The first bit is the intro to an Awkward Duet in Dodie's set, and then she came back on stage in Jon's set to sing this song, which I have had on repeat many times so it was amazing to hear them sing it live!! For those who weren't there, or just want to see it again, here's my recording:)
I recorded part of Awkward duet as well but I stopped halfway to give my full attention to the stage and not my camera haha. I think I recorded this not looking at the camera screen either, sorry if it's a bit wobbly sometimes ;)

The inspiration for that song was because Dodie was supposed to go on this trip to Europe with him but something happened. Shortly after doing this duet they stopped collabing.

Kinueye Ota I think there was something a little bit more than friendship going on with them at some point, but we don’t know for sure if they were ever actually together (I personally don’t think they were). like dodie said in the description box of the video “the story behind a love song / a non love song” that she did with jon - “relationships are not black and white.” personally, i may be completely wrong, but i think they were never really together but it was a little bit more than friendship at some points (hence, “relationships are not black and white,” like “relationships are not, ‘you’re either together or you aren’t’”). but that’s just how i take it
i was watching this video once about jon and dodes which basically was a video in which this person compiled some videos of theirs (jon and dodie’s) and was explaining their supposed relationship - which dodie actually commented on. you should check it out! or don’t, that’s cool too. i’m just a really huge fan of both of them and i do ship them together so i didn’t mind rambling on about them :] i honestly could keep going but that might be too much hahaha
