Iran spent tens of millions of dollars on their attack and Israel spent 1.3 billion dollars for one nights defence. This is unsustainable for Israel and would lose.
This only makes sense if the Iron Dome was destroyed. How can you say Israel spent 1.3 billion when their Iron Dome is still standing and defending them. You need a lecture on the economics of sunk cost.
If there was a longer war Israel would also strike the rocket sites in Iran and thus limiting their ability to launch rockets in the first place.
And they would probably get billions from the US.

Jordan did the most intercepting not israel. And iran has super sonic missiles in their rsenal, so I think it´s fair to say that iran was just going easy on them. Maybe they were even testing how israels defence system would react for further attacks? Its common knowledge that the iron dome can easily get overwhelmed once enough misslies are being fired at it, like hamas did. After the first wave of "cheap" misslies iran could fire the real deal at israel. Iran is´nt stupid and must have prepared itself for quite a long time now.
They could launch waves of cheap drones for days and days. Thousands of them to deplete the air defense systems then their best stuff.
