I love how "Let's Get Started!" is based on the 1917 US Field Artillery March (Sousa), or "Caissons Go Rolling Along" that was used also in WW2
You know what's funny? I can totally see this music being used in early American cartoons, too. lol Looney Tunes have often used similar types of music in their skits. A more modern take on this would be stuff that they used in supermarkets back in post-WWII US up until the 1970s-80s. There are a variety of machines used, but the most notable one that is now associated with the shopping music is the Seeburg 1000. There's a whole site just for preserving and streaming the music since most of the unique vinyls were lost due to them being destroyed as per company policy.
I watched way too much Girls Und Panzer and recognized that bit of the song.

@@lillalung2539 oooh that’s so nice! my mom learned french as a kid and tried to teach me, so I know the basics. french is kinda similar to portuguese, so i managed to do it. i only had to check some sources for “liesse” because i’ve never heard it before.

31:45 I don’t think much people understand how amazing this soundtrack really is; maybe because many have forgotten, newer players are starting this event or older players have stopped playing (if you are, I hope you play through the current limited map, I think you’ll really enjoy it)
But I can tell you it really is such a nice gift to the loyal players. Like a gust of nostalgia quickly passing by, you’re hit with the leitmotif of Whispering Seabreeze/Sunshine Beach, one of the original soundtracks from the first Golden Apple Archipelago in 1.6.
God, the first time I entered into the cave south of the 3.8 limited map, I had to take a moment of how grateful I was on embarking genshin’s journey throughout the years.
Even the references to the 2.8 GAA going on those narrated quests really filled me with joy; from fischl’s domain, xinyan’s thorny island and those broken Inazuman ships that once told of Kazuha’s past, I really appreciate Mihoyo recalling past memories. With Fontaine almost here, I can gladly say I’m satisfied to move on again, and i’ll be looking forward to the next limited map 🥲
@@JumpyZ_ this is such a cool find, thank you! I thought the theme was really nice and atmospheric and sounded vaguely familiar, but i never would have guessed it shared a leitmotif with the GAA songs you linked.
1.6 and 2.8 were my favorite patches. the area was beautiful and the music really added to the experience. i'm not sure if 3.8 hits the same but i'm really beginning to warm up to it, partly because of all the songs they included in the mirage.
We may be enjoying the mirage now and not care too much about it, but later in the future we’ll be coming back here again wishing we could play on the map again. Savour every moment you can, like taking photos!

These songs made this event so wholesome, mysterious and magical. I haven't felt this happy, magical fairytale feeling since I was a kid. I thought it was just something I could only experience as a kid because we grow up and have to be tough 🥲 but Genshin (The first GAA event and this one) was able to make me feel like that again. Like I was a kid like Klee again and was happy

that moment of pure joy i got when we rode the jumpy dumpty choo-choo cart klee made, especially on the more winding tracks that switch to a more cinematic camera, really put me in klee's shoes and made me feel like a kid again in the middle of my very stressful final year of college. i can cry of happiness with how fun (but also beautifully sad) this event and its story was

This years Summer Event is a delight and a big part of that is the wonderful soundtrack that comes along with it! Hoyomix has done it again! A lovely mix of tracks that make me feel like I'm in a magical wonderland but also at home. I love how they incorporated Sumeru themed tracks but also whimsical, jazzy and circus themed music!

The music for the Veluriyam Mirage scream "Exposition Universelle" so much. The music feels so surreal, especially when you start to hear them faintly and with an echo as if you're nearing a fair. This event really did so well as a fun precursor to Fontaine.
I really love the "Soothing Nightfall".These musicians deserves to get award for master pieces like these.❤

ahh...this right here is exactly why i picked up this game a couple years ago. the soundtrack knows exactly how & where to hit you in the feels.
One of the things I will never be disappointed in this game is its incredible music. The great diversity it has is what makes this game so special.
For me, 0:00 Euphoric Ride, 2:09 Let's get Started and 18:04 Fantastical fairytale are perfect for Klee's Theme, especially 6:29 Soothing Nightfall for when Klee's going to sleep be like

I just came back from a theme park before this update and honestly the feelings i got from riding this updates rollercoaster really felt somewhat real, it's really weird.
I'm gonna have huge nostalgia of this event. It was simple, cute and awesome. I liked the characters and event characters too, but the OST... Each of them were flawless, really cute, some melancolic and relaxing. I'm gonna miss it a lot. Much love for Klee, Kaeya, Collei, Eula, Kokomi, Idiya, Maymunah, Lessig, the 3 brothers, Zosimos and the Water Droplets.
Me too! I love it so much, the scenery, the gameplay and the character combinations. Kaeya & Kokomi is just epic. I love Kaeya's new outfit too ❤

@@Kei.Kurono it's an event. And I think it's temporary until the event ended. Genshin makes map like this once a year (usually on summer), it's like a holiday inside a game. They're always fun.

Absolute masterpiece. From Golden Apple Archipelago to Veluriyam Mirage, Genshin never disappoints with summer event OST.
The only thing I can complain is most tracks are just criminally short, they should be made into some 4 minute-long full track like the Liyue main theme.
Liyue main theme is an exception, like all country representative themes. Most themes in GI are pretty short.
City themes always are long! Also Liyue main theme second half was only in the Lantern Rite 2021 event, the first half is as short as many themes...

00:31:45 Hit me so hard when I first heard it, because it incorporated notes from one of the past Golden Apple Archipelago's main sountracks, my favourite above all that always makes me cry whenever I hear it: Sunshine Beach. It reminds me of what summer means to me, spending days and days and beautiful, lonely summer evenings with the love of my life on the islands together, and that was all there was in the world. I even got a little music box with Sunshine Beach for my birthday last year, my partner had it specially made for me. It is summer and happiness and melancholic, beautiful nostalgia in a little box. And I will forever keep it with me, even after Genshin might one day disappear - I will still have that little moment and memory with me, always.
When I took the Choo-Choo Cart down south, this beautiful cave was the last thing I expected. I expected yet another happy-go-lucky theme park area. The presence of the music in combination with the desolate depiction of a past long gone, as well as the melancholic beauty of mystery, overwhelmed me in its presence. I just stood there for a good 15 minutes, listening to the soundtrack and taking it all in. The cave was so reminiscent of the old Golden Apple Archipelago underwater mysteries as well, with hidden caves and old murals being core to the story of the first GAA. I'm so glad they incorporated this, as even the smallest bits of content referencing to the older updates will always strike a chord with at least one person who played it and treasured it forever.
i just want to say thank you hoyovers for making this game. It mean so much for me and maybe most of the genshin player in the world to. This soundtrack bring so much memory for me. I remember the first time im downloading genshin in 2021 so i can play with my friend, the first thing i got amazed with is the music. Until now, aside from the story and characther design, im keep pushing myself to playing genshin because of the soundtrack. Hoyovers need to know how much their game change my life into a positive way every time i hear their music. So...once again..thank you very much hoyovers!

Interesting enough, Afrasiab is one of the oldest cities in Asia, now known as Samarkand. It used to be a capital of a great Themurian Empire. Now the city is a part of Uzbekistan. So really, it doesn't have anything to do with Fontaine. Still very good song though.

Number 9 Blissful Little Ditty sounds like its based on Maple Leaf Rag by Scott Joplin. A classic piano song! Though most people will recgonise his more famous work, The Entertainer
