In this video I go through, step by step, how to fit rear parking sensors to a Ford Fiesta 2014.
The sensor kit I am using is X-Vision.
The process is the same for most Fiestas but slightly different for other models.

Found out that if you take off bumper it already has the markings so you just need to make pilot holes then hole saw from out side of the bumper to stop any paint chipping

On the black trim, better to drill at 80mm instead of 30mm. That will fit like the oem sensors, and as written in one comment, it can be seen on the back of the absorber.
On my 2009 EU Fiesta, the reverse wire is the full blue, took me some tries to find it so here is a tip for the viewers.
Thanks for this nice and helpful video 👍🏻 though.

Quick tip: instead of stripping the wire and soldering, simply use a quick splice wire connector or a T-tap wire connector.
Piece of cake - takes a few seconds, looks neat, easy to disconnect, cheap - no wonder some parking sensor kits contain one of these.

I just bought an original set from a Fiesta ST in my color from eBay. Drilled 29 mm and plugged the sensors in the socket that’s already behind all the Fiesta bumpers haha. Fixed it in forscan and tadaa. Original PDC on the screen and through the speakers

There are kits with the screen. If you have an aftermarket infotainment and head unit you can wire those in the infotainment system.

Since you're only tapping into the reverse power wire, realistically these can be installed on any car right?

    • @Arg0n01
      @Arg0n01 Před 24 dny

Correct. It will draw power from the reverse light. Same with the reverse camera with led lights. If you wire it in and flip to reverse the leds light up and the dash cam goes into the reverse mode.

It's powered by the reverse light signal..
Same as connecting to a 12v battery in your bedroom, it'll still function.
Talking of, I've just had an idea.
Battery charger will be permanent 12v... Install sensors into a driveway tree, push wall etc
      Power by the battery charger
When you reverse up (or drive forward) the 'wall' or 'tree' will beep
