- Alex Pereira just became a two division champion in MMA after just 7 fights in the UFC. His power is undeniable but was his fight against Prochazka stopped too early? Let me know what you think down below.

Alexs distance management is underrated
He gets out of the way enough and minimizes the impact
Exacly. He looks he feel but he's not. And thats the trap.
Why do ALL Brazilian fighters wear yellow? 🤔
@@Ze_MooseIts the Brazilian kit in the UFC
Alex left hook is devastating. He knocks most of his opponents with that left hook. The champ's name is now Alex Pereira.
I totally agree. This was the best step by step analogy so far. With all the right angles and proof of damage. POD. Amazing clarity. Now I agree stoppage was on point.
Agreed 👏
Jiri needs to give Goddard a nice holiday gift this year. Saved him a couple years.
No doubt!!!
@@eddiegarcia7959 no doubt bullshit
@wolfys_artzzz9858 😂alex would have killed him just one more left hook that's it
@@secredeath and how should it happen on the ground? Left hook bullshit, both were on the ground already and Jiri was holding him with both hands ON THE GROUND
@@wolfys_artzzz9858 yea holding for dear life all alex pereira had to do was keep punching or stand up and make the referee stand the fighters up
Not an early stoppage at all when you watch the replay
The first counter was a setting up for the left hook, the rest was basic finish off.
It honestly looks like Pereiras best defence is his attack
Agree, watching it live I thought it was a bit early but after rewatching it it’s good call
That left hook defies the laws of physics
LOL! He got “punched up into the air”. Great breakdown and analysis all the same. And well earned by Alex, I look forward to his next fight- a great sportsman.
Calm down "sparky", it wasn't that funny, it wasn't funny at all, but it was cool.
Nah…I’ll stay hyped- thanks! And yeah, OP’s description was indeed funny!
Ref saves prochaz...
Great job ref....tough guys gets knocked out sometimes...❤
Great job with your break downs
It was just hard to see where he got KOd when it was live. Super easy to see on the replay. And he took the left hook like somebody shot him that was so brutal
I don't know why the commentary was still talking about the stoppage being early after they saw the replay.
Nice analysis!
Great analysis. Also the comments on the stoppage!
Edit: damn 4:42
People screaming "Alex's fans are delusional, Jiri took no damage" while just blatantly ignoring how Jiri went completely limp from those elbows and just collapsed backwards. I'm sure totally-not-unconscious Jiri's plan was definitely "hmmm, let me just fall backwards like a puppet that had its strings cut while I let my opponent get in full mount."
If anything, the narrative that "Jiri was fine" would only make it so Jiri made an absolutely awful decision right at the end of the fight. Rather than what happened...that he was flash KOed. Not to mention they expect the ref to watch a fighter go limp twice in the span of a few seconds while absorbing like 16 shots and just think "eh he'll probably be okay."
good analysis..... good stoppage
hey man I was wondering if you can do a simple video on the cores of mma from boxing to grapple, wrestle submissions..like just cores, your breakdowns are epic
Very nice job
Lol refs obviously knows how much power Alex possesses because they always step in right before his opponent is completely flatlined. Alex is such a vicious striker, so much power. I’m glad the ref jumped in though, I like Jeri and didn’t want to see his career shortened with him layed out flat doing the fish.
Jiří will be back much stronger, better than before. He is not yet in his prime
What the hell are you talking about? He's 31 years old, he's in his prime.
Are you a man or a little worm.. Your answer sounds like our are the second one
Perfect video , congratulacion !
Vídeo perfeito , parabéns pelo trabalho .
He is completely out at that time
2:05 Not an early stoppage
so, no early stoppage
💯 I was so pissed when Rogan and his yes man started saying it was an early stoppage. To this day there are bird brained casuals regurgitating Rogans aweful take.
Fans and every fighter tries saying it was early, when Jiri, at the end, straight up says "At the end I was out" If he can be a man and admit that, then why contradict him and say it was an early stoppage. Let the man say the truth. Not, you, uploader, everyone else
People can and often do ignore what should be uncontestable facts in order to not have to change their minds about something and admit they were wrong.
In my opinion it could've gone a couple seconds longer. Buuuut, I also don't think that any1 discusses the more important aspect of any questionable fight stoppage. The refs responsibility.
Any time the 3rd man steps in that octagon, besides making sure the fight is fought fairly, these guys are ultimately responsible for the well-being of every single fighter.
Hypothetically speaking, if a fighter were to become seriously, gravely or fatally injured...the 1st person everyone is going to be looking at is the ref.
I would say, that alot of these fighters lives are left in these refs hands. And the only one close enough to know how bad things are getting is him. No 1 else.
If these refs take on a major responsibility in terms of protecting the well-being of every fighter. Then id rather see an early stoppage rather than one that goes entirely way too long. The early days of UFCs brutality turned me off from the sport, with fights going too long. But the evolution of it brought me back.
Early stoppages suck and it will always be left to speculation by everyone. I'd say, rather than debate the stoppage, let's give the refs a break. We wanna see all the fighters walk out after a fight & not carried out on a fu¢×!πg gurney.
I still think Prochazka had a few seconds left to recover since he was still pretty coherent. And Jiri saying he backs Goddard decision, even if, in his mind, he truly doesn't agree with Goddard, just means he will always publicly back a refs decision. Because that's the type of dude Jiri is. He just has way too much honor to squabble, complain & bitch about it. It's probably why I like the guy so much.
But I'm def not gonna harp on Goddard for it. He's the one watching out for them.
I do feel bad for Goddard though. Because this just solidifies the Goddard-phobia a lil bit more, that is going around amongst many fighters.
And you know, if the fight went a little longer & Prochazka got his neck broken or swelling on his brain, then everyone would be singing a different song & looking at Goddard for that too. That's a tough job. U can't win either way. I wouldn't want that job. I'm sure it pays great, but a bad day at the office might be someone's life. I don't think anyone ever thinks about this or mentions it anywhere. And it at least should be put out there more often. Ease up on the refs. Refs are the gatekeepers to Valhalla!!!!!
Even jiri said he was out cold
Why do ALL Brazilian fighters wear yellow? 🤔
I don't like this ref😔
Hill can beat him.
Oh really dude? 😂
He was out for a split second, but immediately recovered. He said it in a Czech interview that he regained consciousness as he was falling down and immediately knew he had to move and defend. That's when Goddard stopped the fight. It was a TKO, it deserved to go longer.
Can anyone see, where the "deadly" elbow exactly landed?
Lets be honest alex pereira would have killed him if the fight wasn't stopped
A ko’d opponent with Stones reigning freely is a death sentence to the sport😂
You people are absolutely delusional on the lengths to justify that as a good stoppage. The whole stadium was silent because nobody realized it was over. Your just describing to men in a fight. The elbows did 0 damage and Juri didn’t have a mark on him, he was merely recovering from the one clean punch Alex got. Juri scrambled up fist clinch when he was told the fights over! So he took a decent shot and went for a take down. It was a horrible stoppage otherwise you wouldn’t be trying to justify it with flashy words! If it was so devastating, why did Juri have 0% damage. Everyone initially said it was a bad stoppage immediately after. That’s because it was. Let the UFC stop every fight like that and see how long people pay big money to watch a fight that gets stopped after one punch. Mark Goddard is the worst most inconsistent ref and possibly corrupt even. It makes no sense! Juri would never complain, but he was clearly still ready to fight!
Are you saying damage can only be gauged by how the person's face looks after. You can eat a giant punch right on the Jaw and not have a bruise on you, except get KO'd brutally. Bad logic.
Zero damage? I think you should see the doctor request for Jiri to not return to fighting for an unlimited amount of time.
"Zero damage." The dude literally went limp and fell backwards with his arms down. Yeah, he regained consciousness soon after, but you don't go unconscious from taking "zero damage" lol. Hilarious how you call other people delusional when you have to ignore the bare facts right in front of you in order to hold on to this idea that Jiri was totally fine.
What a foolish referee!!
What a foolish comment 😂
He wasn’t out from the elbows no way could he have recovered so quickly if he was out cold
Yes he woke up quickly but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t out, Jiri HIMSELF said he was out, and you can CLEARLY see his arms going limp after the elbows.
Early stoppage! In the ground, Jiri would recover within a second and Alex is zero on the ground. Your OMG is 😂 because there are so many OMG- KOs without finish😮
Yuri himself said he was out and the stoppage was good. Yuri had nothing for Alex.
@@frankt5987 we will see, just be patient. Jiri got overconfident, 1. round was clear of Jiri and Alex was almost ko and/or submitted
@@wolfys_artzzz9858 we already saw. What are you talking about.
@@frankt5987 yes we saw early stoppage
@@wolfys_artzzz9858 We saw the referee save Yuri’s life. Had he not stopped the fight Alex would have landed more blows to Jiri’s head. You must want him to die lol
Is mma a competition for dullards.
A stoppage is early when a fighter complains to the referee immediately.
This is a war fight and a fighter has to be properly beaten down.
This nonessential view has come into football with VAR.
IS MMA A GAME FOR WEAKLINGS ????
ALLOW FOR A PROPER BEAT DOWN.
THIS IS THE MOST REVOLTING POOR STOPPAGE IN WORLD FIGHTING HISTORY.
still, early stoppage. Ref should've allowed 2 more seconds
😂
You really hate Jirí, don't you?
For what? So Alex could have landed 10 elbows instead of 8?
oh hai there Yamasaki, long time no see
What was Jiri gna do with 2 more seconds? Eat more shots and take more damage on da bottom!
Jiri still holding pereira”s legs! Stupid ref
Goddamn idiot the judge saved jiri's life
Relax 😌, you should be happy jiri didn't get hurt, cause if that ref hadn't stopped the fight it could've been worse, no need for extra blows when the opponent is already down and out
Perfect stoppage 😂😂😂 apparently you dont know nothing about mma 😂😂😂
Apparently and obviously, you don't!!!
And the robbery is Marc Goddard 😮
You know nothing
Says the guy literally high af smoking an eighth in a single blunt in his profile pic
Sober up!!! Wat u smokin anyway!!! Probly that synthetic shit!!!!
It wasn’t a perfect stoppage and he wasn’t unconscious! What are you talking about?
when you drop down to the ground limp twice what do you call it? Unless you think he was pulling an Aljamain Sterling
Jiri said himself he was out but you still contest it what’s wrong with your head 😅😅😅?
Watch the left hook’s effect on Jiris face and how it drives his head upward while his torso followed. The 13 undefended strikes afterward didn’t help him recover as he slumped backward ready to take another volley of undefended shots by a guy who has an unreal amount of power in his hands, and feet also. Ask Jiri’s leg about his feet.
You are delusional!!! What is wrong with u ppl!!!??? Jiri said himself, he was out! So u disagree with Jiri!?
Not early Samuay got no chanse he fight like amater
