My Trip to Galesburg IL for No Reason - Part 1 (Amtrak Mini Vacation)

- Dugroz goes to Galesburg IL on Amtrak for no reason.
Departing old town Ottumwa, Iowa at 9 AM (roughly) on a beautiful July morning, I rode to Galesburg, Illiniois. There I spent 3-4 hours, and rode Amtrak back later that day.
Why? Just because I wanted to ride on Amtrak. I made it to my 40's having never rode on Amtrak before. I started out a rookie, and now I'm totally an expert. :) Watch this video to see how my maiden voyage on the "California Zephyr" went! 2 1/2 hours one way from Ottumwa to Galesburg. Part 2 will feature my "layover" in Galesburg, and part 3 will be my ride back to Ottumwa.

Glad you didn’t get shot while you was in Galesburg 😆. I’ve lived in the area most of my life and it’s very depressed. When manufacturing started to leave and the when the prison was built, the crime increased.
