jaws is a 1975 american thriller film directed by steven spielberg, based on the jaws rap battle 1974 novel by peter benchley. in the film, a man-eating great white shark attacks beachgoers at a summer resort town, prompting police chief martin brody jaws rap battle (roy scheider) to hunt it with the help of a marine biologist (richard dreyfuss) and a professional shark hunter (robert shaw). murray hamilton plays the mayor, and lorraine gary portrays brody's wife. the screenplay is credited to benchley, who wrote the first drafts, and actor-writer carl gottlieb, who rewrote the script during principal photography.
shot mostly on location on martha's vineyard in massachusetts, jaws was the first major motion picture to be shot on the ocean, and resultingly had a troubled production, going over budget and past schedule. as the art department's mechanical sharks often malfunctioned, spielberg decided mostly to suggest jaws rap battle the shark's presence, employing an ominous and minimalist theme created by composer john williams to indicate its impending appearances. spielberg and others have compared this suggestive approach to that of director alfred hitchcock. universal pictures gave the film what was then an exceptionally wide release for a major studio picture, on over 450 screens, accompanied by an extensive marketing campaign with a heavy emphasis on television spots and tie-in merchandise.

I'm surprised Jaws, or Loch Ness for that matter, didn't mention that he single-handedly traumatized several generations to the point it caused a massive decline in shark population. Sharks became a fisherman's trophy item shortly after the release of Jaws, which caused several species of sharks to sharply decline in numbers.
yeah kinda sucks, JAWS was a decent movie but the fact that people truly actually killed sharks because of it sucks

Jaws was very enjoyable to watch, came in very hard, but there's just not a lot to diss about Nessie, while Jaws had almost all of his weaknesses exposed and Nessie just had a very sweet flow

Dissing the cgi on the lochness monster movie, making fun of how hes a myth and prehistoric meaning he aint alive either, going to thr lake to do nothing and comparing his movie's success to sharknado as well as just comparing him to his success in the right ways to not make it sound just like gloating. However the lochness monster had some good ones too like the soup kitchen line and that one bigger budget one. However it aint as much as a clear cut win for either, but personaly jaws's bars hit harder imo

I slept on this one hard, when I first heard it thought it was okay but nothing special but I’m coming back now and jamming to it. It’s the same thing that happened with Cymbal Chimp vs Garden Gnome.
Jaws’ second verse was the best part. Mixing original Jaws score with the battle beat and keeping a scary flow. Jaws definitaly took the win. Sorry Benny.

I absolutely loved how Jaws theme played at the end there, it’s very fun to be able to get all the references in a rap battle so this one is definitely one of my favorites just cuz of that. Normally I at least have an idea of who might’ve won but this time I actually don’t know, this was too hot.

The one teased seemed female, with a brown jacket, blue skirt, long purple hair, wore a face mask, and purple eyes. Not sure who it is but hopefully that helps someone else who might know! xD

1:28 - 1:37 For the longest time i thought that was jaws speaking which threw me More importantly that greatly affected how I saw the battle. Now that I know that was nessie, I can say that this battle was more even than I originally thought. Before I thought Jaws straight murdered him, Now i think each one of them both had at least one killer verse with jaws just barley taking it at the end.
