  • Here is the very first video with my new piano. It is Feurich, produced in 1980. A gift from one lady. The piano has arrived like 6 days ago. A few more days and I will provide the first service. After that, I will prepare a short introduction / welcome video with the story how I got it, with a few pictures from moving and some more examples of music... Stay tuned (and in tune)!

I must say, I like the piano more & more... So far, I tested:
    - a few Beethoven Sonatas - I like it.
    - bit of Schubert - A-minor (D.784) and A-minor (D.845) - I like it.
    - a few Ravel pieces - especially Jeux d'eau seems to work perfectly. It's effortles and super-sparkling - I like it VERY MUCH.
Well... I think it's promising. Time to learn some sonatas! ;-) (as I used to)

I understand your happiness🙂 What about the neighbors, do they also have understanding for your new piano? 😀

Should be OK. The fact that I have a piano at home does not mean that till now, I was completely quiet. My speakers are loud, my software - synthesyzers and sampled instruments are mighty powerful and besides, I listen lots of loud music and if not listening music, very often there is a motor screaming in my simulators, very loud again. This is a center of the city and not a quiet village. In front of our house is a huge park where local "non-dutch-origin-kids-mostly" play for the whole day and they are so noisy... In the summer when everyone has opened windows, their shouts and nonstop screams will oversound my piano... :)
On my street, just a few houses next, there is a bunch of conservatory students. I hear a clarinet, I hear a trompet and I also hear a harp. Trumpetist sometimes blowing the pipe even around midnight (all the street can hear, of course).
Last fact - the place where I live in The Hague, it's well known that in the past, it used to be a heroin supermarket for the whole Netherlands (night trains station HS just close by). So, we all are now working on turning the most "forgotten" ghetto square in The Hague into a "muziekkwartier".
.... (and I am not stupid and I don't practice "bangers" at 10PM... I played for my visitors after 10PM, some quiter pieces and no one complained. And during the workdays, I am quite often completely alone in the house. That's the time to do noisy Beethoven stuff. I believe all this will develope into some sort of understanding. Lastly - piano also has a silencer system (I believe aftermarket installed, not original from FEURICH), in the introduction video, I will show that one...)
