Finally! This is the 4th video I’ve watched and you said what the rest of them didn’t and what had been confusing me. It’s an apparent force and not an actual force. The other vids I watched kept showing the weight swinging around on a string example and said the string was applying an inward force. It’s not actually applying a force. it’s limiting/holding/controlling its centrifugal force. Thank you 👋🙂✌️

Technically, there's no such thing as centrifugal force; it is simply inertia.

Centripetal and centrifugal forces are (almost) always theoretically associated with objects that spin and/or rotate; usually to understand them better.
In Science, Engineering, and physics both centripetal and centrifugal forces are considered as a “force pair” (in an action and reaction context) that are almost always associated with objects that spin, rotate and/or exhibit circular motion.
According to Newton's first law of motion, any object must travel along a straight/linear plane and at a constant velocity, “unless it is acted on by an outside force”.
Just as if you tied an object to a “connecting” piece of string (constituting the origin of “an outside force”) and swung that object fast around your head in a circular motion; so, too, (Newtonian) gravity is often considered to be the “outside connecting force” (responsible for the origin of any centripetal and/or centrifugal force) that acts on objects that are both upon the earth and also orbiting within the Sun’s solar system.
For reasons many may have not been aware; the use of the word “inertia” is not entirely out of place when describing a “centrifugal (or outward acting) force” either.
Not in the least as you can pretty much consider a centrifugal force to not be (a) real (force), and due solely to inertia.
Often people are surprised to learn that, to some extent, there really is no such thing as an outward and/or centrifugal force, and that there is only an (inward) centripetal force.
Nevertheless, it is only the inertia of an object in rotation that makes it move outward; and therefore its tendency to move outward is not necessarily the direct result of any outward and/or centrifugal force.
As such the term centrifugal force is simply a construct and/or Pseudo Force.
“Pseudo Force” (often used to describe “centrifugal force”) is simply a construct to explain radial/outward inertia - that "seems" to present itself as a force in the opposite direction to centripetal force - associated with rotating objects.
It is only the inertia of an object in rotation that makes it move outward (not an outward force as such); and therefore its tendency to move outward is not necessarily the direct result of any outward and/or centrifugal force.

Great video! But I think centrifugal force is not actually a force, but an effect resulting from the cup(object)'s inertia. It is resisting the change in direction and continues to travel in the direction of the tangent until it hits the end the edge of the car.
