In the darkest depths of the ancient dungeon ruins, a fighter named Sookie and his trusty friend, Royced, a wizard, ventured forth in search of epic loot and untold treasures. With his longsword in hand, Sookie was known as a high roller in the world of PvP combat, a true slayer with nerves of steel. Beside him, Royced, the wizard, was the master of spells and headshots with his fireballs and magic missiles.
As they navigated the treacherous labyrinth of the dungeon, Sookie's intense focus and fighter instincts guided his every step. He was adept at blocking and parrying incoming attacks, and his riposte was a sight to behold. Sookie was always ready to face adversity, even in the most dire of circumstances, like a 1vs2 or a 1vs3 encounter.
Royced, on the other hand, was the group's guide, the one who had mastered the tutorial of arcane arts. His spells were not only a source of destruction but also of protection, often providing the second wind they needed to press on. With a flick of his wrist, he could cast protective wards, creating an adrenaline rush of safety for their group.
Together, they made an unstoppable team, complementing each other's skills seamlessly. Sookie would charge into the fray, drawing the attention of enemies with his longsword, while Royced hung back, launching fireballs and magic missiles with deadly precision. The enemies that fell before their onslaught would find themselves defeated by a combination of sword and sorcery that left them bewildered.
As they ventured deeper into the dungeon, they encountered a formidable group of foes - a ranger, a cleric, a rogue, and a bard. Amidst the fallen foes, they discovered a cache of epic loot, including a magical crossbow for Sookie, and enchanted gear and equipment for Royced. As Sookie and Royced continued their journey through the dark and darker depths of the dungeon ruins, their bond as friends and warriors grew stronger with each challenge they faced. They knew that whatever lay ahead, they could conquer it together, their longsword and spells combining to create a force that was truly unstoppable.
the shield skelly I just hug and then walk to the left while holding the parry, for some reason this parries the shield guy every time for me as well as both swings from the footmen. Literally every other technique I know is because of you though, undisputed longsword G.O.A.T. Your videos brought a new joy to the game for me as I've realized just how fun the naked longsword runs are. After running so many, I've finally started getting some wipes myself! You're my longsword sensei. 🤺
I had it in my head that they were bugged, so didn't bother ever trying to parry them. You don't need to strafe left for the non-shield footies though.

Here's a little tip to parry the skeleton Guardian(the one with shield)
Get on his face and place the longsword tip over his right shoulder

Sure, I guess if you don't like PvP. I've gone down only a few times and have only ever had one fight on stage 2.
@SookieSpy I enjoy a healthy dose of pvp and usually find a team or 2 when going down. Have only had a few instances where I didn't see any traces of other people.
Its nice having lower density but still people to fight.
And it also makes for when ironmace fixes bosses/adds a solos version of bosses that you have less people to deal with.
Its fun, thematic and functional all in 1
@@TheCosmicAstro- I will say it's kind of fun to hunt people when you know they have gone down. It feels like a real game of cat and mouse, but it's definitely a slower pace than how I usually play the game. Sorry, if I came across dismissive earlier. There are definitely many ways to enjoy this game.

Also im sure when they continue updating the game and give more reason to actually delve deeper.
Cause right now there isn't really much reason(especially hell), there will be more people in the lower levels.
And yeah I agree the cat and mouse thing is pretty fun. Cause you'll see someone on ruins, see that they didn't die and it was the final ring so they either barely escaped or are down there with you. Creates some interesting gameplay

You can go through my twitch VoDs if you want HR. I got to pathfinder in a day (for the skin) and it was boring as hell because it's AP optimal not to fight players. Then I made a HR PvP character and went on an 18 kill streak which was tough because everyone runs away, I don't really think it's harder apart from when you fight super juiced warlocks and are forced into the range meta (which I don't do ofc). For me, HR is a PvE gamemode that is less balanced because of gear scaling, but I still do it when ruins is on solo rotation.

In my experience, HR players are no better. Maybe because I don't want to open 100,000 chests and avoid fights to play with the big boys 😂
I'm playing HR on stream but because I don't AP grind and focus PvP, the next complaint will be "people are bots because low rank".
@@SookieSpy that's fair and respectable AP system and the teaming/peaceful it encourages is so cringe
@@mindlapse1 Watch the last game of my most recent VoD, it was a pretty decent HR game. I will probably put a HR edit out soon, but for every good game, there are 2 where you get zero fights. Definitely enjoying it more playing with Royced because I'm not forced into range and ranger.
