    I don't blame the Mayas who surf this hype. I've been to Guatemala a few times and I know how complicated things are over there for indigenous people. If they don't do this, the ones getting wealthy are they new agers and the Americans who opened their business around the Lake to take over the indigenous territories. I would rather support a Maya in this regard. It's a pity to see that some mayans twist their own culture in order to fit to this market. and I understand the problems this can cause to the communities who want to stay loyal and preserve the old traditions. But I really disgust me the westerns who distort the culture to sell their rituals with cacao. anyways... thank you guys for bringing this video to talk about this subject. I will share in the groups I'm in!

    Wow, I even heard about this in the UK. I went to Stonehenge to celebrate the solstice last year which was a lovely experience, however at one point a lady offered me some hot cacao to drink saying it was ceremonial and she'd brought it for ceremonial purposes. I drank some and it was very nice to drink and I was grateful however I didn't know what the ceremonial properties were and didn't experience anything magical in the process so was a bit confused hence why I watched this video now.. Thank for reassuring me I didn't miss anything.. I was grateful for the drink and said thank you to the spirits and the lady who gave it to me anyhow lol....

      Thanks for sharing your experience! Indeed Cacao itself doesn't have anything magical as some people advertise around there. It's best benefits are the rich antioxidants components. But if it for this benefit alone, eating yellow and red peppers vegetables are far superior than Cacao.
      When people say they experience something with the drink, it is just the release of serotonin and dopamine the drink can do. Nothing different than wine or beer also can do change the mood.
      There are some people who can really create a nice atmosphere to hold an event to support others and this can be magical. And Cacao, coffee or whatever drink would be a nice companion:)

      I've been working on a small documentary to expose the fraud. It will take a minute to be concluded, but it will be worth the wait!
      I have a video on another channel where my tata reacts to some claims the arguelles community does. I will leave the link here down below:

    I didn't know this was connected to the mayans. But I've seen lately here in OZ women promoting that. I remembered when u, Eduardo, mentioned "guardian of the cacao" cause that's how they write on IG bios 😂.

    Does the cacao have psychoactive properties as it is said around there? At least in Italy, they say so.

    • @MayaDayKeeper
      @MayaDayKeeper  Před 5 měsíci

      Yeap.. despite all of the properties that cacao have, It is just an excuse to sell hot chocolate mixed with placebo for a way bigger price
