  • In this video, I show you how I adapt the bullet journal system for the Hobonichi Weeks.
    ==========
    This is the last video of 2018, and the last video for some time to come. I have a couple more videos that I want to make, but I don't have the time to work on them in the first half of 2019. Hopefully I can make them in the second half of 2019... It all depends on the work situation. I'll still be updating my Instagram ( / yukikosakamura ) so follow me there if you want to see what I do with my planners. Till I see you again, take care and all the best!

    Does Hobonichi company knows about your videos? They should be paying you for these videos how to use their planners! Great work!
    P.S. I got some ideas for my own ring bound printables while watching the video!❤️❤️👍👍👍

      I doubt Hobonichi knows I exist. =) But that's okay! I do this because I love the planner community. It was the community that saw me through my PhD and this is my way of paying it forward, I guess. =) I'm glad to know you managed to apply the ideas to your own system!

    Love this video! I've been looking for a practical guide to using the Weeks for work, and you provide some terrific ideas. A lot of YT videos on the Weeks present beautiful spreads with lots of pictures, stickers, and washi tape. Unfortunately, these videos don't apply to my work needs. Your weekly spreads are just as nice but, most importantly, are practical. Thank you! Going to spend my Saturday watching all your other videos now.

    Just watched this video again and I have missed you and your videos but I am so glad I can go back and watch old videos like this one again. So for 2022 I am going to use the Weeks mega for the first time. I am still going to use my cousin as I use the page per day in that as a commonplace book and I enjoy the vertical daily layouts of the weekly spreads. This video has further convinced me on they type of layout I will do in the weekly pages and I will use the blank pages to keep track of finances, brain dumps, shopping lists, meal planning and so on. Thank you again for this video. I hope you are well. Oh and I almost forgot - the someday/maybe list - love that!!!! A way to integrate GTD into the planner and doing the quarterly review. I will definitely be doing that.

      My planners evolve in their use over time. Sometimes, I find that one planner is more suitable for a certain purpose than the other only after I've tested it out. So, I'd say... just start using it and then see where it takes you =D

    Thank you Yukiko! I always enjoy your videos and ideas. I thought you were going to use the Nolty, but maybe you will use that for something else and I am confused about it. I got a Hobonichi Cousin for 2019, and/but also ordered a Pat-Mi mini set, to try for three months. I find I lose sight of bigger goals/steps and thought having a weekly+monthly view at the same time could help. I'm still figuring out how to make that effective for me. Good luck with your goals for 2019, and have a safe and Happy New Year!

    • @yukikosakamura6498
      @yukikosakamura6498  Před 5 lety +3

      I confess I've never seen a Pat-mi and had to google it! It's such an interesting layout! I hope you enjoy using it. You are correct that I'm using the NOLTY as my main planner. I'm using the Weeks as a teaching journal and to house my bullet journal collection. But since the semester has not begun yet, I have empty space in my Weeks. So I decided to use it this week to demonstrate how I would bullet journal in the Weeks. =) Wishing you all the best for 2019!

    • @amyoungil
      @amyoungil Před 5 lety

      @@yukikosakamura6498 Dear Yukiko, I find the Pat-Mi mini is too small for my handwriting and needs. Reminds me of when they write the Declaration of Independence on a grain of rice. :D I got another planner from the Kokuyo Campus planner line, called "KOKUYO Campus functional hand account (month + week)" I am not sure if links are okay, so I just put keywords for the interested. It's a split-page format. Literally the top is cut off of the bottom, like a Dutch door. The top is months, and the bottom is weeks. Just got mine (I waffled to spend more money on -another- planner) and already I'm finding it very useful. The idea is that you can see a month, all the time, while planning your week/day. I couldn't tell from the images on the different websites how they balance out the number of pages, because the top-half is 12 months, and the bottom half is 52 weeks. On "Month 13" to "Week 52" the top part is graph in some, and lots of checklists in another. I am using some of that for to-do lists per project. I'm not a planning expert, but maybe I should make a video to show how it looks! :D
