  • 2019 and up Ford Rangers have become notorious for running through alternators when combined with speed and water. If your Ford Ranger's alternator has come to its end, don't worry they aren't near as hear to replace as you might think. Replacing an alternator on the Ford Ranger requires fewer tools than it does in time.

I'm jealous of your rain coming down out here in CA. To pay you back I just changed my alternator on my 73 Corvette powered 350 Chevy Luv in less than 20 min. I'd call us even! Great video brother.

I think this is the only channel with good Ranger content so far. Can you make a video comparing off road situations with and without rear locker? I'm tempted to do more than gravel roads and loose dirt, and I'm regreting not having a locker.

That’s a great video idea man. I can definitely do that. I would absolutely recommend having the rear locker. I no kidding find a spot that either requires the locker or keeps you from coming out of the obstacle so fast you hit something else. Locker definitely helps keep you slow when in tricky situations

I agree on this channel being one of quality channels for our platform. Also a lot of variety of videos like this one for example. Seriously such an underrated channel. Guy deserves way more attention. The Ranger platform is still far from the Tacoma fanboys level but it’s growing everyday so keep grinding brother!

😂yup. Same has already happened with the Ford Bronco 6g alternators getting too wet. 😢

I'd take it in and have them warranty it! 🙄 FYI big nut IS ALWAYS THE POWER 😱

Any regrets with having a Ford ranger since the alternator isn’t protected from mud and water ? I assume you won’t go into water or mud anymore and risk frying the alternator.

Been many who have gone through mud and water in the ranger. Just have to go slower with even speed

It’s not a huge deal. I hit some big water a lot of times before with no issues. It’s a $100 fix or so. Not gonna keep me out the water but more cautious speed wise for sure

Are we sure something hasn't changed from 2019 to 2021? Because some have issues some don't 🤔 All I know is I'd definitely go aftermarket with a built one after the og dies from water!

Could just have the alternator rebuilt.

So what your saying is that the new Ford altanators are garbage.
