    Born in 1977, Dara Horn is a celebrated American author, known for her roles as a novelist, essayist, and literature professor. She is the author of five novels and, in 2021, published a collection of nonfiction essays called "People Love Dead Jews," which became a finalist for the 2021 Kirkus Prize in the nonfiction category. Her literary achievements include winning the Edward Lewis Wallant Award in 2002, securing the National Jewish Book Award in 2003, 2006, and again in 2021, and receiving the Harold U. Ribalow Prize in 2007.
