The pious predecessors used to say, nothing establishes that connection like Qiyam Al-Layl, it’s too busy throughout the day, there’s too much going on, there is nothing that connects a person to Allah like the Qiyam Al-Layl, because Allah S mentions that he descends at that time in a way that befits his majesty, he’s calling out to you, and he’s saying, who wants to come close to me, it’s not restricted for some religious people somewhere in the world, no, the broken, the sinner, the person who’s trying to be righteous, that’s your time to get close to Allah S,

I have got what i've asked for in Tahajjud prayers. Literally which i thought is nearly impossible. Subhan'Allah. For some reason i couldn't perform it all these years but i've started praying again. Insha'Allah to all brothers and sisters who have started who wanna start insha'Allah please i request you to pray and you will not regret and all your legitimate desires will be fullfilled. Sleep early, when praying ur 5 prayers at the end ask allah to invite you to tahajjud because you have important things you want to ask for from him, may allah help you

Tahajjud will never fail you
We have to pray tahajjud for ourselves first before we pray for anyone else. Before I get the negative comments. It's 416 am in brooklyn ny. I'm getting ready for tahajjud salat. So please my comment was not negative. I just know the struggles of waking up for it. Asalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatu brothers and sisters. May allahu s.w.t. grant us peace and wealth to all of us.

Masyaallah indeed, everyday i couldn't wait for the last third of the night come, and when the that times come.
And perform 3-2 hours sholat,make a lot of istighfar, dua ect. Is always not enough.

How to determine the time of tahajjud?

Wake up 30 minutes - 1 hour before fajr prayer starts and that is when Allah SWT is at the lowest heaven. That is the best time to pray tahajjud InshAllah

Can someone simplify tahajud for me?

Tahajud is the night prayers.
The time frame is from after Isha prayers and ends before Fajr time. You can pray it after Isha prayers but it will be termed as qiyam al lail (night prayers)
Tahajud is more challenging because you have to sleep first and wake up any time before Fajr.
If you are living in the tropical countries the time is quite regular.
However if you live in countries with summer and winter times the time differ.
If you want the best time would be 30-60 minutes before Fajr.
As for the prayers you can pray 2 rakaats, beginning with dua iftitah, followed by surah AL Fatihah and any surah you already memorize, then complete one rakaat with rukuk, sujood, sitting in between sujood and sujood again to complete your first rakaat.
Then you get up to perform the second rakaat reciting AL fatihah and another surah.
Make rukuk and sujood, sitting in between sujood and final sujood. You complete your prayers by reading the tashahud and end up with tasleem.
After you are done with the tahajud prayers you can pray the witr prayers.
