- This is a video essay about why the MCU isn't as good as people make it out to seem. I love the MCU, and Infinity War is one of my favorite movies every, but the MCU isn't good. It's not bad, though, it's just eh.

Great video. You brought up some sad truths. I really think Marvel is on a steep decline right now. Now that the Infinity Saga is done, nothing is really keeping me tied to the franchise. I'm constantly forgetting that the Black Widow movie is even a thing to be honest, and I think it's going to be the same with mot of the new releases.

That's an interesting perspective. But art is and always be subjective. The mass consumer market just doesn't care about a lot of the flaws. People like what they like. I personally enjoy the MCU overall. But i would imagine most viewers suspend their rational, logical thinking when viewing comic book movies. There is a man frozen in ice and resurrected decades later. A Norse God with a magical hammer, a talking racoon, a man bitten by a radioactive spider and now has spider powers. I tell you it's absurd but I love it! Cheers 🍻

80% of the mcu is just mediocre movies that are cash grabs for viewers who don’t know what a good film is (the majority of the viewers/fans). It’s all quantity over quality for the mcu (Marvel+Disney).
The movies have boring fight scenes with too many quick cuts and cgi. The villains usually are forgettable and underwhelming.
The “comedic” character(s) (which are almost everyone at this point) are not funny at all, and the jokes fall flat. They made multiple heroes into idiots and/or clowns (notably Hulk and Thor in Ragnarok).
The directors don’t seem to have any originality or vision for their film(s). There isn’t passion or love in the direction. The camera angles are boring to watch. The lighting is boring. Etc.
The costumes are boring and dull colored. Them making “realistic” costumes is just them taking the life and uniqueness out of the costumes.
The fast pacing of the films doesn’t give the actors the chance to show off their acting skills at all. And the script holds them back so much. Most of the actors seem to be terrible actors, but then when I watch them in non mcu movies their acting is absolutely fantastic.

Hi! I got that a while ago when I start researching ! The video was called “Matthews Marvel Madness” but I couldn’t find it on their channel again when I tried linking it! I actually found it from Film Glob’s video about Marvel Fatigue!

Yes, he has a 40 minute video which is just complication of other you tubers opinion on it! That’s where I found confused mattew!

LOL. Disney has had "full control" of the Marvel since 2009! Disney has owned/was responsible for Daredevil, and the Punisher, and everything from 2009 onwards. But please, go on.

@@FULANODETAL "woke agendas." LOL Shocking absolutely no one, you don't know what you're talking about. Disney took full control of Marvel when they bought them in 2009. Period, full stop. Now after Civil War Feige no longer had to report to Ike Perlmutter, and so the MCU films with him as its head, was put directly under Alan Horn starting then.
And Perlmutter was further forced out later, so that TV was put under Feige as well. But if you're defending Ike Perlmutter? Well of course you would. So never mind.

Winter soldier is still a better film than endgame to me. I personally think endgame was overhyped because of the final battle. Infinity war is still a better film with better pacing. Endgame was just a bloated mess with a lazy script.
