I think Carian Greatsword needs a buff because nobody is using it since Adula's Moonblade, it makes Carian Greatsword kinda useless Maybe add some hyperarmor while casting it would be great
I agree with you man, it certainly needs a buff imo. I never see it used at all which is why I started playing around with it during this video. I don’t think it’s useless compared to adulas as it is now tho. Right now it does a very small fraction of damage less than adulas, but the fp cost of greatsword is extremely lower than adulas which is how, I guess they, are justifying it’s current state. However at launch adulas was a completely different beast and the two couldn’t even be compared because adulas was so amazing. I wish they’d give Carian greatsword some hyper armor or add a magic beam to it similar to the frost beam of adulas.
Did you ever try poison mage build? Use kindred of rot exultation and mushroom crown, then eat raw meat dumpling or throw 2 fetid pots and you will gain 30% damage for 20 seconds, really powerful, the damage is insane, I only need 2-3 slicer hits to kill anyone and comet will usually one shot, terrible fashion though
Nah I haven’t. I mean it’s obviously super effective, but I cannot get myself to wear the mushroom crown lol. Also I try to make all my builds have a cohesive theme to them, and a poison creature that shits himself before using magic is not a theme I’m trying to play as 😂

Will you try other schools of sorceries in pvp like thorn sorceries or magma sorceries for example? Sadly it isn't that good and lack too much of variety..
I’ve tried doing a thorn sorcerer before but I like to try to created a themed build and couldn’t pull it off well with only the two sorceries, I hope they add more in the dlc! I haven’t tried magma yet but I’m sure I will at some point!
@@phvntomshawty Any physical sword move is worse than one of the magic sword. Worse range, worse speed, worse power, all at once, only wins in hyper armor. Pretty sure only slicer isn't anti air. And more worse moves isn't much of a factor, the strongest weapon classes only need a single move to dominate a full fledged weapon. This is the case here.
@@glatykoffi6672 yeah like I said I don’t agree. W physical weapons you have so many more ways to switch up and surprise ur opponent. From colossal swords crouch pokes, and access to the reverse backstep and reverse quickstep/bhs tech, perfect blocks, crouch sprinting, and access to tons of ashes of war you can hardswap to at any time the level of skill expression possible, you can’t even get close to that with the 3 sword spells there are
@@glatykoffi6672 For pvp, more moves sets are more important. Anyone can dodge the sword spells because it is the same move all the time. You need those spells to mimic the real swords with no ashes of war or special effects.

I have a question, good sir. Why use tha carian regal scepter in your right hand if you're casting with the azur's ?

It boosts the damage of the sword sorceries, doesn’t matter which one you cast with as long as you’re holding the staff you get the passive benefits.
Oh you said the regal scepter, not the Carian glintstone staff, I only swap my right hand to the scepter when I want to use its ash of war

Quite insane that all the magical swords are tremendously better than their physical counterpart.
I don’t rly agree with that, the physical swords have multilayered move sets + ashes of war, it’s just about how you use them!
