Blacksmithing - Forging Fullers with
Vložit
- čas přidán 2. 05. 2023
- My friend Nils Ögren showed up and we decided to make a top and bottom fuller. We didn't plan much, instead we made design decisions along the way. These tools are primarily used when forging with a striker to isolate or set down a section of material.

I am sitting in the corner of the smithy, all cozy, and am just watching and listening to the sounds and I feel safe. Thank you both!

5:14 - I got very excited when I thought he was going to make a magic fuller for twisting and cutting at the same time😂
Thought for sure that was gonna be a "We've been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty" joke lmao
Haha... I better stop snapping my fingers...
My god… I can’t get over how awesome that power hammer is…
I built a heavy sledgehammer on a treadle/pulley mechanism so I could put different hammerheads on the handle… but idk if I could get it to be as powerful as hydraulics.
Nice collaboration. Sometimes two hands aren't enough.
Thanks. Indeed, two hands are seldom enough!
Teamwork makes the dream work. Great video.
I'm a sucker for languages, and getting to watch you two work while speaking your native tongue was a serious treat!
Cool! I bet my next video will suit you as well then!
love the comedy, very funny, always "A" grade work with beautiful design pairing perfectly with function. A true master craftsman here, take note......"This is what qualifies as a master in their trade.

Passing on technology is important. May your wonderful skills be passed on to the next generation.
Good to see you pull a mate in to help when needed. Lovely work from the both of you.
Great work! The video was very entertaining and easy to watch.
What a treat having two craftsmen working together! 👍👍
One thing I learned from my father, is to grind off mushrooming steel from the chisel head, or it might send out peices of steel at high velocity, hitting your body. At least 150..200 m/s. A hit in the eye might devastade your eye.
Yes, definitely good advice!
Teamwork is Dreamwork. Nice collaboration, terrific fun and excellent videography. Fullers are fantastic and work a treat. Thank you Both for the fun ride! ~PJ
😊👍
Great video as always, and great craftsmanship! If I had to buy one of the tools you make I wouldn't use it: I would exhibit it as a work of art, I'm not kidding! You are a MASTER !!!
Thanks!

Team work is the best work. And it's fun to do :)
😁😁😁 As usual, great execution.
That was good. I love the magic and clowning around which does little to hide the immense skill.

Very nice. It's good to have good help
Artistry in motion. Almost like listening to some harmonic music and watching beautiful nature scenes. Need to get that Tubal-cain flowing in the blood.
What a great work !
thank you my friend...
9:16 so smooth
😎
Nice set of fullers boys, well done, enjoyed.
Loved it! Apart from the metalworking, what i liked most on this video is that with the modern machinery some crafts are one man show. But this video, remind us that forging as many crafts its a work of two or more people working in full harmony (parallel hammer hitting like Damascus foundries). A master and apprentice, an ancient idea, worked for thousands of years, in most of the crafts. We are trying to erease dependence on other people when people are all we need. But alas, when technology goes dark, the old ways come up. The old ways, never die, they remind us we once as spieces crawled before we walked. You didn't made collaboration, you made poetry for anyone who can understand. Thank you!
Thank you so much. Yes I guess you're right, and it's sad.
Instead of bringing two cans of beer, they bring beer and some cylinders of AISI 4340 steel
Great to see you two working together!
Want one! Rite Torbjorn n Nilsogren Dudes, My Dad used to say to me "son when I nod my head you hit it". He never did know why he woke up in hospital🤣TFS, GB :)
😉
Yes, that was fun. Well done 👍
awesome work as always!
Goooood...👍
Two of my favorite youtube smiths!
My favourite blacksmiths working together, great video,👍. Do you live in the same neighbourhood? Nice to see you cooperating together on a project, enjoyed hearing you communicate in Swedish as well. Looking forward to Nils dropping in for more videos. Regards from Down Under.
Cool, thanks! No, we live quite far away actually, but Nils has family not too far from me.
Lovely work, It is good to see you swap lead hands on the sledge hammer...I am left handed but my power swing is with the left hand down the shaft and lead hand is the right one..
Thank you! I don't think there is a right or wrong using the sledge. Just use what is comfortable. You work it out after a while.
If it ain"t fun...Why Bother. Kudos for making learning fun.
I've been watching you for years, the quality of the content is definitely increasing, don't stop👍
Thanks!
TÅ & NØ - Totally Åwesome & Number Øne!
