Kirsten Flagstad supersonic B-flats in rare bootleg "Ah! perfido" (1953)

An extremely rare 'bootleg' recording of Kirsten at her 40th anniversary concert in Oslo. The audio quality is quite poor compared to what I would usually post, but the quality of the soprano is quite superb so definitely worth sharing.
I have more excerpts from this concert (including her last ever Hojotoho!), but in dreadful quality and full of cuts. I will post them eventually when I get some time to clean the audio a bit.

This piece was actually composed by Beethoven, not Mozart

Her timbre is incredibly dark here.

It was always quite dark, but she was 58(!) here and I think it makes sense for the voice to get a little darker with age.

The coloratura is also pretty clean, though not as good as her ‘37 or ‘48 recordings which are completely effortless.

Have you heard Farrell’s own version of this? (czcams.com/video/SVz7fJ9e17k/video.html). Great musicality but the B-flats a little underwhelming (studio recording so maybe why).
I like Grace Bumbry’s version a lot.
