Illinois Storm Engine Dyno | 470 Stroker

I've collected the parts and Don has assembled the motor for the Illinois Storm. I wanted to see what all we had and it was time to do a few pulls on the engine dyno.

Crazy I've kept my old block for decades and ready to do it up after years of sbc builds. Still have the original 727 and 8 3/4. Serious on the 470 vs 500 for daily driver stuff. Nice numbers. I'm not going racing but local and long distance cross country trips. Just want my Big Mopar again after many years without running one.

That is an interesting radiator used on the dyno.

Almost all dynos use that setup. It's not an engine run stand.

Sounds like it made good numbers, maybe a little tweaking will bump it up a fuzz.

I have a 496rb in my 64 dart that made 630 and 576 on engine dino.

That's pretty wicked, tough to keep traction I'm sure.
