haven't looked back since.
This album never gets old. Fond memories driving around listening to this in high school
one of my favourite albums of all time. hate to be pedantic, but no other release by you guys has come close to this.
TOTAL AGREE
A flash flood of colour is nice as well...but this is my favorite album of shikari body of work...love it all tho
@Tom Boreham What are there politics?
read this as "hate to be pandemic" lol..
This is still one of my favourite ever albums. Just utterly brilliant. Love it. Wish I could go back to teenage me seeing them live.
The nostalgia this album brings me.
After all these years I still know every lyric, every note. I have goosebumps and I'm so happy I could cry
Thank you for uploading this, so very much ❤️
So many, so many beers were drank to this god damn album all hail the glory days! Best of days with the best of friends!
THIS IS ALL I NEED TO FEEL ALIVE!!!!
2024 still the best enter shikari album Acid Nation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2022 baby. such a dope sound. 18-20 years old, listening in the car with my buddies on burn rides xD
The life!
This was the soundtrack to my summer back in 2010, freaking love it
Ñpp
You can really feel the passion here. Not saying that their newer stuff lacks it, there is just a youth energy here that can't be replicated.
I can't believe I was 6 when this came out. Time flies by so damn fast. Great album, brings so many memories...
I remember when this first came out, heading to college on the bus listening to this everyday for 2 years. Seeing ES in Falmouth UK. With all my friends. Such wonderful time to look back on but at the time trying to figure out what was going on in the world. This album brought so much peace and also allowed us all to get together and just live our best life.
Today is the first day i'm listening this album.
This takes me back to a completely different time, 10 years can make a huge difference
12 years later still a masterpiece
The ambient synths at the end of the album always gives me the chills :D
Same. Best way to close out an album
Traveling to see them twice this weekend. Take To The Skies has had more influence on my life than any other album in the last decade, and I say that as a musician and DJ. This is real music.
And I'll scream with a thousand voices, "I AM SHANE!"
still enjoy listening your music since 2008 😍
Saw these guys at Rock Werchter 2007. They were hilarious and brilliant. This album takes me back
First time ever listening to this band and album. Absolutely amazing!
Nice
What a treat, ain't it?!
At 38 I was the oldest at a Dublin gig 2007 LMAO, during promotion of this unique album, love this album, still in cd player often, always on iPod, today delighted to find a stream!
I was about 40 when i caught the last part of this film clip on TV in Adelaide South Australia 10 or so years ago lol - So fresh and exciting - I just had to get my hands on the cd. A very unique band.
I was 12 when I saw them in 2007 lmao
The first I time I went to a shikari gig (back in 07) I remember walking out the venue afterwards to find out my generation was waiting for their kids to pick up........
2007...times fly. I was 13. Damn.
THIS IS ALL I NEED TO FEEL ALIVE
For the very first time I have listened to this band during playing NHL at console. since this moment, I am a huge fan of these guys. You are always welcomed in Minsk, Belarus. :)
STILL HERE 2016
luv this shit man
2022 and still listening to this album.
i remember seeing shikari like 3 times in the space of about 6 months when i was about 15/16 (i even bought the first original pressing of jonny sniper/acid nation on 7" from merch before kids my age even knew what a record player was) during this tour and everytime, it ended up being just some glowstick-fuelled mess inclusive of rooms full of sweaty manchester teens and spin-kicks to the knuckleduster belt buckle
urbis 4eva baby, never forget
I saw them in Manchester not long after Take to the Skies came out, finger lights, glowsticks, sweat and a massive pit! T'was a good night, as far as I remember...
and i wouldn't have had it any other way
My middle school anthem
I can't really express how this album has changed my music tastes completely to such a wider spectrum. Thank you so much for being there 16 years ago
This album will forever be with me.
best and only album i listen to by them! so many teenage houseparty memories! :D
Still their best album.
It's a tie with The Mindsweep for me.
Every song is a banger
Literally
Just saw them preform this album live in Denver! Best night of my life!
The sickest 8 and a half minutes to start off any album ever man. To this day.
This is still my favourite album of all time.
Every album you guys put out keeps getting better and better keep it up guys your still my favorite band to date. no other band comes close
Issac, get back to destroying the markers you lazy bitch I'm waiting for a sequel
Anyone else still have half this album in their playlist?
So much respect that this band has uploaded their stuff to youtube. WMG can suck it.
Love you guys for just straight up uploading most of your albums in their entirety to youtube, you can tell you have a place in your hearts for the fans - we thank you for this!
Can't wait for lockdown to end so I can get to one of your next shows. Much Love!
Listen to this every morning and every night
2023, still here standing like statues..
Still my favourite album...after all this time!
If i live to my 80s or something i will be banging this gem and feel gratitude for the journey
What i love about this album is that it feels wholesome, really diverse and veeery mystical. Unique stuff
@@vuyamie the atmosphere is top notch
@@vuyamie beautiful description!
I remember that fateful day in 2007 when I was introduced to Enter Shikari by a friend. I went to watch one of their shows and I've been a massive fan ever since. Call it nostalgia glasses but this album is still their greatest work in my opinion. Jonny Sniper inspired my Xbox Live name back in the day haha. Shikari for life!!!
I get goosebumps everytime i listen to this album
Same
This will always be my favorite album by them. A band truly ahead of its time. 🖤🤘
2022 and still rocking this :3
Still it's just an incredible album! So good!
Just saw their Take to the Skies tour in Montréal, it was fricking incredible! Being As An Ocean was their support, and they were crazy too! The last song they played is my very favourite, "Ok, Time For Plan B", the first song of theirs I'd heard. That was my first hardcore show ever... I couldn't have asked for a better experience, damn!
10 years on and I still love this album so much! The nostalgia... I had my first mosh pit experiences hearing this live. And now age 24 I've rekindled my love for it, the lyrics have a whole deeper meaning to them. Yaaaaaas!!
15 years ago, but I'm still young with this music)
by far their best album
Like this comment if you are still standing like statues in 2024
Knowing the lyrical basis is more story telling / fiction... This album has an esoteric vibe that imo... actually hits more now than ever before... trippy !
I miss the good old days when this was released
2021 and still fresh to the bone
Still gives me goosebumps to this day :D
That synth bass at 0:15 makes my hairs stand on end
To this date my favorite album of all time
Such a treat, 13 years went by, this still is GOLD
Just got back from the ten year tribute to this album and it was amazing!!! The crowd was so incredibly into the whole show it was awesome! On top of that In Your Memory and Being as an Ocean were some of the best headliners possible!! I give a massive thanks to the Baltimore Sound Stage and the band's that performed. It was an awesome night that I couldn't have asked for to be better, but in the end, 'Still we will be here, standing like statues!'
Still enjoy this album as much as I did when I was like 13 ♥️
Enter Shikari made me into the man I am today. I will be forever grateful
I must have listened to this thousands of times over the years.... its still fucking epic every time ❤
Loved this album
