This mod makes me sad. There’s so much potential and so many good ideas to be locked behind an illegal paywall and executed so wonkily. The crucible knights being expanded with a half dozen fights and an intricate final boss is awesome! The drake knight is cool in concept, but the King of the Storm move set is more style than substance, and seems very jankily implemented. The Dragonrider using the Draconic Tree Sentinel’s moveset is inspired, and his little t-rexy drake mount is adorable. Rennala fighting alongside Radagon’s shade is awesome, and makes a bit of sense given she’s just a projection by Ranni. But her outfit and appearance are just awful, lacking all of the dignity of her base game appearance in favor of “look, it’s the Dark Souls outfit!!” The Godskin duo needs to be replaced, but not with a literal reskin of Ornstein and Smough. Speaking of reskins, who wanted an Elden Beast reskin fight against Oedon? Same with the Lady Maria fight (though I will never criticize the beautiful absurdity of “glintlock pistol” And then the whole “temple of time” segment is atrociously lit, full of the most eye-blistering effects I’ve ever seen. The Guardians of Helphen fight is brilliant, and an amazing way to give Bloodborne’s cut content new life. Just a shame.
Well said. Only thing ill add is that some of the new boss attacks, while very cool looking, lack the appropriate amount of forward movement, range, or tracking to ever actually hit someone. Like Rennalas carian granduer attack, or the first boss showcased here, half of its attacks just wiffed the player by a mile. For all the effort put into this mod, its held back by many blatant design oversights. Wouldn’t care half as much if there wasnt a paywall latched on to it.
Yeah, I hate to be that guy but Convergence does the quality of the bosses so much better. They're not perfect by any means but the main thing I noticed when watching the video is that all the bosses with new movesets have instantaneous attacks all over the place with little-to-no actually choreography in favour of giving us the Bloodborne dodge. You're right in saying Rennala was ugly and undignified with her Zullie outfit, especially since Zullie is a witch who made Alva forget his duty, not a well-respected woman abandoned by her husband for a stronger queen. The Vessel of Time boss just looks like absolute janky shit and I can't see what it's doing at all, and I'm only watching. It's harder to know what's happening when you're fighting because you have to respond. Garden of Eyes is quantity and Dark Souls/Bloodborne fanbaiting over quality. Don't get me wrong, there's some good stuff here. I agree on the Guardians of Helphen, and seeing the variety in Crucible Knights is inspired and I'd have loved that sort of thing in base game but my god, some of these are awful.

Idk how the DLC will affect the mini divergences from Canon they have, but personally I'm wsiting for spiral incants besides just 2 arcs and Spira. We might even get spiral sorceries, since the spells are all called sorceries in descriptions, pure Int and Int/Arc lack Holy
To be honest. This mod looks like total garbage. This is nothing but lazy recolors from previous games but with additional flashy particle effects. Not to mention that some reskinned bosses look really out of place in Elden Ring. This mod feels like when you were a child playing with action figures from many different media and smash them together. The worst part is that this is behind a paywall. Frankly, it's just bizarre to me that a modder would risk serious legal trouble to lock a mod behind his patreon when he could just make it free like Convergence and likely obtain more money through donations than he does now with Patreon, therefore avoiding legal trouble, and also have people compliment his work and his effort. Instead he decided to ruin his own reputation both with other modders, and the community as a whole for some money. Just weird.
I know nothing about this mod or it’s creator(s) outside of this video, but from what I’ve seen… it has a lot of really cool concepts and ideas using already established boss movesets and models. I wish there was just more unique animations. This mod almost reminds me of the DS3 Archthrones mod in the way they combine bosses. But that mod felt a lot more polished. It looks like a pain to fight some of these bosses. I just feel like there should have been more. Just… more. Also: Why is the Nameless King and Gael just there? Completely unchanged? As regular bosses? Cmon! It would’ve been so cool to at least rename the Nameless King! Imagine if he was called: “The Forgotten Elden Lord” or something like that and he has more moves. I don’t know.
The creator also made a paywall to get the mod, and he is generally known to be kinda scummy when it comes to this mod and just making "better" versions of bosses that are actually just way overtuned with visuals. Garden of Eyes tries to fit these custom bosses into Elden Ring, but as others have said, they didn't do a good job of integrating moves and animations, and the bosses they try to make seem like Elden Ring characters don't have lore that stands up to the actual lore they're trying to fit into. So a lot of coming up with their own ideas that aren't anything beyond half-baked, and their new additions end up seemingly lazy as a result. It all wouldn't be so bad if the mod didn't cost money. Convergence reuses models and moves as well, but the bosses there are usually much more polished, with the reused and custom animations and movesets working properly and smoothly, not to mention all the new spells and mechanics in Convergence are integrated very well, from my experience. And the cherry on top is that Convergence is free. Convergence also makes lore for custom bosses, but for the most part they fit decently well in the game without contradicting anything, even if it still feels like fan characters rather than actual Fromsoft characters. Replacing Godskin Duo with a reskinned lion enemy reworked into a beastman? Makes sense for Farum Azula. Making the Liurnia Divine Tower into a really cool mini-dungeon with windmill ladies, blackflame monks, and the custom Godskin Matriarch boss at the top, using Ranni's death rune to fuel the Blackflame's power? Makes sense with the Godskin lore. So yeah, I'd just stick with Convergence, unless Garden of Eyes removes the stupid paywall stops being a scumbag, and actually does something with all the good potential this mod has. I haven't done too much research into Garden if Eyes, but I've seen a lot of people reference the paywall as "illegal" so I wonder what that's about. Every other mod I've gotten for Elden Ring has been free. Idk. Sorry for writing so much lol
@@fathercosmic8061 basically the entire mod is just a reskin of souls assets because it's somehow impossible to add custom animations and stuff. you can incorporate assets and modify hitboxes since there are mods that literally turn you into luffy, but ultimately the modding is very limited. in the first boss they just turned the fire breath into a short burst from the madness spell. they did an incredible job working with what they had, but locking an asset flip under a paywall is no good
Crazy to me how many people are glazing this mod. The illegal paywall, rampant reused animations, unanimated wings, visual clutter, reskins, etc. didn't turn y'all off? Also why is a godskin using a blunt weapon? and why would they ever need to slay a dragon? Devonia's (this mod didn't age well) wrist breakage and weirdly animated wings/ jump attacks, for example, are hard to read. She also hits you with the flat side of the axes often. Also, I don't think I need to explain why a fell flame crucible knight is absurd.
Oedon being given a boss fight and being a remodel of elden beast looks so delicously Bloodborne-y and I am so here for it. Also, Morgotts extra dialogue is so good. I wish mlre bosses had mid fight voice lines, it adds so much more emotion and flavour to the fight. Imagine if Godrick had voice lines instead of just laughter, where he rants more about his birthright of being the lord of gold, or Maliketh talking more about how Marikas betrayal hurt him.

My favorite part about watching this video over and over is trying to think of what boss patterns the creator used. Like a "Who's that Pokemon!" for FromSoftware bosses. I still can't figure out a few of em.
This has probably been said a thousand times, but this is a great example of great potential ruined by greed, this mod has true ambition behind it but the one simple move to illegally hide it behind a paywall ruins it so much, I truly believe if the mod was made by a better creator it would rival convergence and reforged
When Promised Consort leaked, I was among the many people who suspected it was some kind of GOE clickbait trick. It was unfinished, and giving Radahn bloodflame and pairing him with Miquella seems like exactly the sort of thing he would make lol. No one could have predicted he would be using Mohg’s body, and honestly the game didn’t do nearly enough with such an interesting idea. Obviously that was giving him far too much credit. There are some ideas I like in the mod, like diversifying Crucible Knights, Guardians of Helphen, and a blue glintstone corrupted into red glintstone boss, but it gets way too fanficky and blatantly referential for my liking.
So literally the first 14 seconds and it's literally just a regular Omen enemy that just has Frenzy added onto it. Kinda lazy if you ask me. But what can you expect from an illegal paywall?

You know after seeing all the bosses in this mod. Sure most seem the be reskinned. But some of them look great. I just hate the fact that it's a paywall mod. A scam that had so much potential. What really gets me irked though is that they lied as well. For the Crucible Knights. We were gonna get 16 UNIQUE Crucible Knight boss fights with the Titan there as the final boss of that quest. But instead we got 4. I mean that had so much potential to be amazing. Plus there's also the fact that Devonia is now canon thanks to the DLC and the new Crucible Knight spells. So they would have to either change the name of Devonia and some stuff or something.

Why are the shadows in the background moving at mach 6? 1:29:37 why did it glow yellow and purple here? 1:30:14 why did everything turn green? 1:31:27 what is happening here?! This fight just has no clue what it wants to be, and it just looks frustrating as hell The attacks make no sense, theres no hint that his attacks are going to be full arena AoE's, and it just looks frustrating to learn
I gotta say there is promise to this mod and it needs some quality polish. It's just unfortunate that its behind an illegal paywall. Thinking of this as a paid product, this is just a bunch of reskins and model rips from other games. A lot of the "new" attacks from bosses just seem to have bullet hell in mind rather than have any breathing room or a chance to learn attack patterns. If it weren't for the paywall or how the mod author just puts seamless coop mod in it without credit to the original author or even a cut in that paywall income i would have checked this out, but im not going to support scumbag practices.
i'm in the second fight of the video and i already dislike this mod, taking the original moveset of the Crucible Knights was ok, but adding delay to attacks that didn't have it before and upping reaction time on the boss to make one of the most aggressive enemies in the game even more aggressive seemed SO bad for me, dear lord, i would be fuming if it was me playing this and i saw how almost unfair this boss is. Also, using Fortissax soundtrack for a Crucible knight was kinda lame imo

To my understanding The Garden of Eyes teams real sin is stealing mods and just ever so slightly changing it. Honestly guys like Cleaver Raptor who as much as I love his mods, doesn't actually charge for them which mind you also is something I love but it has ruined people into thinking that modders should be expected to make mods without expecting to be paid for their work when people go on and on about how easy it is to mod the game and how these mods aren't all that impressive at all but I bet none of them could even begin to just add half of these mods if they weren't made in such a fashion that it could be basically Plug and Play
Ultimately I still agree fuck Garden of eyes but at the same time I also think all the people complaining about the paywall portion are just being kind of dumb and rather selfish about it expecting all modders to do it for free and the pure thought of just them wanting to make the mod and that expecting payment for doing so and uploading it for others to use as well is just the highest utmost sin.

Frankly, it's just bizarre to me that a modder would risk serious legal trouble to lock a mod behind his patreon when he could just make it free like Convergence and likely obtain more money through donations than he does now with Patreon, therefore avoiding legal trouble, and also have people compliment his work and his effort. Instead he decided to ruin his own reputation both with other modders, and the community as a whole for some money. Just weird.
I know nothing about this mod or it’s creator(s) outside of this video, but from what I’ve seen… it has a lot of really cool concepts and ideas using already established boss movesets and models. I wish there was just more unique animations.
This mod almost reminds me of the DS3 Archthrones mod in the way they combine bosses. But that mod felt a lot more polished. It looks like a pain to fight some of these bosses.
I just feel like there should have been more. Just… more.
Also: Why is the Nameless King and Gael just there? Completely unchanged? As regular bosses?

The creator also made a paywall to get the mod, and he is generally known to be kinda scummy when it comes to this mod and just making "better" versions of bosses that are actually just way overtuned with visuals. Garden of Eyes tries to fit these custom bosses into Elden Ring, but as others have said, they didn't do a good job of integrating moves and animations, and the bosses they try to make seem like Elden Ring characters don't have lore that stands up to the actual lore they're trying to fit into. So a lot of coming up with their own ideas that aren't anything beyond half-baked, and their new additions end up seemingly lazy as a result. It all wouldn't be so bad if the mod didn't cost money. Convergence reuses models and moves as well, but the bosses there are usually much more polished, with the reused and custom animations and movesets working properly and smoothly, not to mention all the new spells and mechanics in Convergence are integrated very well, from my experience. And the cherry on top is that Convergence is free. Convergence also makes lore for custom bosses, but for the most part they fit decently well in the game without contradicting anything, even if it still feels like fan characters rather than actual Fromsoft characters. Replacing Godskin Duo with a reskinned lion enemy reworked into a beastman? Makes sense for Farum Azula. Making the Liurnia Divine Tower into a really cool mini-dungeon with windmill ladies, blackflame monks, and the custom Godskin Matriarch boss at the top, using Ranni's death rune to fuel the Blackflame's power? Makes sense with the Godskin lore. So yeah, I'd just stick with Convergence, unless Garden of Eyes removes the stupid paywall stops being a scumbag, and actually does something with all the good potential this mod has.
I haven't done too much research into Garden if Eyes, but I've seen a lot of people reference the paywall as "illegal" so I wonder what that's about. Every other mod I've gotten for Elden Ring has been free. Idk.

@@fathercosmic8061 basically the entire mod is just a reskin of souls assets because it's somehow impossible to add custom animations and stuff. you can incorporate assets and modify hitboxes since there are mods that literally turn you into luffy, but ultimately the modding is very limited. in the first boss they just turned the fire breath into a short burst from the madness spell. they did an incredible job working with what they had, but locking an asset flip under a paywall is no good

Crazy to me how many people are glazing this mod. The illegal paywall, rampant reused animations, unanimated wings, visual clutter, reskins, etc. didn't turn y'all off? Also why is a godskin using a blunt weapon? and why would they ever need to slay a dragon? Devonia's (this mod didn't age well) wrist breakage and weirdly animated wings/ jump attacks, for example, are hard to read. She also hits you with the flat side of the axes often. Also, I don't think I need to explain why a fell flame crucible knight is absurd.

Oedon being given a boss fight and being a remodel of elden beast looks so delicously Bloodborne-y and I am so here for it.
Also, Morgotts extra dialogue is so good. I wish mlre bosses had mid fight voice lines, it adds so much more emotion and flavour to the fight. Imagine if Godrick had voice lines instead of just laughter, where he rants more about his birthright of being the lord of gold, or Maliketh talking more about how Marikas betrayal hurt him.

When Promised Consort leaked, I was among the many people who suspected it was some kind of GOE clickbait trick. It was unfinished, and giving Radahn bloodflame and pairing him with Miquella seems like exactly the sort of thing he would make lol. No one could have predicted he would be using Mohg’s body, and honestly the game didn’t do nearly enough with such an interesting idea.
Obviously that was giving him far too much credit. There are some ideas I like in the mod, like diversifying Crucible Knights, Guardians of Helphen, and a blue glintstone corrupted into red glintstone boss, but it gets way too fanficky and blatantly referential for my liking.
So literally the first 14 seconds and it's literally just a regular Omen enemy that just has Frenzy added onto it.
Kinda lazy if you ask me. But what can you expect from an illegal paywall?

You know after seeing all the bosses in this mod. Sure most seem the be reskinned. But some of them look great. I just hate the fact that it's a paywall mod. A scam that had so much potential.
What really gets me irked though is that they lied as well. For the Crucible Knights. We were gonna get 16 UNIQUE Crucible Knight boss fights with the Titan there as the final boss of that quest. But instead we got 4. I mean that had so much potential to be amazing. Plus there's also the fact that Devonia is now canon thanks to the DLC and the new Crucible Knight spells. So they would have to either change the name of Devonia and some stuff or something.

This fight just has no clue what it wants to be, and it just looks frustrating as hell
The attacks make no sense, theres no hint that his attacks are going to be full arena AoE's, and it just looks frustrating to learn
I gotta say there is promise to this mod and it needs some quality polish. It's just unfortunate that its behind an illegal paywall. Thinking of this as a paid product, this is just a bunch of reskins and model rips from other games. A lot of the "new" attacks from bosses just seem to have bullet hell in mind rather than have any breathing room or a chance to learn attack patterns. If it weren't for the paywall or how the mod author just puts seamless coop mod in it without credit to the original author or even a cut in that paywall income i would have checked this out, but im not going to support scumbag practices.

i'm in the second fight of the video and i already dislike this mod, taking the original moveset of the Crucible Knights was ok, but adding delay to attacks that didn't have it before and upping reaction time on the boss to make one of the most aggressive enemies in the game even more aggressive seemed SO bad for me, dear lord, i would be fuming if it was me playing this and i saw how almost unfair this boss is.
Also, using Fortissax soundtrack for a Crucible knight was kinda lame imo

Many combinations of crucible knights and some of the tarnished moveset for some weapons
To my understanding The Garden of Eyes teams real sin is stealing mods and just ever so slightly changing it. Honestly guys like Cleaver Raptor who as much as I love his mods, doesn't actually charge for them which mind you also is something I love but it has ruined people into thinking that modders should be expected to make mods without expecting to be paid for their work when people go on and on about how easy it is to mod the game and how these mods aren't all that impressive at all but I bet none of them could even begin to just add half of these mods if they weren't made in such a fashion that it could be basically Plug and Play
Ultimately I still agree fuck Garden of eyes but at the same time I also think all the people complaining about the paywall portion are just being kind of dumb and rather selfish about it expecting all modders to do it for free and the pure thought of just them wanting to make the mod and that expecting payment for doing so and uploading it for others to use as well is just the highest utmost sin.
