K-Craft on eBay has lobster clasps that you and loop the leather through to make the tag lay flush on the purse and also very straight. Otherwise it is always tilted and odd looking without it.

It can't lay flat, because it can't be pulled thru the bottom of the square hardware. The leather is there. You can either go to the left, or to the right. You can't hook it straight down. I've got these tags on all my bags, and the way she shows how to do it in this video, is how the SA showed me in the LV store, when I bought my very first bag.
