Best of luck to you my friend. I'm in a similar situation here in the USA. Our country is ruled by Israeli bankers who steal at least 30% of my income in taxes every year and give me nothing in return. It's not a free country by any means. We have to pay taxes or a fee to do pretty much anything. I can't even go into a National Park nature area here and walk around for less than a $30 fee. It sucks being ruled by foreigners. Just walking around in town my actions are scrutinized by police officers who are looking for a reason to fine or arrest me. At least the Chinese aren't importing millions of foreigners into your country to replace you.

The CCP is interested in keeping the population weak by getting them addicted to alcohol. Uyghurs are muslim and don't drink alcohol. Well Tibet is in a difficult position because it's technically been part of the Chinese Empire since the late 1600s
And conquest and formal control was established by the Chinese in 1720, Albeit during a brutal sacking of Lasha and nearly burning the entire city to the ground
So understand this isn't me defending the Chinese but to help others understand that their historic claim to the land does have some international legal merit because they have been the rulers of the land for over 250 years
Now to be fair the Right of Conquest isn't allowed anymore by international law ever since 1949 but that's neither here nor there and not helpful in Tibet's current situation
IMO though they aren't worthy to the claim, because of how badly the Tibetans have been treated as a result of those 250 years and the subsequent half century since Chinese control was reestablished in 1953
But unfortunately Tibet finds itself in a very similar position to Taiwan where it's not a legally recognized country and even worse is that unlike Taiwan who was at one point given a seat at the UN, Tibet never had such a luxury
Meaning there's no historical legacy within the recent global world order that Tibet can point to and therefore seek help in regard to it's situation

      Invaded in 1942?
      "U.S. Policy Toward Tibet
The United States considers the Tibet Autonomous Region or TAR (hereinafter referred to as 'Tibet') as part of the People's Republic of China. This longstanding policy is consistent with the view of the entire international community, including all China's neighbors: no country recognizes Tibet as a sovereign state. Moreover, U.S. acceptance of China's claim of sovereignty over Tibet predates the establishment of the People's Republic of China. In 1942, we told the Nationalist Chinese government then headquartered in Chongqing (Chungking) that we had 'at no time raised (a) question' over Chinese claims to Tibet."

Imagine if Iran was overlord of Afghanistan.
Furthermore, much of the radical policies had been reversed by the time of the 1980s, under CCP Chief Hu Yaobang. He cultivated a protege who became CCP chief of Tibet. His name? Hu Jintao.😊😊
As a result, it was said that the CCP (the CCP, not the PRC gov) became responsible for the maintenance of monastic-based organizations.
By around 2008, it was also said that the exiles, over the years, repeatedly thwarted efforts between DL14 and CCP to sort things out. The exile movement understood that without DL14, the movement could implode.

This video covered the 1904 British India invasion of Tibet, but it didn't cover all the others in the late 19th century. The British would invade Tibet, slaughter Tibetans, loot, rape, and then they would approach the government of Tibet, which was the Qing dynasty of China, and demand ransom to leave, which the Qing always paid.
It's also interesting how Simon seems to have not bothered to study Tibetan history at all with his opening remarks. Tibet has seldom been peaceful historically. Despite this, they were largely left alone by China until they invaded China following the Tang Civil War and attempted to conquer vast swaths of Chinese territory. This forced China to view Tibet as a threat to be neutralized. Following that invasion, Tibet has always been under some form of Chinese governance, hence why they are peaceful now.

What fascinating the most is some random guys trying to justify this brutal occupation. Being a Tibetan and exiled , nothing angered me more than some outsiders flaunting comments on how much the roads and infrastructure have improved in Tibet , completely ignoring the human rights and challenges Tibetans facing both living inside or outside of Tibet . These developments are most likely to happen even if CCP didn’t take the time to brutally killed and destroyed our homes and monasteries in the name of modernisation. I don’t remember learning that our ancestors have made the call for the CCP to come in our rescue . No country’s history is beautiful but that doesn’t give another country the right to intervene.

Guess what happened? It's worst than apartheid times. Many South Africa black even envy the era of apartheid periods. Same as mongolia vs inner Mongolia. The inner Mongolian are so happy to be under CCP rule if not they will be like their Mongolia brothers, poor and corrupted. ill efficient. Mongolia just have a massive protest 10 months ago against their own government for corruption, and ill competent to tackle the problem of destitute and poor economy of Mongolia.

Do you think China forced South Korea to use its national flag? Do you know Yin and Yang? They placed the pattern invented by China 3000 years ago on the national flag. European kings require recognition from the Pope, while Asian kings require recognition from the Chinese emperor. Did the kings of Europe voluntarily accept the coronation of the Pope? The Chinese emperor will not decide who becomes the king, which means war. They first became kings and then notified China, which recognized them. This is the East Asian order. You can compare the European order.
