No more transitioning for me.. I HATED IT!
I transitioned for 1 year and 4 months. I can truly say I LOVE MY NATURAL HAIR!

You look great!!! I big chopped sooner than I planned for the same reason. I was struggling big time caring for my hair just because I wanted to hold on to dead hair that I didn't even want anymore. As soon as I cut that mess off caring for my hair was much easier. I was only mad that I didn't go natural sooner because my hair looks better now than it ever did relaxed.

omg yas, im so happy for you i just chopped some off transitioning sucks but once you cut it you get mesmerized by the curl and bounce. It is so freeing

I'll big Chop again! I was 2yr natural,but i tappered cut my hair. And i hated! So i decided to big Chop again,but i'll use a protective style and start a new regimen

Just subscribed! Your fro looks amazing! I am 17 months post. I didnt set an exact date as to when I would big chop. I decided to let my hair tell me. So far everything is going good. I did go from mid back length to shoulder length for an easier transition. If its not done by my 2 years post, I'm cutting it off !

It looks really cute! Even though I did not do the "big chop", I took my braids out which I had in for over 20 years. It really damaged my hair. When I took them out for good, it felt so liberating. I will come back for updates. Check out mine for updates.

Yes I did. I would take a section of my braids out, then immediately re-braid.

You're too cute, I love the new hair! I big chopped 2 years ago, I did transition for a year. That line of demarcation line was killing me so I chopped and I had pieces of relaxer in and I went back in and went chop crazy. That was the shortest I've ever had my hair and I loved it. Hubby didn't like the TWA stage that much but he was super supportive.

I plan on big chopping July 2018. My last relaxer was July 4, 2016. I love watching big chop videos though, because it looks so liberating. This will be my second time going natural, i think i'll stay natural this time around.

I transitioned for a year and a half I wanted to go longer but I began to be over it and right now I have color damage and I'm trying to transition it out but trimming every other month or trying to wait two more months is getting annoying to me so I think next month I am just going to chop it off lol for the third time I ain't messing with my hair no more 😂😩

I probably couldn't big chop if my hair was as long as yours lol I only had like 7 inches of hair when I big chopped 7 months ago now it's almost back to that length
