@dashondennis-watkins530 exactly, people act as if it was a total wash ignoring all the rounds Haney won due to the knock downs. They also ignore Ryan purposely coming in over weight. These the same people that still get mad at Floyd for coming in 2 pounds over for Marquez fight. They also ignore that Haney stunned Ryan early in the fight. Ryan will never give him a rematch because he knows Haney won't make the same mistakes.

Kambosos Jr. had no problem in the 2nd fight hitting Devin, he just had a problem making those connections count.

Devin's best chance to beat Ryan was in this version of Ryan, the one that squandered or sabotaged most of his preparations the way that Duran did in the 2nd fight.
Yet Ryan won with a 75% at best prep.
If you count the amateurs, they are 4-3 Ryan, so maybe one could say it's Devin's turn to even the score.
But Ryan was still developing that power, particularly in the area of delivery systems. And Devin will not be protected by headgear, like he wasn't in this fight.
Despite however being in trouble, Devin nonetheless fought like a warrior.
Haney got exposed like I always knew he would… you can’t be a great fighter without having those keys fundamental attributes…and Haney simply lacks too many of them. Devin wasn’t getting better…his opponents were cherry picked.
I said the exact same thing. After the Loma fight he only picks fundamentally flawed boxers with a name and this was a cherry pick gone wrong. He going to be average from here on out because everyone is going to be his size and are stronger. He will no longer have all 3 (the height, reach, and weight advantage)every fight and his punch resistance is not good at all. So he’s stuck in a catch 22. Either fight every fight against a puncher by jabbing and then running or holding and make for a boring fight. Or try to stand and trade and end up constantly on his ass.

There are some big punchers like Matias, Antuanne Russell, Duarte & Ergashev to name a few that are pressure fighters who don’t really get tired. At this point I’m not sure Devin could handle the pressure and power of Pitbull Cruz. I’m not really sold on Teo right now bcuz he is too inconsistent. one fight he looks spectacular and the next he looks like a bum. But as far as who is the best, I think the division is wide open and that there is no clear top dawg at 140.

Yeah it's always a bad night when you get whipped like that. However my issue is with two guys who balloon up to 170lb pounds or better and then kill themselves to make weight around 140lbs.... If y'all don't get the hell out of that weight division and move on to next . You can't hide out there forever, Devin Haney or Ryan Garcia haven't learned to stay dressed down in defense and get off because you don't have to fighting little guys whose punches you can withstand. Devin didn't have a bad night, he just wasn't that good he thought he was. Bill Haney gets props for getting him this far without stepping foot in a ring.. that's major!
