- So, it's time for Diana to revisit the mac world after... gosh, don't even know how long it's been! But here we go, trying out Sierra now and in 5 episodes from now, she will be DESTROYING IT! So look forward to that :)

Impossibly unfortunately, this is a known issue with macOS in Vmware, the maps app doesn't work either.

Indeed. I had it running on my main (work) laptop (Xeon E3/32GB) and all that power matters not due to no dGPU access.

How do you get mac os Sierra on a virtual machine I want a mac but I don't want to pay for a mac so I could do it on Windows I just don't know how though.

Just use hackintosh zone.
Since your mom often likes the default desktop backgrounds of these operating systems, but seems to have some preferences about desktop backgrounds, you should consider setting the backgrounds for operating systems and distros she tests to an all black background, or just something awful. Then she's guaranteed to attempt to change the desktop background, and while she does you can take a look at the default one.

No QE/CI? (dock and menu bar aren't translucent) For the destruction, you should try the nvidia web drivers for QE/CI. If you're using a VM, try the tools first though. Or use your slow as molasses Core 2 Duo MacBook and install Sierra on it.
And how did you get launchpad to start fast without graphics acceleration? Usually launchpad is laggy as hell without graphics acceleration.

How did you get ur VM work? Cause VirtualBox Won't Work For Me!
Use hackintosh and if you use amd type in /amd -v -f -x npci=0x3000 when you have the amd capable hackintosh ISO. Make sure you use yosemite first because you can download it as an ISO file. The rest are dmg and cant be used in vbox.
The usage I could see for the video on your desktop thing is distance learning. Watching lecture videos while typing notes in a word processor.

Use hackintosh and use the yosemite zone so it downloads as an iso and then use virtualbox since it comes with support for macintosh.

I do very little drag and drop of anything and prefer to use keyboard key commands and combinations; much quicker and more precise.
You should find out what the oldest os for both phone and pc/Mac that you can reasonably use daily
There is also TextEdit (it's built-in) which is like notepad for mac

You need to install a VMWare mod to get this working, I installed it months ago though so I don't remember the details.

Adam install virtualbox, if your mobo supports hardware virtualization, you will have options up to Sierra, else only up to snow leopard

Search for a CZcams channel called Techsviewer. They have tutorials on how to install in both virtual box and VMware. They also provide the download links to the needed files.

How did you get that to work in the VM? I can only use it with 128mb graphics memory, and it's very ugly...
VMware does allow more but it forces you to use part of the guest operating systems regular RAM as graphics RAM

No, I use VMware Workstation.
Use virtualbox and hackintosh zone. Also there is spftware available to smooth the performance out. It still isnt as smooth as true macintosh but its as close as virtualization can get.

how do you install macos in VM ware? I can't do it. I installed something to add it as an option but when I run it, it asks about drive partitions and refuses to let me add it properly and refuses to run

In that case, you may be able to find a pre-setup vmware image that has mac os installed. It should also come with a mod (you need to patch VMWare) that allows it to boot in vmware.
OSFirstTimer yes I already patched vmware to run macos however it gets to the installation screen and whether I add two drives or not it only comes up with one and states this drive can't be used to install the OS. I'll check again in a few mins once I get my PC on.
OSFirstTimer OK I forgot last time I uninstslled it. I just tried re adding it. I have a OS mavericks running on Mac OS 10.9 which may be incorrect and when I boot it now it instantly gives an error log and closes. I have no idea how to grt Mac OS to work

You need to install a VMWare mod that allows mac operating systems to boot, sorry it's been a while since I actually installed it, but you can find the answer on google.

It depends on hardware but use vbox and hackintosh zone. And allocate all cores and 128 mb vram and 4096mb ram and it works pretty well. You need to use as much ram as possible though.
