The prophet (S) said: “The lord descends every night to the lowest heaven when one-third of the night remains and says: ‘Who will call upon me, that I may answer him? Who will ask of me, that I may give him? Who will seek my forgiveness, that I may forgive him?’” [Bukhari]. Imam Ash-Shafi’ee used to say, the dua made at tahajjud is like an arrow which does not miss its target.

A person said “Allahuakbar” seconds later said “La ilaha illallah” immediately after said “La illaha illa Anta subhanaka inni kuntu min-adh-zalimeen” again few seconds said “SubhanAllah”. This way lots of good deeds were earned. This person is you ♥

By Allah, Tahajjud will change your life for the better. You will find your dīn easier and stronger. Voluntary prayers begin with Tahajjud, and try to pray Duha, Salatul Awwabeen (6 rak'ahs after Maghrib), and Salatut Tasbih (where you recite سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَ x 300) everyday, or whenever you have time. Make niyyah that you will, and Allah willing, you will find time for it.
    1. It was narrated from Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever performs six Rak’ah after the Maghrib and does not say anything bad in between them, will have a reward equal to the worship of twelve years.” (Tirmidhi)
    2. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to al-Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib, "Abbas, my uncle, shall I not give you, shall I not present to you, shall I not donate to you, shall I not produce for you ten things? If you act upon them, Allah will forgive you your sins, first and last, old and new, involuntary and voluntary, small and great, secret and open.
These are the ten things: you should pray four rak'ahs, reciting in each one Fatihat al-Kitab and a surah. When you finish the recitation of the first rak'ah you should say fifteen times while standing: "Glory be to Allah", "Praise be to Allah", "There is no god but Allah", "Allah is most great". Then you should bow and say it ten times while bowing. Then you should raise your head after bowing and say it ten times. Then you should kneel down in prostration and say it ten times while prostrating yourself. Then you should raise your head after prostration and say it ten times. Then you should prostrate yourself and say it ten times. Then you should raise your head after prostrating and say it ten times in every rak'ah. You should do that in four rak'ahs.
If you can observe it once daily, do so; if not, then once weekly; if not, then once a month; if not, then once a year; if not, then once in your lifetime." (Abu Dawud)
    3. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “In the morning, every single joint of yours must pay a sadaqah (charity). Every SubhanAllah is a sadaqah, every Alhamdulillāh is a sadaqah, every La Ilaha Illa Allah is a sadaqah, every Allahu Akbar is a sadaqah, every commanding good is a sadaqah, and every forbidding evil is a sadaqah, and all this is accomplished through two rakʿahs one can pray in Duha (prayer).”

I just want to remind anyone who is worrying about something that is out of their control that worrying won’t change the situation.
We sit and ruminate over issues that Allah has complete control over as if He will find it difficult to take us out of it. If He managed to create this world and everything in it, a problem that one of His slaves is struggling with is nothing to Him. He can decide to remove you from the trial any second but you must take the means.
Make lots of Tawbah, make dua, and cut off sins that you’re persistent in. May Allah help us and bring ease to our hearts.
Allah doesn’t burden us with what we can’t handle. He is how His slave sees Him so have full trust that He is merciful and will remove you from these trials and He will do exactly that.

    What is Tahajjud?
Tahajjud means specifically praying at night, and some scholars limited it to prayers that are offered at night after sleeping.
Al-Hajjaj ibn ‘Amr al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One of you thinks that if he gets up at night and prays until morning comes that he has done tahajjud. But in fact tahajjud means praying after sleeping, then praying after sleeping. That is how the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah upon him) prayed. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said in al-Talkhees al-Habeer (2/35): “Its isnad is hasan; it includes Abu Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, and it is somewhat weak. It was also narrated by al-Tabarani, whose isnad includes Ibn Luhay‘ah, whose report is supported by the one that came before it.”
Difference between tahajjud and qiyam al-layl
Thus it becomes clear that qiyam al-layl is more general than tahajjud , because it includes prayer and other actions, and it includes prayer before and after sleeping.
But tahajjud is exclusively praying, and there are two opinions concerning it. The first is that it means praying at any time of the night, which is the view of the majority of fuqaha.
The second is that it is prayer after sleeping. (Al-Mawsoo‘ah al-Fiqhiyyah, 2/232)
Al-Qurtubi (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his commentary on the verse (interpretation of the meaning): “And in some parts of the night (also) offer the Salaah (prayer) with it (i.e. recite the Quran in the prayer) as an additional prayer (Tahajjud optional prayer Nawâfil) for you (O Muhammad). It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqâm Mahmûd (a station of praise and glory, i.e., the honour of intercession on the Day of Resurrection)” [al-Isra 17:79]:
Tahajjud comes from hujood, which is doing one thing and the opposite, so the word hajada may mean he slept or it may mean he stayed up at night, which are opposites.
Tahajjud means waking up after sleeping, and it became a name for prayer, because the individual wakes up for it. So tahajjud means getting up to pray at night. This meaning was given by al-Aswad, ‘Ilqimah, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad and others.
Ismaa‘eel ibn Ishaq al-Qadi narrated from the hadeeth of al-Hajjaj ibn ‘Amr, the Companion of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah upon him) that he said: Does one of you think that if he gets up and spends the entire night in prayer that he had prayed tahajjud? Rather tahajjud is praying after sleeping, then praying after sleeping, then praying after sleeping. This is how the Messenger of Allah (blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) prayed.
And it was said tahajjud means sleep, as it is said in Arabic, Tahajjada al-rajul, meaning the man stayed up, and alqa al-hujood, i.e., sleep. And the one who gets up to pray is called mutahajjid.” ( Tafseer al-Tabari, 10/307)

    Way to jannatul firdaus❤
Among the most important deeds that will help the Muslim attain high status, and may help him to attain al-Firdaws al-A‘la, by Allah’s mercy, are the following:
·Jihad for the sake of Allah
We have quoted above the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) which speaks of that.
Muslim narrated in his Saheeh (1884) from Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “O Abu Sa‘eed, whoever is content with Allah as his Lord, Islam as his religion and Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as his Prophet, Paradise is guaranteed for him.” Abu Sa‘eed wondered at that and said: Say it to me again, O Messenger of Allah. He did that, then he said: “And there is something else by means of which a person will be raised one hundred levels in Paradise, and the distance between each two levels is like the distance between heaven and earth.” He said: What is it, O Messenger of Allah? He said: “Jihad for the sake of Allah, jihad for the sake of Allah.”
    ·Sincerity towards Allah
Muslim (1909) narrated from Sahl ibn Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever sincerely asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah will cause him to attain the status of the martyrs, even if he dies in his bed.”
An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
This indicates that it is mustahabb to ask Allah for martyrdom and it is mustahabb to have good intentions. End quote.
·Belief in Allah and in His Messengers
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Verily! Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous deeds, shall have the Gardens of Al-Firdaws (the Paradise) for their entertainment”
    [al-Kahf 18:107].
    As-Sa‘di said:
It may be that what is meant by the Gardens of al-Firdaws is the highest part of Paradise, the middle and the best thereof, and that this reward is for the one who perfected his faith and righteous deeds, and for the Prophets and those who are nearest to Allah.
Or it may be that what is meant is all the levels of Paradise, so this reward includes all levels of people of faith, including those who are nearest to Allah, the righteous, and ordinary believers, each according to his condition.. This is more likely to be the meaning, because of its general nature.
End quote from Tafseer as-Sa‘di (488).
It was narrated from Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The people of Paradise will see the people of the chambers above them as they see a brilliant star far away on the horizon in the east or in the west, because of the difference in status between them.” They said: O Messenger of Allah, will those be the chambers of the Prophets that will be attained by no one else? He said: “No, by the One in Whose hand is my soul; they will be men who believed in Allah and believed in the Messengers.”
    Agreed upon.
    Al-Haafiz said:
The words “and believed in the Messengers” mean in the true sense of the word, otherwise everyone who believed in Allah and believed in His Messengers would reach that level, and that is not the case.
·Doing wudoo’ when it is difficult, taking many steps to the mosque, and waiting for prayer after prayer
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Shall I not tell you something by means of which Allah erases sins and raises people in status?” They said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said: “Doing wudoo’ properly at times when it is difficult to do so, taking many steps to the mosque, and waiting for prayer after prayer. That is constant readiness.”
    Narrated by Muslim (251)
·The acts of obedience that are mentioned in saheeh reports as means of being with the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in Paradise
Muslim (489) narrated that Rabee‘ah ibn Ka‘b al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I used to stay overnight with the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and bring him water for wudoo’ and whatever he needed. He said to me: “Ask.” I said: I ask to be with you in Paradise. He said: “Is there anything else?” I said: That is all, He said: “Help me to do that for you by prostrating a great deal.”
Muslim also narrated (2983) that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The one who sponsors an orphan, whether it is a relative of his or not, he and I will be like these two in Paradise,” and Maalik pointed with his forefinger and middle finger.
And he narrated (2631) that Anas ibn Maalik said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: : “Whoever takes care of two girls until they reach puberty, he and I will come like this on the Day of Resurrection” - and he held his two fingers together.
Imam Ahmad narrated (12089) that Anas or someone else said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever takes care of two or three daughters, or two or three sisters, until they die before him or he dies before them, he and I will be like these two,” and he gestured with his forefinger and middle finger.
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in as-Saheehah (296)
    ,
To sum up: striving hard in doing righteous deeds, hastening to do good deeds, persisting in righteous deeds and acts of kindness, and competing in doing good and righteous deeds form the basis for reaching what one most hopes for in this world and the hereafter, even if that ultimate goal is al-Firdaws al-A‘la.
    Allah knows best

For those who came before you were doomed because of their questions and differences with their Prophets. If I commanded you to do something, then do as much of it as you can, and if I forbid you from doing something, then refrain from it."
