Compared to the new Saint's Row, this is an actual masterpiece!
I picked it up for $3.50 with all dlc the other day after seeing the shit state of the new saints row lol. It's actually pretty fun, just repetitive, but at least it works, is unique, and actually has fun to be had with the team builds in combat. It's by no means great, but for $3.50, it's fun lol. It's certainly better than saints row 2022 lol.

@Basketball American absolutely, the only DLC characters are the SR callbacks. This guy just tries way too hard to shit at this game, it seems ironic that he constantly bashes the game's wacky, b-class humor (which has been around since Saints Row) all the while throwing stupid 200IQ-type jokes "hueehuee muhhh writting bad hueeehe tlou goty". Like, dude, what did you expect from a SR kinda spin off? The over-the-top humor is there for a reason, it's made on purpose. I clicked this video thinking it was going to at least try to analyze why the game flopped (sales and review-wise), but instead it's just another insufferable stand up wannabe who seems to expect a laugh track at the end of his "jokes".

It's fun to play. Especially with it constantly being $3 in ps4.
Honestly though, this game was pretty damn fun. It's biggest strong suits was definitely the variety of agents you could play as. But i will agree that volition %100 fucked up the marketing of this game, people were so confused whether or not this was a saints row game. Not to mention this game did have a terrible launch being practically broken. The game itself also had flaws like bland side activities and the lack of co-op. Seriously Co-op could've been fun as hell in this game. Unfortunately, while I personally think this game was fun, I do believe it was a huge missed opportunity to actually be a good game.

This game gives me the same feelings as the Speed Racer movie. It was hated at the time but then became a cult favorite after seeing that things could be worse

I waited for AoM to be heavily discounted before trying it, I think I picked it up new for $5, and I gotta say, it was pretty fun. Definitely no Saint's Row, but it was still wacky and very out of context-y in its own way.

The combat and Saturday morning cartoon/GI Joe like premise are the saving graces of this game. AOM is a game where while it does have bright spots, I’d totally understand if you wanted to go spend your precious time playing something else.

They only claimed it was in the same universe though. I'm guessing that's where the SR stickers came in.

It is but it isn't. It's the alternate timeline created at the end of gat out of hell. The saints row characters in this game new timeline versions of themselves, all of whom have nearly identical personalities and stuff. Gat even has a few lines about vague memories of various things from saints row. The ninja agent actually implies she's aware of the previous time line.
Huh. Sounds exactly like the new one.

I've been a Saints Row fan since 2006 when the first game released. I do not like the direction they went in with 3 and 4 and I regard SR2 as the peak of the franchise. But I can still put my own bias aside and acknowledge that 3 and 4 are fun games to play and enjoy them for what they are. I would never call them "bad" games whereas a lot of old SR fans would because they felt alienated by those games.

This game was actually really good. But what would have made it great would have been Co-Op replayabilty.
The game already has the looter shooter formula without the loot (not counting crafting)

I just realised something the new saint’s row reboot copies a lot from agents of mayhem more than any other game in terms of gameplay at least
The animated cutscenes look like something for a parody you see playing in the background of a show.
this game wasnt actually bad. it was on game pass some time ago tho it was just a fun mindless shooter. didnt know the story or any characters but just going around destroying everything was quite a good time and the hardest difficulty is a challnge which was also quite fun

I loved this game and still play it to this day everyone just went into to it expecting it to be the next saints row instead of going in with an open mind set
They sorta advertised it as a successor to Saints Row so it’s on them
It's genuinely fun, but it's a shame the publicity for this game ultimately sealed his fate.

The open world aspects failed this game, as in the lack of them. The GI Joe parody story, the great characters, and the honestly interesting and well crafted gameplay of each character were great. The soulless overworld and limited side missions did it in. I got 60 hours out of it, though, so not too bad.

I got this from the Microsoft store for my xbox one for abt £2.00 as a pack w dlcs and I actually think it's fun and it definitely worth the price I paid for it. There could be some improvements though

I couldn't even finish this game cause I had a game breaking glitch where the game would crash every time I switched characters & the only fix was to delete my saves.
I started over only to get even more glitches that required restarting missions to the point where I just gave up.
Set the difficulty level to 15! That's how the fun begin. LOL And don't forget to buy Jhonny Gat DLC.

This should've DEFINITELY had an overwatch style multiplayer. Would've worked REALLY well as a single player game with some great 3rd person multiplayer game modes
There's a fun exploit where you can call down a giant laser beam from space. It says the duration is 30 seconds, and the cooldown is 5 seconds. I think they got the numbers mixed up because it's just instant damage with virtually no cooldown.

It's by no means a clean, bug free, perfect game, but it didn't (and doesn't) deserve the hate everyone has towards it

I dunno why but when they announced this game i thought it will be multi/co-op and everyone will be playing one of the agents in a team. Got me so hyped up i just straight up deleted it from wish list when i learned it wasn't like that.

I just did not like them, doesn't matter if it was 3rd (that everyone loves) or the one where you're a superhero.
