- Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) Piling is the quietest form of piling and is a fast and very economical technique. It is a cast in-situ process, very suited to soft ground where deep casings or use of drilling support fluids might otherwise be needed. CFA piling is a non displacement piling system; hence the soil excavated from the pile is brought to the surface. CFA piles can be an attractive alternative to conventional bored piles (faster installation) and to driven piles (much less noise and vibration).
Thanks for the video, very interesting and clear.
very illustrative video. May I know the tool you've used to create the animation. thanks
Nice videos! Thanks!
we get knowledge of your presentation pile drilling work
U have to vibrate it from top of cage
Better call saul episode 5
Why?
lmao glad i'm not the only one who looks up things said on tv
Good work
I just bought an older tow behind drill rill rig that I was told is for drilling shallow wells and I need more info on because it has solid continuous flight augers, 3" and 2" diameter, two 6' sections of each. They are not hollow for injecting anything down the center of them. It has a single cylinder Wisconsin 6.5 hp motor for the hydraulic assist to raise and lower the drill and a 2 cylinder Wisconsin 18hp motor with some type of transmission made by "Long-Airdox" that the drills are then attached to and driven. Anybody familiar with this? Thanks!
What´s the reason for the very long kelly extension?
Im still quite unsure how the bored hole is cleaned before concrete is pumped in. Is the extraction via the auger alone sufficient to clean the borehole?
Yes
I think there will be a problem while cage lowering. If the cage did not inserted properly.
They mash it down with the excavator and the cage is typically cone shaped on the bottom 3 rings. Plastic wheels are placed on the rings or spirals to keep it centered as it goes down!
0:50 that's clever
Which standard code you can follows sir.
What’s the alternative for cfa pile
Franki piling system
Fabulous video, can I use it on my instagram, to teach my followers
Is casing necessary in cfa piling
Does the auger help to support the bole hole???
No casing. The weight of the concrete holds the hole open. Because it's heavier than water 💧
Auger acts as casing
