Mahashivaratri Celebrations - Rathotsava, Dolotsava, Teppotsava and Special Pujas

  • On the auspicious Maha Shivaratri day (Mar 8, 2024) in the morning His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam performed special Puja to Sri Malahanikareshwara. In the evening from 7:30 PM, Sri Mahasannidhanam performed the elaborate first Yaama Puja of the Chaturyaama Mahashivaratri Puja to Lord Chandramoulishwara in Gurunivas. Sri Sannidhanam then performed the Chandramoulishwara Puja during the subsequent Yaamas. The Chaturyaama Pujas concluded on the next day (March 9) by 6:30 AM with Sri Sannidhanam performing the Mahamangalarti in the divine presence of Sri Mahasannidhanam.
    As part of the Maha Shivaratri festival, on March 10, 2024, Laksha Mallika Archana was performed to Sri Malahanikareshwara Swami at Ishwaragiri in Sringeri. His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahasannidhanam and His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Sannidhanam graced Ishwara giri and witnessed Mahamangalarati at Sri Malahanikareshwara temple.
    Sri Malahanikareshwara Rathotsava then took place with Sri Sannidhanam leading the procession. The royal scion of Mysore His Highness Yaduveera Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar who had the Darshan of Sri Sharadamba, Sri Mahasannidhanam and Sri Sannidhanam also participated in the Rathotsava.
    As part of the Mahashivaratri celebrations Dolotsava, Sandhanotsava and Teppotsava of Sri Bhavani Malahanikareshwara took place.
    Thousands of devoees had gathered and obained the blessings of Bhagavan Sri Bhavani Malahanikareshwara and the Jagadguru Mahaswamijis.
