      To be honest, it was probably their intention, but they then realized who their audience was. I don’t know if I can speak for everyone but personally I don’t know if my younger self would even be able to comprehend the explanation even if it’s put out in the open plus it’s kind of a heavy topic for a children’s show. It seems like they kind of went the low-key route for it. My brief time working with kids, I could definitely see some of the kids were acting out just for attention. I’m glad that CZcams put this in my recommended. It’s kind of cool to look back retroactively at these kind of shows and get the adult perspective, as surface level as some of these cartoons can be some of the little things they lace in can be pretty thought out. If it was just Bloo, people would have probably been okay with this episode. It was the fact that Eduardo and Will, two of the nicest characters, were also being framed and yet Harriman and Frankie just took Bendy's word for it. Someone pointed out that when Bendy broke the vase, the gang didn't even know him. When Bloo said it was Bendy and Will vouched for it, that should have been the end of Bendy because Will wouldn't lie on a guy he doesn't even know. Heck, it pains him to lie period. You could buy that the two believed Bendy was framed by his kid, so probably felt sorry for him, but they chose to still doubt the longest and nicest resident there?
      That and how this episode could have ended if Bloo just let Bendy get caught naturally instead of getting involved.

This might also explain Bendy's behavior in the episode himself, as now that he's in a new environment with people who don't know about, he's finally free to not only escape blame, but to blame other people, which probably feels really good for him to finally be able to do what he's been subjected to for his whole existence.

I understand not believing Bloo, cause he’s always causing problems, but she just tossed aside Ed, wilt, and coco and everyone else.

      I have a couple theories for this:
      1) The immature caretaker theory: I think it more demonstrates Franky's point of maturity. It almost reads like a younger sibling getting the older sibling in trouble because they know mother will protect youngest/newest no questions ask.
      Inexperienced care takers or mothers may not stop and calmly examine the situation. They may let their emotions lead their perception and action which can result in unfair action in that interaction.
      Because of their immaturity in their emotional control, this emotion may carry and grow as more interactions happen resulting in the legendary double down on a bad action.
      The benefit of the doubt goes strongly on a new comer, but the way Franky straight up rejected everything was so immature.
      Theory 2: She is copying Harryman. Ultimately Fosters is a job for Franky and she wants to enforce the status quo. If Harryman doesn't see an issue then the action is correct.
      Not the strongest theory lol.

    Long Comment:
    My theory is that the kid and Bendy were actually a more extreme version of Mac and Bloo. Mac is a responsible kid who, if not for Bloo, would struggle to find time for fun and the shenanigans that comes with growing up. Mac just has the confidence to oppose blue and even peace out if Bloo is being too stupid.
    This kid is quiet and seemingly shy, and Bendy is very much like Bloo in the sense that he's destructive, selfish, rude, and a prankster. Bendy could have been imagined to help him in the same ways Mac imagined Bloo. However, because he lacks confidence, Bendy can't be kept in check and is probably easily guilt tripped into doing whatever Bendy wants to do, no matter how bad it is.
    Even in design they're in extreme contrast. Mack has round edges, but his shape language is a square, which is a sturdy and confident shape. Bloo is friend shaped and is meant to communicate that with his color choice too. Bendy's design is more willowy and even though he has a rounded design, the sharp scribbles, pointy hair, eyebrows, and fingers communicate a more untrustworthy appearance. Yellow is close to the opposite color of blue (orange) and is a much harsher color to look at. Bendy's creator is much more round than Mac, and with design choices like a white shirt to wash him out and messy hair, he communicates a softer, less sturdy or confident shape language and color pallet.

My brother would do stuff like that all the time, as well as other people I knew, usually not even on purpose but because I was always the scapegoat they just went with it. Once literally everyone knew he did it and when they tried to get him to confess by having him deliver the punishment (usually standing in the corner this time being spanked with the long dust pan handle) instead of confessing he hit me three times across the back. Back! Not bum, hard and then he still didn’t even get in any trouble after as I stood crying and being comforted for being punished for something I didn’t do. So yeah I can understand where everyone including bloo was coming from. And it only gets worse the longer they get away with it. It goes from doing bad stuff and getting away with it to doing bad stuff just to see you punished for it.

    You know, I think I realized the reason Frankie and Harriman believed Bendy over everyone else without hesitation: You know how most freinds have some sort of ability? Coco's item eggs, that super hero friend, the pilot Extremeasaurs' bomb segment tentacles? What if Bendy's ability is to make people believe he's incapable of doing anything to cause trouble? The boy's parents overcame it through evidence, and that's why they were able to drop him off at Fosters, but when they tried to warn the staff at Fosters, the ability activated, and Harriman and Frankie *couldn't* believe that Bendy was the problem?
    Edit: Theory on how Bendy was imagined. The kid wanted a "partner in crime", who would be able to get both him and the kid out of trouble. Eventually, either Bendy started to prank the kid, or threw the kid under the bus, or the parents just got a camera to catch the troublemaker and got evidence. That's why the kid looks like he knows he's in trouble too.

    I can't remember the episode but i do have a few theories of why bendy was manifested judging from the brief glimpse of the kids mannerisms and body language and bendy's personality:
    1) the kid was seeking attention from his parents that were too busy with work but he did not want to get into trouble so bendy was created to fullfil that desire.
    2) the kid got too much attention and was feeling smothered and anxious and created bendy from his desire for attention to be pulled away from him.
    3) he has siblings that are always getting him into trouble when he hasn't done anything wrong and he wanted them to feel how he feels.
    4) he has very strict and controlling parents and seeks to rebel but can't because of conditioning by the parents.

  • @RailfoxStudios
    @RailfoxStudios Před 9 měsíci +3

    My theory:
    As someone with their own baggage about their family, this kid honestly just gives me the vibes of a child with a troubled home life. Someone emotionally and potentially verbally abused into being quiet. Maybe the parents are going through a rough divorce, maybe one or both of the parents are non-physically taking their frustrations out on this kid, maybe he’s just not getting a whole lot of attention from his parents and has limited time to spend with friends. Whatever the case, things aren’t okay, and the kid likely doesn’t have much in the way of friends to mitigate that problem.
    This no doubt leads to an imaginary friend, and that friend is Bendy. Kids tend to act out when they’re not getting attention, since it’s way harder to ignore when someone pushes a vase off a shelf. If you can’t get even an upward glance from busy parents, you can definitely get one from doing something you shouldn’t. But if you’re too timid to actually do anything because you’re too scared to get yelled at, that can definitely make it harder to want to break things just to get someone to look at you.
    Enter Bendy, a nasty little miscreant who can not only hang out with you, but also frame you to make sure you get noticed, as well as take the blame for your own actual screw-ups. His entire purpose seems to go beyond just ruining everyone’s day, it feels like getting a wish granted by a genie. You want someone to hang out with? Done, but he broke one of your toys, whoops. You want your parents to notice you? You got it, and now they’re yelling. You want someone else to take the blame? You got it, and now you get to lose the one friend you had in the house.
    Also, worth noting, almost every single Imaginary Friend has clear and obvious superpowers. Wilt is incredible at basketball despite having only one arm and a wonky eye, Coco lays eggs with items inside, even Eduardo’s fleas had the power to form cities in his hair and talk to the gentle giant they lived on. There’s precedent for laser beams, flight, all kinds of stuff. I think Bendy’s power is to make people believe he’s innocent until explicitly proven guilty. This not only made it possible for him to be caught when the kid who made him was tired of getting framed, but it also still allowed Bendy to charm people just long enough to get the chance to do more of his own evil schemes. Clearly the charm stops working if proof of his crimes is provided, and over time it no doubt wears off and starts getting old, but I can absolutely see it being a subtler kind of power that Bendy possesses.
    I could be projecting with the kid that made him, but that’s always been my take on the whole thing.

  • @darthbane5676
    @darthbane5676 Před 9 měsíci +55

    My guess is that the kid who imagined Bendy kept getting in trouble, and wanted someone to blame everything on so he wouldn’t have to take responsibility. I think that kid had serious problems. He was a good kid who got blamed for something by adults in his life, or got held to a standard too high for a kid to handle.
    So he thought up a friend who would do all the mean things he'd never dare to do. Watching the chaos by proxy made him satisfied.
    But was too much trouble for his parents and they tore away the only friend who understood him instead of trying to understand.

    If I remember correctly (it's been years since I've seen this episode, for obvious reasons) the family at the beginning dropped off Bendy because the parents believed the KID was causing trouble at their place, and thought he was just blaming Bendy. So, because the kid "wasn't responsible enough to handle an imaginary friend" they dropped off Bendy at Foster's... where people started accusing Bendy.
    It's already bad that Wilt and Edwardo weren't trusted, but nobody flipped the script to figure out that the kid at the start was innocent as well!

      Kinda late response but ig u misremembered. The parents made their kid dump bendy at foster’s bc they said he was a troublemaker and didn’t want him in their house anymore. When frankie raised the possibility their kid was blaming stuff he did on bendy, the parents were offended by the idea and left. The kid’s guilty look hints Frankie was right (and that’s possibly why bendy acted how he did, doing the same stuff his creator did to him) but it's never outright confirmed
