Well, technically you will get more value for Tatum than for Brown because teams think like these guys. So Brown would fair better because Tatum’s replacement would likely be a better fit whereas Brown is likely better than whoever you can trade him for. If I ran the Celtics I would trade Tatum for AD in a heart beat. KP, AD, Brown, Holiday and White with Horford, Hauser, and Pritchard off the bench would be league domination.

Jaylen Brown averages 28ppg for his career without Tatum. In each of the last 3 seasons, I believe he averages 30 ppg when Tatum doesn't play. I don't know if he would be the MVP, but he'd be in the conversation.
