Hank be careful by yourself
this is how neighbors and humanity as a whole should be kindness and helping others
Looks like the blind leading the blind help😎🇦🇺
Great job, Hank. It’s a nice day when you can help out a neighbor. Calvin seems like a great guy. Great video. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!! 🔧 🔧
Nice job-two neighbors helping each other.
🔧🔧 Hank concerned for your transmission since you were pushing on it pretty hard in PARK ..you can put so much stress on what I call a parking pin and snap it off. You might consider setting the E brake ,leave the tranny in neutral that way you won’t stress the parking pin - learned this from a trucker decades ago- awesome to see neighbor helping neighbor -say hey to Gina from JD, enjoy the channel, keep on keeping on
🔧🔧🔧 Teamwork gets the job done!! Awesome job, Hank and Calvin! 😎
Great job Hank is good people thank you for sharing
It seems to me that job would have been a lot easier if you released the hydraulic pressure from the drive motors.
Maybe so,... But what I would have had is about three or four 8 foot long round fence post and maybe one other helper or two but really I could have loaded this into that same trailer by myself using a a skid steer in no time flat. All he needed to do was place one right in front of the burnt out cat get it going a couple of feet , place another and just keep going, the winch on the trailer with a snatch block would have been all a guy needed to get the job done , and fast.
My brother built a 8 by 8 she'd on the one side of his corner lot, it eventually became part of the garden so he needed to move it, I was only 14 or so, his In laws were amazed at the ability to simply role the shed across the yard using round fence post, once we jacked the shed up and got the post under it ,it just rolled were he wanted it to go. We just had to take them from the back end and place them in front as we went ... work smarter ...😎👍
🔧 Skid on!! You’re a great neighbor, Hank! Calvin good luck to you. Be blessed!!
Nice to have good neighbors.
I just want to say Hank that your CZcams videos always brings great entertainment and helps me out as I'm going through this tough time with the arthritis that they found in my neck and now I have to go through another MRI again to see if it's not pinching on my spinal cord
The CAT 299D WT. is 11464 lbs. , That is more than your winch can easily pull. You might want to add some snatch blocks to lessen the load.
Good job u guy ...he's lucky to have a neighbor\friend like u Hank 😊
I cleaned 3 inches of oily leaves out of the belly pan of my Cat 951C. I was happy found that crap in there so I could clean it out. It looked like a real fire hazard to me. This guy lost a nice little skid steer and Andrew C. up in Saugerties, NY lost a really nice excavator up in flames last year.
Not good, at all, all the best to you all
Calvin is a cool dude. Like how he’s very observant. Hope to see more videos with him. 🔧🛠️
I’m glad you are helping out your friend with his machine you have a great day
What are neighbors for? Love thy neighbor as yourself. Good job hank!
I like the way you worked together nice to have a good neighbor
suggestions x2. One secure your trailer witch with the battery and wire up a charging pigtail so your is always charged , two. Need to pull final drive gears so that skid steer or an excavator to have them roll freely.
Howdy hank, I think that Calvin was in the services. He sounds like a gent He was on point listening out for information
Calvin seems like a great neighbor.
Enjoyed the video.
I wish I had a friend and neighbor like Calvin.
@@WornGuy both of them are cool people. The first video I seen on this channel with them two and it was an instant subscribe!
Calvin has a really good mechanical mind. He sees the problem and quickly works out a resolution, like when he was telling you how to get the forks properly under the machine while also getting your tracks partially on the ramps, which helped tremendously and it appeared that it was much easier to move the equipment onto the trailer.
Help thy neighbor. Great job.👍👍
For any tracked machine...you can get it to freewheel by taking the final drive cover off (have to drain the oil first obviously) and take the sun gear (center gear/shaft) our of the planetary set and put the cover back on (to keep clean). The tracks will then move freely. A little messy but easier than a lot of the alternatives...and next time bring some plywood to put over the ramps and end if trailer...that Cat would have been on the trailer in minutes if you had something smooth to drag it on
I was thinking two ramp lengths of 2x12 should be part of that trailer to cover those grip angles when you need to drag stuff. Those are made to stop you from sliding when loading normal, so yeah, when you want to slide they need covered.
Friends helping one anorther out thats what its about good video Hank
Good deed done Hank...well done....Stay safe
🔧 you and your wife are good neighbors ✌️
If you bring your winch cable too the Disabled Skid Steer, and put a pulley, on the Disabled Skid Steer, and bring cable back too your winch. You will get full power out of your winch. Your only half the Capacity of the winch... Just saying.
Hank and Calvin, the new super team in heavy equipment problem solving.
Hey Hank, if your friend hasn't done it, I'd encourage him to reach out to his local Cat dealer to report the machine fire. It is always good to report it, and identify the root cause. This could save a life in the future if it was a design failure.
Sad to se this happen but glad to see you helping your neighbor. As he said, "one thing at a time". The two of you worked well together, "team work". I'm guessing but I would say Calvin is a veteran. You can see it in his team work.
Thats a shame those 299s are fantastic machines !! With that skid steer and attachments you best stay on the back roads and fly under the radar ! You really need tandem duallys oh yeah howboutcha!!
Calvin is a top guy excellent 👏
Hank it the heat make anybody cranky
There wasn't no bad attitude in this. As Phill would say, what are you thinking? As i mentioned before get you some 4x4"s cut to length and put them in between the tandems of the trailer tires to prevent it from moving when loading and unloading. When loading angle from rear to front and opposite when unloading.
You know watching him Work is like watching Laurel and Hardy
His attitude was great and so was yours friends helping friends is how things should work. It's the golden rule played out
Who is the fine lady filming??😊😊
Just a suggestion, from 20 years of towing and recovery. Invest in some wheel chocks and place them at the trailer wheels when pushing like you were. You can severely damage your transmission putting all that pressure on the parking paw
Very nice job and God bless y'all
Wanna hear God laugh, just tell Him your plans. 😂 TFS
🔧🛠 good move Guys what happened to the poles lol
Lesson here is keep your equipment clean
I will start cleaning mine a little bit more
Can’t help but think that a couple of skid plates would make it slide a lot easier
Great job take care and God bless 🔧🔧🔧🔧🔧🔧
Awesome awesome HF Video Friday evening ...perfect!!
🔧 Great job Hank.
That was kind of you, helping out a good fella, great to see community spirit.
You would think a hydro-static drive would have a release, like on a lawn mower.
I'm still trying to figure out where the attitude is in this video I'm confused or it's just false click bait for views goodness gracious come on Hank
@@benbirkigt493 Hank was offended he offered to pay, just helping a neighbor out.
Wat is really goin on seems like he kinda shitn us
His attitude was a how friendship and favours help the world go round
This is how it works, everyone thinks the world revolves around money, sometimes it's just good friendships!!
🔧🔧🔧🔧 Hank, you should install a battery hook up in back of truck. connect that to battery so the winch has power.
Some people just don't appreciate kindness, my friend. Good job helping out with your kind heart, Hank.
You need to get a couple of GMRS radios. Quite possible you have a free to use repeater in your area that will extend the coverage many, many miles.
$35 for a license (10 yrs), and you can get great radios for around $25 each. I paid $17 For Baofeng UV- 5RPT'S online. When working in close proxcimity use a local TAC (talk around channel) goes quite far with out hitting a reapeter .
Great team work. I like that.
If the skids weren't turning I would have used more post's kept putting the one that comes out the back under the front, until it was on there,? ya got it done though 😊, great job, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
🔧
I always have a philips single pin connector from my truck to the trailer to hook up direct battery power from my truck.
This way the trailer battery always stays charged, and has no problem running winches or hydraulics.
If you keep running a winch on less than a full charge, the winch/hydraulic moror will get hot and burn up.
🔧🔧 Nothing better than helping a friend out! I don’t see any attitude!
He did real good YES! finally he got you to put the forks in the right position PUT THE FORKS UNDER THE MACHINE AND PUSH WITH THE FLAT PART OF THE FORK frame up against THE BACK END OF THE MACHINE he was a good guide glad he was there ALSO THERE SHOULD BE A VALVE YOU CAN TURN THAT ALOW THE TRACKS TO FREELY TURN MY NEW HOLLAND HAVE IT it is called a wrenching valve
Dang it, you got me again with that title there Hank. But I likely would have watched anyways so no big deal. Should be use to that by now.
anytime you can make good work out of a bad day is a win
HAY HANK, NICE JOB. YEAH, A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND IN DEED. KEEP PUSHIN ON HANK. PEACE...
I didn't mean the blunt message I just meant you are a good person and you would help anyone.
Wrench 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 🔧 Hello from Houston, Alaska.
Good job you too.
Hank "Plans are guides not straitjackets" EdT greetings from the UK
True!
Try some dawn dishwashing liquid that would of slid on that trailer like grease lighting
See a new tilt trailer in the future asap 😮
🔧
Oh man that really sucks for him. I feel for him . Things happen though
Yeah. He's such a good dude. I hate it happened to him
What ya needed was a couple 2x12 😊😊
Calvin he the Man
🔧🔧🔧🔧 Good job sir
🔧🔧🔧nice job
Shame that nice CAT bit the dust! Going to take a lot of 🔧 ing to strip those parts…🤣🤣🤣
Cool video!
🔧 Awesome
The alternating logs was working sadly abandoned but laughable just the same 👍😎✊
right...why stop using them?
Great video
Working together on this project will make me feel like I’m a part of the team
You need to mount a battery on the trailer for the wench. Tie it in to the electrical system for the truck and it will stay charged. The trailer should be wired for one already.
I’d enjoy you and Calvin doing CZcams videos. The both of you are a good team. You need a side kick to do anything. I do anyway
Let's get to getting 😊
Old boy knows what he's doing
Hi there Hank. When you hooked up your jumper cables to your friends chevy silverado trucks battery did you know that you are supposed to hook up the red positive cable to the red plastic positive cable not on the truck battery
You get some difficult jobs that you gotta pull those heavy skid, steers out.
🛠
If my legs looked like his I would never be without my pants 😂😂 31:31
Ivory dish soap om the metal will make things slide better.
A call to the local tow company with a roll back would have made short work of that. Wouldn’t be terribly expensive and much safer.
Fan from sweden here (Y) :)
Your winch if you put round the machine and back to winch or even one of shackles on trailor you will double the pull strength of winch
You should disconnect the driveshaft easier to roll Love you content keep it up
Should have placed boards on the ramps under the track's it would have slid much easier.
Why don’t you make a set of rollers that either retract or you can remove on the rear of your trailer? I mean if you keep trying to load dead equipment make it easier. For reference take a look at a trailer that they haul trusses on.
Hey if you release the torhubs it will move
just curious, why not use the two logs and keep.rolling it on trailer instead of relying on that winch?
So the pallet forks can be used on the bobcat, or the t y m tractor
Yes
You could’ve pulled the driver-side out and you could pull it up and down without the motor engage but you’ve dragged it up that’s fine but if you can disengaged it or Paul drives out the main motor issue
If my legs looked like his I would never be without my pants 😂😂
