Really new to 3D printing and just came across this excellent video. Really learned a lot in a short time. I do have one question that I can not find an answer for: Is there a way to trim excess pieces from an object? I'm trying to trim edges from my design but can't find any other way than to spend lots of time cutting it up with tiny hole pieces. For instance: imagine a cookie cutter in the shape of a random flower with a 1 or 2 millimeter edge. I want to spread a thin banner across the entire cookie cutter to add text to it but in order for this rectangle banner to touch the edges there are lots of little pieces hanging over the edge of the flower with weird edges that are hard to get rid of. I definitely don't want to print the overhangs but can't find a way to erase or trim them. Thanks for any help you or your followers can offer but either way, you still have great videos. Cheers

Hey, I appreciate you watching! If you're asking what I think you're asking, I went ahead and made a quick video for you. This is one of the ways I get a thicker ring around the outside of cookie cutters. Hope this helps! I will pin your comment in case someone else has a better or different way they want to share.

@@Avel Thank you so much for making that video. I really appreciate it and the work you put into it.
My issue isn't making the handle wider as we've actually reduced the size from previous cutters. I'm happy with the width of my handle but it doesn't allow me to add a rectanglular banner without unwanted overhang.
I've added a banner across the cutter but because of all the rounded edges it's a pain to use the hole objects to trim the parts that overhang when placing the banner.
There may not be an option for this other than to transfer it into Fusion to trim but I like using TinkerCad and hoping there is a solution.
I've tried to add a couple photos to help show my dilema but I'm not sure how to do that on this medium.
Thanks again and have a great day.
      Cheers
      Brent

I might come tackle this again later, because it's not as quick or easy as I'd like it to be. But here's at least one idea. Thanks for the informative video!
Just wanted to clarify that for the rounded corners on the box, the reason is because when you use the dimensions/scale boxes on the shape itself, the box is being stretched, so any radius applied to it will be stretched too.
When you use the sliders in the shape parameters box, you are actually changing the properties of the primitive shape and that's why any radius applied looks proper, because it's not being stretched and distorted.
