This is one of the only documentaries out there featuring special forces operations from 2001, the very beginning of the war. I've seen this one with English commentary before but haven't been able to find it.

people fail to realize that the green berets are mainly teachers, negotiators, and recon. However, if called upon they can rain down an ungodly fucking firestorm upon those that challenge them. They are well trained in combat.

The M4 is used for urban combat hence it is shorter than its M16, M16A1 and M16A4 cousins. True the M4 wouldn't be as effective at longer range engagements, but this is why SF teams have a combination of firearms.

@lesdoyle2000 The "blasts" visible in the video are just the support beams buckling, the same thing can also be seen in the twin tower collapses. You can also see that one side of the building collapsed first, dragging the other side with it. That's the same side damaged by the main wtc collapse. Watch some videos of real controlled demolitions and compare, it's clearly very different. Lastly, the collapse caused severe damage to the surrounding buildings, indicating it didn't go straight down.

@Sh3pardMelody I'll be honest with you bro, it's a really tricky situation. It depends on who you're dealing with and where you're dealing with them. In Iraq, it was more of a "provide security while trying to maintain order", while in Afghanistan, it was a completely different animal. Your allies in Afghanistan were yours b/c you were one of two things: 1.) There with meds for the village children (which I was) (18-D), or 2) There recruiting clans to fight, and had more money than the enemy.

@lesdoyle2000 Just took your advice and watched that video and to be honest, it doesn't look like a demo to me. It clearly falls over on its side at the last instant. Also, simply the fact that so many people had their cameras pointed at it before it went down proves that there was some prior evidrnce that made it appear that it would go down, obviously not the case for a demo. People also insinuated the real wtc looked like a demo too, but they've backed off on that because its been disproved.

Most countries that cannot levy that many troops usually make sure their troops are as best trained and equiped as possible with the weapons in their arsenal.Usually non NATO countries are the best because they import many different types of weapons but when they suck up to the yanks they usually get American arms wich arent all that good.

Older. I am not saying that other countries don't have "involvement". It is just that the UK and the US are the ones who are giving the news conferenes and taking the credit for the victories. The US/UK represent the ones controlling the fighting. I just think that if other countries are being involved, they should be given credit and be involved in the victory parades too. You must admit that Germany, Japan and Russia are still considered enemies by many in both the UK and the US.

And American/British aren't risking their lives? I don't really see your point (if you have one). What has 4 star generals got to do with it of course they don't fight on the front lines. Germans and Dutch are doing peacekeeping not seeking out the threats. Swedes have like 400 people there. US and UK soldiers are the ones doing most the work in the ISAF. Yes Afghan National Army soldiers are helping but they have limited capabilities right now they need more training and equipment.

You seem surprised that people are killed during a war. There is a fine line between enemy combatants killed and civilians killed in the crossfire than genocide. Killing the enemy during a war is not genocide as you believe. Perhaps you don't really know what genocide is?
