Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

I think after a week of you three California will never be the same
and its already not the same as anywhere else. 😜😜
As soon as I head the alarm go off in the hotel I laughed so hard remembering the podcast episode of Randy's wife saying how much she hated it. I love this kind of content from your channel. Keep up the good work Becky!

Yuuup, and very fattening !! You guys certainly had a lot of FUN, together !!
These 3 had to have been permanently banned from ever returning to California. What a great time and I sure hope there's much more to come. As always thanks for bringing us along with ya guys. Thanks Becky for all your hard work putting these videos together too! You do such an amazing job for real.
This video made me laugh out loud by myself for the first time in a very long time. Looks like everyone had a blast!
Laughing out loud alone is good for the soul.

That was the best intro ever!
Slab City looks like a upper class development. I love the border wall, looks great, wish it was done.
The M series BMW's are hot rods from the factory! High horsepower, made for performance! Fun video.
The entire trip Randy just reeks like cologne everybody's gonna think he's completely baked out of his mind and spraying a bunch of cologne to cover it up😂
Only his fans over 18.! The youngsters will think it's just another drive to church on Sunday in the winter with the heat turned up.!
I love these mashup videos, always have me cracking up
Great video as always!
Lol, looks like BMW guy at the end was somewhere with someone he wasn't supposed to be with 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Holy crap! That Hampton Inn in El Cajon is about 4 miles from my house. You should've come over to say howdy. I'd have gone out to Imperial Valley with you. Lots of sugar beets out there. I think that's the big leafy crop you saw. Hopefully you stopped by the Spreckles Sugar facility. And those "mountains" are in my Barrio, man.
As good as the content is, I can only imagine the mess of random footage that needs to be edited from these guys, great job putting it together. As entertaining as any tv I’ve ever seen.
Hello from Moosomin ,Saskatchewan, Canada Great videos you put out.
This video is excellent love how its put together
loving the intro awesome job becky
THE GUSTAPPO ALARM MAKES AN APPEARANCE. Love the content zach
I love this,,, it's just like our bike trips. Harley's rule
Glad y’all made it back home safely
Welcome to the Imperial Valley where farming happens all 12 months. Master Pipe Layer Randy there are about 500,000 tiled acres that moves about a million acre feet of salty waste water per year to the Salton Sea. Each acre of farm ground is allowed 5.5 acre feet of water per year.
Love the shenanigans videos! Great for a Friday afternoon while I'm "working".
In California, strawberries are cultivated like you were discussing. The plants are started in one area and shipped to another with a better climate to mature and be harvested. Then the mature plants are torn out and it all starts over again. A big change from when a plant produced for five or six years before being replaced.
Boys will be boys, great start to the road trip.
You guys have made my day thank you. Cannot wait for the next episode
You guys travel like a buddy and I used to do. We were usually somewhere between lost and found as we scouted out the different farms and crops we've never seen before
That was cool racing !!!
I was the John Deere Territory Manager and later the Division Sales Manager in the Yuma and Imperial Valley a number of years back. . The canal from the Colorado River in Yuma, Arizona is called the All American Canal and was built to bring water into the Imperial Valley. It's their only water sourse. It was built in 1928 to 1930's as part of the Hoover Dam project. I believe 5 states have an agreement to use the water from the Colorado River. (this agreement provides water to Phoenix as well) This replaced the Alamo Canal which ran in Mexico. It's the longest canal I believe in the world but it's also the deadlest. Over 500 people have drowned since it was completed. Through farming in the Imperial Valley the run off from irrigation farming flows into the Salton Sea. Because of this, it gets bigger every year because there's no place for the water to go.
You are correct up until the last sentence, and it was accurate when you were out there, but around 1999 the farmers changed how they managed water and stopped letting large amounts of water run off into the Salton Sea, and with the current more efficient water usage the water level is steadily decreasing as it evaporates.
Also of interest, the Salton Sea is on top of the San Andreas fault.
Through history, sometimes the Colorado River would flow into the Salton Sink, and sometimes it would flow into the Gulf of California (behind Baja California)
It's the Colorado delta that actually cuts the Salton Sink off from the ocean in the Gulf of California, and sometimes it flows one way and sometimes the other way. It has been flowing into the gulf of California since the 1500's.
The Gulf of California would reach all the way up to Indio if not for the Colorado River Delta cutting it off.
The lake surface is 236 feet below sea level, and the lake is about 43 feet deep at the deepest point.
The deepest point is only about 5 feet higher than the lowest point in Death Valley.
@@ke6gwf Thats good news. I haven't worked out there since the 90's. I miss traveling out there and going to the Coachella Valley to get a date shake.
This is funny. Great video.
Oh my God I have tears rolling,!!!

Yoiu had some of the best winter days in california ever
Normally I prefer the farming content, but that was great, keep it up guys.
When you “made it to the border”, incredible dove hunting area. When it’s windy they are flying low .

I love the "they have a 140 mph backstretch" "is that all it will go"?? 🤣🤣🤣
I love Randy’s alarm, I don’t know how you don’t shit your self in the morning.
It was awful
We moved from CA (Paso Robles 2 hr from the valley) to Southern IN oh how I miss the mountains! My Dad did custom farming (row crops) in the Salinas Valley. I miss all the fresh produce 😢 thanks for helping miss the things I loved in CA (maybe not so much southern CA)
Great Video!
Welcome to the central valley of California where agriculture is a different world lived there for 18 years
Lived on a rasin Vinyard for a couple of years and was part owner of a citrus orchard for 6 years and work in the dairy industry for about 10 years California agriculture is amazing.

The real California
The solar fields were put up by Blattner Energy in Avon, MN.
Slab City looks like a little bit my hometown in Germany. All the mess and garbage. Always interesting videos.
O man what an adventure shoot that looks fun
Thank you Zack and Randy
Just what the dr ordered after a crap year of low prices a 60% pay cut off the bottom line and grovelling to the bank so we can harvest and roll the dice again.
You have given my M8’s and I to do just that go on a “farming trip” straight after harvest.
City people just don’t get excitement we do 😱
Thanks again for keeping us between the rows.
Awesome video. This was a mix of the CZcams videos and the podcast. Love it!

You guys are very funny in CA
Andy was on his toes to get racing lol
Been watching you since you had less that 100K, live here in San Diego but grew up in midwest - love your content. Can't believe you did Thermal, my partner and I did that two weeks ago, great time, takes about an hour to come down from the adrenaline rush.
I love when you do these kind of videos!
Crazy how farmers visit farms on their holidays, in the 80's after harvest was done i went to Australia just to see farms. one days i seen a 1680 case ih harvesting wheat, he had 2 full trucks and was going to fill up the hopper, i stopped and asked him if he wanted some free help, yea sure u can unload the trucks, i go jump in the trucks, the left side of the trucks, then noticed hey it backwards down here, everything is on the right side . hell of a time shifting gears with my left hand. it was cooking hot 44c that day, i seen a stream and stopped and took my shoes off and went to cool off, 5 minutes later the farmer is racing across the field towards me, get out of there, there are crocks in there. Wild and crazy farming down under.
This is the content I need!! Very down to earth
I bet that motel room was practically vibrating from the snoring.
Nice video. I wish we could still burn grass seed fields off but it is like it is for Trevor. No go because of the smoke. Looked like Grimmway farms harvesting carrots. Looks like a lot
of fun.
Wow ! Great content. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Laughed right along with you guys. 🤣
I farmed in the Imperial and Palo Verde Valleys back in the '80's. We farmed land from near the Salton Sea all the way down to the Mexican Border. I lived in Brawley.
I'm sure going to CALIFORNIA with the Master pipe layer will be fun for you guys. Remember, only bottom plow once a year. But work the top as often as you like with the backseat disk. Bawhahahaha
They have 3rivers flowing to the Salton Sea, (New River, Alamo River, & Whitewater River) diverting irrigation water to mitigate some of the rapid evaporation., and the sea continues to dwindle away.
Interesting. It sure is a story, that lake.
This is the best video on CZcams
Master pipe layer , WOW !!!
Love this content, looking forward to the spring start up 🤑
There was a lot of fun going on
I am from Germany 🇩🇪 and work at BMW, I work in assembly as a production manager and am responsible for the construction of the M3 and M4 models every day. I hope you had fun with the red M3 😉.
